Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this truly classic 1970 Chevrolet Malibu. This car is the epitome of a true survivor car. This car is originally a one owner vehicle which has been inherited by the current owner. The original owner was a good old fashion house wife and only used the car for quick trips to the grocery store and occasionally to the next town over or an occasional vacation. It has been garage kept the past 20-25 years with period driving to keep fluids running through the car.
Powering this piece of American history is the original 350 CID V8 and 3-speed transmission, which has only 98,000 original miles. Over the course of 48 years that equivalates to a little over 2,000 miles PER YEAR! The engine was of course rebuilt as things do tend to wear out of the years and was done roughly 1,000 miles ago by Charlies Automotive back in 2001. Not only was the engine gone through but so was the brake system, fuel pump, hoses, belts, and carburetor. The current owner and inheritor of the vehicle had it fully serviced back in January of 2018 to include the fuel tank dropped and flushed, cooling system flushed, brake system serviced, transmission flushed, new ignition coil, and power steering flushed.
Walking around the exterior you will find the car is still coated in the original gold paint and shows all the history and memories given to the owner. This car needs a new owner to continue the memories for the generations to come and would be a great starter into the classic car world. This car may not be concourse but the ability to remain in such good condition over the course of 48 years is incredible. I know I for one hope to age like this car had in comparison to many others you will find out there.
Moving to the interior you will see it’s as original as they come and in good condition. The seats are gold and gray to flow with the exterior with normal wear and tear through the course of time. Don’t let the stained paneling behind the back seats scare you as it’s only particle board and could be easily replaced. The dash and gauges are all original and in good condition. For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom we have this great example of a 1976 Chevrolet Malibu Wagon. This story begins when the car was originally assembled in the Freemont California GM plant. Shipped out to Westlake Chevrolet Inc in Seattle where it was sold the first time. Today we are proud to feature this 2-owner wagon in our South Florida showroom. The second owner has it since 2015 in his possession and has gone through the mechanicals and refreshed pretty much everything. First let’s state here that this Malibu wagon runs fantastic. Powered by its rebuilds 350ci V8 with less than 20k miles on it since it was overhauled. The Chevy comes with following new parts: new aluminum core radiator, new A/C compressor (134), new battery, new fuel pump, new starter, new high output alternator, new water pump, new electronic ignition distributor, new 2-barrel carburetor, new power steering pump, new brakes all around, new rims and tires, new dual exhaust and more. The Malibu was repainted in its Buckskin color and features partial custom lace paint. She looks good all the way around. The interior of the car is mostly original and looks good for being 42 years old. Just the headliner has a couple of small tears and there is some discoloration caused by the sun. Other than that, you will feel very comfortable sitting in this beauty. Since this car was running on the west coast for almost its entire life the undercarriage is extremely nice. This wagon has not seen salt!!! Overall this is a very nice drive wagon that you could probably drive across country. With many options like: A/C, Power Brakes and Power Steering you will drive smooth down the highway. Perfect for the family to go on adventures and write new memories with this classic wagon. Let it ride!!! To see 100+ HD pictures and a video of this 1976 Chevrolet Malibu, please visit gatewayclassiccars.com. Now for sale at our Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is this stunning 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS Convertible. Is there a better muscle car to drive? The ’65 convertible four speed is a car that is more rare than one might think. Less than 20,000 convertible Chevelles were made in total. Drop out the SS models equipped with four speeds and you’ve got quite a rare car. Almost 55 years later and there are very few of these machines left. Many of those on the road are in poor condition. The car was completely restored in 1995 by the second owner. The original 327 CID V8 was replaced in lieu of a beefier 10:1 350. The Super T-10 four-speed was left in place but was complemented with a new clutch. The interior was revamped with a Year One interior kit and Stewart Warner gauges. The most special change made was the awesome and unique liquid flame paint job. Since then the cooling system has been upgraded along with a few trim components. This car was put together to be driven rather than just looked at. It drives excellently. The engine is a 1969 350 SB bored 0.30-inch over, balanced, blueprinted, iron GM rods, Speed Pro flat top 10:1 pistons, Comp Cams CS-XE2684-10 hydraulic camshaft, Weiand four-barrel aluminum intake manifold, Holley Street Avenger 670-cfm carburetor, Accel HEI ignition, Hedman headers, Flowmaster dual 2 ½ inch exhaust and assembly by Gary Langseth. Rebuilt OE suspension with 11-inch clutch. 12 bolt rear end with 3:73 posi differential. The wheels are Billet Specialty 17x7, 4.75-inch. Inside you will find a Hurt shifter, Chevrolet walnut three-spoke steering wheel, Custom Auto Sound AM/FM stereo. Lee’s Custom Collision did the Ember Red multi-stage urethane paint job and the flames done by Auto Art’s Charles Armstrong in Prescott, AZ. Now for sale in our Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom is this beautiful 1964 Chevrolet Malibu SS (Tribute) convertible. The color combination is absolutely gorgeous with the Sienna Blue exterior and matching blue interior. 1964 was the first year for the first generation of a car that went on to become one of the most loved American classics of all time. The Malibu was basically the top of the line Chevelle and came in a number of body styles. You could get a four-door sedan, two-door sport coupe hardtop, convertible or a two-seat station wagon. This being the convertible, it is the most desirable of all. The interiors were more lavish than the basic cars. In 1964 the top performance option was a 300hp 327 CID V8 engine. This one has a 350 CID V8 with even more power. It is bolted to the 4-speed manual transmission to give you the best driver focused experience. You really feel connected to the car in this one. The Malibu used to be considered an awesome rear drive American muscle car. But if you go to the Chevrolet dealership in 2018 you will see the nameplate on a front drive economy car. Sometimes we questions the moves that GM make. But, don’t go and buy the new and boring one, buy this one! Features include seat belts, 4-speed, Posi-Traction and rally wheels. Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this gorgeous 1964 Chevelle Malibu. The Chevelle was intended to compete with the Fairlane and was supposed to reflect a car similar in size to the Classic Tri-Five of the decade prior. They would go down as being some of the most memorable cars of our time. The Malibu continued its reign as the leading seller of the Chevelle and would continue to do so throughout the Chevelle’s life, because it boasted the highest number of model options with the 4-door sport sedan, 2-door sport coupe, convertible, 4-door sedan, and 2-seat station wagon. One could get anything from a base model 300 coupe with a 230 CI inline 6 with a 3 on the tree, to a 4-door wagon with a 327 and a 4-speed manual, to a fire-breathing 375 HP 396 CID V8 in the SS model. If you wanted it, chances are it could be found in a Chevelle. This beautiful edition of a 1964 Malibu Chevelle is equipped with a period and date code correct 230 CI Inline 6 and the “3 on the tree” 3 speed manual transmission. The car was resprayed back to its original Ember Red factory paint “code 922” in 2009. The red vinyl interior really matches well with the exterior and really gives this car that 60’s nostalgia. This car has been in a couple of movies and music videos and is just the right amount of cool with that cruiser drivetrain. For sale is this beautiful 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Indy Pace Car is in our Louisville showroom. This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Pace Car has an awful lot going for it - terrific curb appeal via a signature two tone paint job, a big block sitting underneath the hood to provide all the power you could want and a one of a kind interior that's been brought back to top shape come to mind right off. There were fewer than 4000 of its kind made to begin with, and most of those have fallen by the wayside over these past decades, so it's also got substantial collectability to go along with its outstanding, vintage good looks. Skillful restoration and good care have a powerful impact on a classic car and for this one, they've paid especially big dividends. The Dover white body carrying a pair of broad Hugger orange hood and deck lid stripes that help define this Camaro's pace car configuration looks great, and the stripes themselves have very clean edges. Chevy changed the configuration of the hidden headlights up front for this year, giving them distinctive horizontal vents that look great in their white surroundings, with a black SS grille sitting front and center and a pair of close-set fog lights looming below. The badging on all four sides is clean and securely positioned, and the front and back bumpers sport straight chrome with a great shine. For protection against inclement weather, the manual white vinyl top raises into place without any drama and has an impressively clear plastic window in back. The interior waiting inside is a stunner, featuring the original orange houndstooth check upholstery that also helped distinguished this special breed of Camaro when it was released. Options on this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Indy Pace Car for sale include; Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, Power Convertible Soft Top, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Tilt Steering wheel, Seat Belts, Cloth/Vinyl Interior and Rally Wheels with Radial Tires. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Indy Pace Car for sale is in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail, including an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For sale is this beautiful 1962 Chevrolet Nova 400 Convertible is in our Louisville showroom. The 1962 Chevy II (Nova) rode a 110-inch wheelbase, compared to 109.5 for the Ford Falcon, at which Chevy's new compact was aimed. The Chevy II one of the fastest new-car development programs in GM history – just 18 months after the designers got the green light, the first production Chevy II rolled off the Willow Run, Michigan, assembly line in August 1961, in time for its September 29 introduction. Unlike the Corvair, the 1962 Chevy II was deliberately never intended to be revolutionary in concept or execution; its mission was to give Chevrolet buyers a simple, back-to-the-basics compact car and it did. This Nova 400 convertible is very clean, but still very simple. A quick peek of the underside will show how clean the car. Under the hood, is the ever reliable inline 6-cylinder engine. The engine is backed by a 2-speed automatic power glide transmission. The interior is basically stock, but some of the vinyl ha been replaced with cloth inserts. The convertible is manual, but so easy to put up and down, that it only takes one person to do it. Options on this 1962 Chevrolet Nova 400 Convertible for sale include; AM/FM Radio, Manual Convertible Soft Top, Seat Belts, Cloth Interior and White Wall Radial Tires. 1962 Chevrolet Nova 400 Convertible for sale is in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail, including an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
