Now for sale at Gateway Classic Cars here in Houston is this beautiful 1940 Ford 2-door sedan. Powered by the legendary 350 CID V8 small block Chevrolet v8 engine mated to a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. This awesome driving machine has only covered 2,000 miles since the build was completed. The exterior of the vehicle is done in a gorgeous, vibrant red with custom pinstriping. The cabin is a lovely place to sit and features excellently finished cloth and leather seats, AM/FM radio, seat belts and most importantly for those hot summer days, air conditioning. This one is easy to maneuver around tight parking lots and heavy traffic, thanks to its modern power brakes and power steering. The combination of all of these features and the fact that it came from California, really brings up the desirability level to 10. A high flat-topped hood dominated the front look of the 1940 model, as the grille spread out to reach the fenders to differentiate the Deluxe line and the headlights were pushed wider still. The standard Ford inherited the grille of the 1939 model with blackout on each side of a heavy chrome center; heavier headlight surrounds serve as another major differentiator from the 1939. 1940 was the last year of the 1937 design. Sealed-beam headlights were one of the few major advances for 1940, while a hydraulic top was new on the convertible. The 1937-1940 generation of Fords is one of the most popular automobiles for hot rodding. Early stock car racing drivers also used Fords of this generation among other cars. This Ford also formed the basis for a style of dirt track racing car. Don’t miss your chance to get behind the wheel of this one. Contact Gateway Classic Cars in Houston for more information. Financing and shipping options are available. Office hours are Monday through Saturday 9-5pm central time. The telephone number for our showroom is (832) 243-6220 or if you prefer, you can email us at email@example.com.

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our Chicago showroom is a 1940 Ford Standard Coupe. This is a very cool hot rod! Power comes from a well built 1953 Mercury V8 Flathead that has been fitted with a 3/4 race Comp Cams camshaft, a decked set of cylinder heads for more compression, Brassworks radiator and a 12 volt electrical system. This car makes such a great sound! There's nothing like a well built high performance Flathead. Power is sent through a 3 speed manual mounted on the column. Both the engine and transmission have roughly 1,000 miles since the rebuild and offer issue free enjoyment. The engine was professionally built at Flatland Flatheads out of Oklahoma City. These guys know their stuff. This car will turn heads with the sound alone. Painted in an inconspicuous Clay with a tan interior and a set of period correct hubcaps. The front end has dropped front axle that offers a lowered ride height by a smidge and is fitted with confident inspiring front disc brakes. Adding to the great ride is a set of radial tires and some comfy leather seats. Inside you will also notice the restored gauges that have also been rewired for the 12 volt system. Surrounding the gauges is a beautiful machined turn gauge surround. Completing the 12 volt upgrade is an alternator in place of the old generator. There's no more worry about the car starting, the 12 volt system is a significant improvement over the old 6 volt system. For more information on this well built 1940 Ford Standard Coupe, call 708-444-4488 or swing by our Chicago showroom for an up close viewing. Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is excited to offer this very unique 1940 Ford Super Deluxe Flower Car once again. If you're scratching your head thinking "I've never seen one of those before!" It's probably because you most likely have not. This 1940 Ford Deluxe was produced by the Ford Motor Company and then converted by The Eureka Manufacturing Company of Rock Falls Illinois into a flower car. Essentially starting out as a 5-window coupe, the conversion lengthened the chassis and the convertible rear casket compartment was created with metal rollers and pins to store the side rails that would hold flowers in place. This car had a dual use of being enclosed with the original canvas cover for the less elaborate funerals and having the rear compartment cover removed and side rails installed for a more elaborate send off. Flower cars were popular during the middle of the century and now are rarely seen in modern funerals. While most if not all of these conversions done by Eureka were on General Motors vehicles this one being a Ford and not a Packard or Cadillac makes this highly obscure and is believed to be the only one ever made. This car was purchased new in 1940 and check out the original photos of the car being delivered. Now fast forward 78 years and you will notice that not much has really changed. This is an original, unmolested, unrestored car that still retains the original paint, original canvas cover, original interior and powertrain. Now is your chance to own something that nobody else has and enter the world of Professional Car Collectors. Surely this will be the only one at whatever show you attend and thanks to years of maintenance and recent service work performed this car is ready for the road and will cruise at highway speeds. New parts include brake shoes, wheel and master cylinders, brake hoses, rear axle seals, new points set, fuel tank, fuel pump and carburetor overhaul. Located in our Chicago showroom, this 1940 Ford Deluxe Flower Car can be seen including an HD video and pictures at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For additional information please call (708) 444-4488 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

For sale in for Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom is AN ALL-STEEL Henry Ford-bodied 1940 Ford Coupe. This one is also the 2007 Hot Rod National Champion, a flaming-hot 1940 Ford Coupe. The 1937-1940 generation of Fords is one of the most popular automobiles for hot rodding. It was also made popular in early stock car racing. 1940 was the last year for the 1937 body style. The following year Ford would put a straight six in its coupes instead of a smaller V8. The exterior of this 1940 ford coupe is in immaculate condition starting with the custom flames paint job. The owner of this coupe sparred no expenses on the paint work. To make this coupe pop it was fitted with 20-inch chrome rims that are wrapped with Toyo Proxes. The interior looks as if no one has sat in it since the restoration was completed. The red ultra-leather doesn’t have a single blemish on it. The dash is completely digital and don’t worry this car has Vintage Air to keep you cold in the summer and warm in the winter. Now for sale in Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is one very cool all-metal 1940 Ford Sedan Deluxe. Covered in a Creme and Burgundy two-tone paint scheme, it looks like any other nicely-done 1940's sedan, but this one is not what it seems at first glance...but more on that later! Its exterior chrome is in good shape, and the interior chrome trim looks great! Open the hood, and you'll note that the engine bay sports a decidely non-'40s GM 350 CID V8, with a mild Comp Cams bumpstick, double hump heads, a Holley aluminum intake, Edelbrock 4BBL carb, and coated shorty headers. Power Steering and A/C are added benefits; along with a massive HD radiator with twin pull fans behind it and a big pusher fan at the front. Certainly this is one sleeper rod that will run long and cool. The 350 has less than 5000 miles on it since it was built, and it and the GM TH350 3-peed auto trans work seamlessly with the 3.08:1-equipped GM 12-bolt posi rear end to get this thing up to speed quickly. When you want to scrub off that speed, the front disk/rear drum brake combo work in tandem to haul things down quickly. When you come to a stop, you'll appreciate the menacing rumble that the custom dual exhaust with FlowMaster mufflers provide, and so will your audience at the cruise-ins you'll be frequenting in this stylish "old gal with the young heart"! Moving to the inside, you'll appreciate the craftsmanship that went into the restoration of the interior. Using modern materials, but keeping the vintage motif, the interior looks as though it could have been original, but it's obviously a modernized upgrade of the fabrics that it would have had. In keeping with the accent color of the exterior, the maroon synthetic leather-trimmed cloth seats and all carpeting coordinate nicely with the exterior. Occupants will appreciate the extra space in the back, and everyone will enjoy the air-conditioned comfort that this baby provides. The AM/FM/CD head unit provides your choice of audio. The driver will appreciate the addition of the Equus Pro Tach, and the 3 gauge cluster under the dash helps keep vital engine functions monitoring just a glance away. Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer up this cool 1940 Ford Coupe for sale. Between the attention-grabbing paint job and the relatively modern powertrain, this car is sure to be a fun toy for the new owner. Under the hood of this beauty is a Chevrolet 350 CID V8 engine that has been rebuilt roughly 1,900 miles ago. When driving the car, one can tell that this engine is fresh thanks to the abundance of power and a strong, smooth pull all throughout the rev range. The engine is kept cool thanks to a Walker radiator. Also, the car is equipped with Sanderson headers to provide a mean sound. Sending the power to the rear end is a turbo 350 three-speed automatic transmission that shifts smoothly through the gears. The rear end in this sweet ride is a curry 9" that is geared just right to provide the car with a good balance of acceleration and top end. The handling of this beauty is greatly enhanced by the front end sourced from a Mustang II. Helping bring the car to a brisk stop are power disc brakes at all four corners. Overall, this car drives like a relatively modern car and is very fun. Upon entering the cabin of the vehicle, the driver will notice the completely redone tan leather interior. The seats are very comfortable and provide much more support than the original style seats would have. This car also is equipped with comfort features such as power windows, heat, air conditioning, heated seats, and a custom radio and sound system. The trunk of the car has also been done in the tan leather theme of the interior and looks great. Adding to the cool features of this car is the fact that the trunk lid is power and comes up with the push of a button! Overal, the interior of this beauty was very well thought out and is comfortable. Moving outward, the exterior features a bright yellow basecoat with flames painted running from front to rear. The paint is in pretty good shape and would really come alive with a proper detailing and waxing. supporting each corner of the vehicle are american racing rally wheels wrapped in almost new BFG radial tires.
