This is the car you want if you’re looking for comfort, style and big Hemi power. The Coronet reappeared for the 1965 model year as the intermediate sized B-body car using a 117 inche wheel base. When reintroduced in this 5th generation it was the biggest selling vehicle Dodge made that year! This is the 2-door hardtop version of the car which is one of the most desirable of the period. In 1966 Coronet received a redesign and you started to be able to get the 426 hemi as an option. The 440 Magnum that was in the R/T produced 375hp but the 426 Hemi pushed out a whopping 425hp! An incredible powerplant that has to be driven to truly appreciate. This is a numbers matching vehicle that even has the blue stripe tires that were only available from Mopar, only available for the Hemi and only available in 1966! Super rare stuff we are talking about here. This engine and transmission were rebuilt 27,000 miles ago when the car just went over 100,000 miles. The 426 Hemi goes through the factory automatic transmission and ends up at the 3.08 limited slip rear end. The exterior is a beautiful red color which looks excellent with the white vinyl interior. Features include an AM radio, spare tire, power brakes, power steering, jack and a spare tire. Rally whiles and the blue stripe bias ply tires really set the car off nicely. For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is this customized 1968 Dodge Charger Daytona Tribute. This is an instant attention grabber. This is a numbers matching car with just 47,876 original miles. The Daytona tribute is instantly recognizable by the massive rear wing and pointed front end. This car started its life as a big block 1968 Charger. A high quality fiberglass Daytona conversion kit was installed. From there, well known restorer, Eric Nelson, built the metal headlight assembly, metal wind supports, and stainless A pillar moldings. This numbers matching Charger is powered by its original 383cid motor mated to a 727 automatic transmission. Both the motor and transmission were rebuilt 538 miles ago. It has an 8.75 inch rear end with 3:73 gears. This Daytona is finished in a Black Cherry that looks great. Inside the car is exceptionally well done. The interior is as clean as they come and the embroidered seats turned out great. The entire interior was completely redone. The seats were reskinned, new seatbelts installed, new carpeting, new dash pad, new headliner, new lower door panels, and much more. The wheels on this charger were refinished when it was rebuilt. At the same time, new tires were put on. Also, a new Vintage Air, air conditioning system was installed. This Charger has new disc brakes up front as well. This charger has the original vinyl top and a rechromed rear bumper. Interestingly, the wing on this Daytona tribute was signed by Richard Petty. Richard invited the previous owner down to the Richard Petty experience and was able to run this car on the track at 139 mph. For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a rare 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T Convertible. Only 628 Coronet R/T convertibles were produced by Dodge in 1967. They were available with either a 440 Magnum V8 or a 426 Hemi V8 engine, they were equipped with a 4-speed manual transmission or a 3-speed automatic transmission (727 Torqueflite). The Hemi powered Coronet Convertibles being extremely rare, with a total of only 6 known to exist. This particular 67’ Coronet is an actual R/T convertible and was born with a 440 Magnum. The current 440 Magnum V8 powering this 67’ Coronet is not the original numbers matching engine, but it is period correct. A 727 Torqueflite transmission transfers the power to the rear end with ease. The trim tag indicates that Dark Red Metallic was the original color for this Coronet R/T, The car has been resprayed over the years, at one point it was believed to have been teal, but all is right with the world again, as it is back to the original color. The black vinyl interior features bucket seats, console, and console mounted shifter. The Mopar rally wheels are wrapped in raised white letter radial tires that provide an awesome stance and complete the classic muscle car look. With options like power steering, power brakes, and automatic power top this 67’ Coronet R/T Convertible is a must have for any Mopar enthusiasts. The odometer reads 45,009, but the actual mileage is unknown. Take a step back to the mid-1960’s, when muscle cars were really coming of age with this beautiful 1966 Dodge Charger. This Indigo blue Charger packs a 318 wide poly block engine topped with a rare 2-4 barrel manifold with 2 AFB carbs, cam lift 450” Duration 272d, coupled to a 727 automatic transmission and TTI headers. You will love the power brakes, power steering, 15 X 7 Super Supreme mags and the molded hood scoop. The blue leather interior is all original and very clean! During the early-1960s, automakers were exploring new ideas in the personal luxury and specialty car segments. Chrysler, fast to enter the specialty car market, selected their Dodge Division to enter the marketplace with a mid-size B-bodied sporty car to fit between the "pony car" Ford Mustang and "personal luxury" Ford Thunderbird. The intention was to create a fastback look while sharing as much existing company hardware as possible. The Coronet-based Charger that resulted was introduced in mid-season of the 1966 model year in retaliation to the Rambler Marlin, Ford Mustang, and Plymouth Barracuda. Style-wise it was a complete departure from the Dodge's mainstream cars. The 1965 Marlin, along with the Charger that arrived during the 1966 model year, were the two cars set the standard for radical fastback design in American mid-size automobiles because it was an intermediate like the Rambler Marlin, the Charger could have been an aesthetic disaster, but long side windows prevented its sweeping roof from looking too heavy. Gateway Classic Cars now has a very special and beautiful 1968 Dodge Dart GTS Convertible available in Houston! This one is powered by a numbers matching 340 CID V8 engine that goes through a factory TorqueFlite transmission. This engine has only covered less than 500 miles since the car was restored in 2013. Exterior is finished in a red with black top combination. Features include an AM radio, automatic convertible top, hub caps, power brakes, power steering, jack, seat belts, vinyl interior and radial tires. This is part of the fourth generation of Dodge Dart vehicles produced between 1967 and 1976. The Dart was substantially redesigned for the 1967 model year. It received new styling, revised steering systems, wider front track and frame rail spacing. Redesigned K-members were added to accept the larger engines that Dodge had in mind for the car. In 1967 you would also notice the rear window with inverse curves, creating a new and unique appearance at the rear of a greenhouse, but designed to collect snow! The 170 CID I6 was dubbed simply “Dart”, with the 270 and GT carrying on mostly unchanged. In late 1967 the GTS came out in limited quantities due to it’s lateness, but the 1968 was arguably improved anyway, by fitting the new high-output 340 CID V8! That is the car that you are looking at here. The first of the 340 GTS cars. Aside from the engine, changes for 1968 were relatively subtle. The park and turn lights in the grille were moved slightly inboard and made round. Side marker lights were added to the front fenders and rear quarter panels, to comply with newly introduced Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108. Shoulder harnesses (separate, this year and until 1973, from the lap belts) and non-glare matte finish on the windshield wiper arms were also part of the 1968 federally mandated safety package. This 1966 Dodge Coronet convertible is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The Cornet was released in the 49 lines up as MOPAr5’s first postwar body style. It would go through many different renditions throughout its 30+ years but the most memorable has to be the 5th generation line up. This example was a frame off restoration with a build book that documents the progress. Taken down to bare metal and starting from there it was painted back to its original color. The convertible top was redone as well with the black vinyl still being in excellent condition. Hit the button and watch as the she folds down exposing that beautiful blue sky Under the hood is the original numbers matching 318 which was rebuilt during the build as well. The 727 had the same attention shown, gone through and built back to factory spec. The interior in the car was redone at the same time with the bench being covered in black vinyl which shows great on this car. The factory AC is a great touch and an option rarely seen on Mopar’s especially convertibles. The original hubcaps are a great touch and give it that original look with the newer style radial tires giving it a better feel of the road. We are tremendously proud to offer for sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1968 Dodge Charger R/T. Not a dime was spared and not detail was missed in this build. You can't find another 1968 Dodge Charger like it at this price! This beautiful Charger started life out as a 440 4-speed car and is still equipped with the original 4-speed and Dana rear end. Power comes from a fire breathing Ray Barton 528 Hemi crate engine producing 650 horsepower! The Hemi is equipped with aluminum heads and intake with a single four-barrel carburetor feeding fuel. The engine is also fitted with a March Serpentine belt system and a 3-inch TTI exhaust system. This giant Hemi sits a little taller than the old 440. To clear the hood, some serious custom work was performed to the original steel hood. There are around 130-man hours in the hood alone! The builder started with a stock steel hood, relocated the recessed areas further out for the Duster scoop to fit between them. What a magnificent job! If you've ever restored a black car, you know how much time and patience it takes to get it right. The underside is also painted in a high gloss black and looks just as good as the top side. 17-inch Boyd Coddington aluminum wheels finish off the look. An adjustable coil over suspension and Alterkation K frame with rack and pinion steering give this Charger the perfect stance. Slowing down this 650-horsepower beast is a set of Wilwood disc brakes on all four corners. Power is transferred from the original 4-speed and back to the original Dana 60 rear housing 3.54:1 rear gears. The interior has a very stock appearance to it; however, it was also fully restored like the rest of the car including all the gauges, seats, carpet and headliner. There is also controls for a new Classic Auto A/C unit. The build was a total rotisserie and was completed in 2011. Since its completion, the car has been shown nationally and received a 1st place at the Mopar Nationals in 2011 with a score of 995 of 1000 points, 2012 Gold Muscle Car Nationals with a 997 out of 1000, 2013 Magnificent 7 Winner, 2013 Gold at the Muscle Car Nationals in Chicago, 2013 1st at the Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, KY, 2013 Best of Show at Mopar Happening in Belvedere, IL, 2014 Gold at Muscle Car Nationals in Chicago, 2015 1st place at World of Wheels Chicago. The build has certainly proven itself with the mentioned awards. There are 300 miles since the completion. Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this super cool 1968 Dodge SuperBee. Between the classy paint job and the healthy engine, this car is sure to turn heads while cruising down the highway. Under the hood of this beauty is a 383 CID V8 that was good for roughly 335 horsepower when new thanks to a four-barrel carburetor along with some other internal components. This powerplant allowed the car to reach 60 MPH from a stand still in just over six seconds. sending the V8 power to the rear end is a three-speed automatic transmission that shifts smoothly through the gears. The block is finished in Mopar blue that really ties together the look of the engine bay nicely. Moving outward, the car is finished in metallic gold paint that has some very minor chips and scratches, but otherwise is in good condition. The rear of the car features the original style SuperBee graphic which is in good condition also. Supporting each corner of the car are black steel wheels with polished accents. Wrapped around those wheels are classically styled BF Goodrich redline radial tires with good tread life left in them. Upon entering the vehicle, the driver will notice the very clean all black interior. The Bench seats are finished in black vinyl that is in good condition. Sitting below the seat is clean black carpet. The driver will appreciate the power steering and power brakes that allow for comfortable maneuvering of this rather large muscle car. Continuing with driver amenities, tucked in the dash is a radio if the sound of the big V8 becomes undesirable. Overall, this car is a very good driver quality and would be well suited for weekend cruises or a local car show. Now featured in our Denver showroom is this tastefully modified 2001 Dodge Viper GTS dyno’ed at over 430 horsepower to the rear wheels! After the Viper hit the market in the early 90’s, these cars have grown a huge following and is clear to see why given the V10 engine in this lightweight coupe and sleek lines. 2001 was one of the last years of the second generation of Vipers which saw an increase of 15 horsepower to 415 and had anti-lock braking introduced. This Viper specifically has had a few modifications including VIPAIR intake and smooth tubes for better flow coming in and helping it breathe out well is the Belanger headers and cat-back exhaust that not only adds power, but a superb sound! Unitrax half shafts were added as well to stand up to the additional power and the rear end was equipped with a set of 3.73:1 gear ratio for quicker acceleration off the line than the stock 3.07:1. Once you slide in and get behind the wheel of this Viper, the excitement starts to set in. Turn the key and the V10 comes to life! Put it in gear, roll into the throttle, and hold on as all that power tries to push you through the back of your seat. Once the RPM’s creep up and you let off the throttle, a symphony of pops and bangs and growls bellow from the exhaust. With the discontinuation of the Viper from the Dodge brand, there has been a steady uptick in demand for these cars and have steadily been increasing in value. This 2001 Dodge Viper is a great candidate for someone who is looking for a fun car to take out on those sunny days and weekends without having to worry about the drastic depreciation as the miles tick upwards. This Dodge Dart GT has a Factory crate 360 Magnum with 390 horse power and then when you add in the 150 shot of NOS, you get boosted up to 550 horsepower! The transmission has a shift kit and stall converter that is hooked up to a performer series driveshaft, and then hooked up to the 8 ¾ rear end with high tempered 355 gears. You don’t have to worry about body flex because this Dodge Dart GT has professionally installed frame connectors/rails and a body stabilizer kit. The black fiberglass hood really makes the gold paint pop, and if the color wasn’t loud enough then you will surely be noticed when you flip the electronic cutout out for the exhaust and go in to race mode.
