Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this sleek LIMITED EDITION 1965 Shelby Cobra. This 50th Anniversary Cobra is the first one delivered of the 50 that were produced in total. It is untitled, and still on original MSO. The Shelby company has kept most of the features for the new Cobra much the same as the original 1965 model. They were manufactured with a lightweight body, fully independent suspension, upgraded disc brakes and come as a rolling chassis. The new owners had the option of engine and transmission as well has who installed these components into the car.

This powerhouse features the iconic 427 CID V8 that has been bored and punched out to a 496 CID. The engine with built by Shelby and Robert Yates, and not only gives it a rare pedigree, it also gives the car some superior performance capabilities. The engine is aluminum and serial numbered to the car. This engine has only around 55 miles on it since new. Along with the engine the aluminum-cased 4-speed Top Loader has been Serial numbered to the car as well. The engine is mated with a 4-speed manual transmission that rips through the powerband with ease. With all the power being put to the ground, it’s vital to have plenty of stopping power. This beautiful piece of machinery features 4-wheel disk brakes with Wilwood calipers. When purchasing the vehicle there were only 2 color options. You can choose between polished aluminum or the classic blue and white (over the full aluminum body). This one of course got the clean blue and white combo and is in excellent condition and painted by Shelby. Sitting on a set of knock-off wheels this car is show ready and itching for a new owner.

The interior of the car features black bucket seats that are in great condition. With the iconic reverse speedometer, fire suppression system, and overall killer appearance this car is not one you want to compete against. The combination of light weight, raw power, and clean overall appearance, you truly can’t find much to complain about. Some additional information includes a complete history file of the vehicle as well as a dyno sheet for the engine.

1967 AC Cobra Replica

Engine: 351 CID V8
Transmission: 5 Speed Manual
Mileage: 2,863 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom is a 1967 AC Cobra Replica. The Shelby Cobra was first made in 1961 when Carroll Shelby wrote to AC Cars, a British automotive company, and asked if they could build him a car with a V8 instead of their V6. Ford supplied the engine, at Carroll Shelby's request, so they could compete with Chevrolet’s Corvette. This vehicle’s build was completed in 2007- it’s titled as such. It was a well-executed build as all the wiring is unified and not a scrambled mess, which you’ll find occasionally in these builds. Grab onto the woodgrain wheel and hold on, as this vehicle has plenty of power to get you where you’re going. Motoring this bad-piece of machine is a 351- connected to a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine/trans combo makes for a truly enjoyable driving experience at any speed. Behind the excellent powertrain is a Ford independent rear suspension, which puts down the power very smoothly. This Cobra also comes with heater capability, so you can keep a passenger or yourself nice and toasty as you zip around town. A new owner is going have a lot of fun in this vehicle very soon! Will that be you? To view this 1967 AC Cobra replica in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Engine: 428 CID V8
Transmission:
Mileage: 4,807 ( actual )

Now for sale in our Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom is this spectacular 2008 B&B Shelby Cobra replica. This is an excellent quality build. Under the hood, you will find a mighty 428 CID Cobra Jet V8 engine, mated to a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission. Fast is a complete understatement. With little to no weight and a big V8 up front, this thing is a rocket. This one has been very well kept and cared for over it’s life. It has only covered 4807 miles since it was built, almost like buying a new one but for much less. Inside the car you will see harnesses for extra safety. Power is out to the ground via radial race tires that are rapped around racing wheels. Whether you’re looking for a cruiser, track day car, show car or something fun, this is the car. This car gives you the feeling of driving a car that can reach upwards of one million dollars, but without the extreme price tag. A lot of the replicas drive better than the originals and allow you to enjoy the experience without living in fear of owning something that would cost an arm and a leg to fix if something goes wrong. Many parts are easy to get and the cars are fairly simple. The lack of options list is based on how bare bones these are. When you’re behind the wheel of a Cobra, it’s just you, the car and the road ahead. A true driver’s car. Anyone looking at the pictures and video of this beautiful machine can clearly see why it’s a great buy. The design is timeless. Don’t wait until it’s gone to inquire.
