Engine: 400 CID V8Transmission: Turbo Hydromatic 400Mileage: 82,436 ( undocumented )
Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this excellent 1973 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 Ram Air. This Formula 400 Firebird checks off all the necessary boxes to make this a worthy car for the first time “Muscle Car” purchaser looking to have fun, or the long-time collector looking to add to an existing collection. The first box to be checked off is “appearance”. How appealing does it look? At first glance, the Navajo Orange is an eye catcher and combines well with the beige bucket interior. The front end looks aggressive and sucks you in with dual snorkel functioning “Ram Air” hood. The sleek, bold styling of the car exudes a classy confident attitude. The second box is “performance”. This Firebird performs just as good as it looks. It boasts a 400 cubic inch numbers matching motor, along with a 4-barrel carburetor and “Ram Air” option. All you need to do is step on the gas to awaken the sleeping giant. Power is transferred from the engine through a Turbo Hydromatic 400 automatic transmission to a 10 bolt posi-traction rear end which now houses 3.42 gears. The third box is “value”. To some this may be the most important box. How do you determine value or forecast value in a car? There are several factors that affect this category: two of which are already checked off. Let’s think in the terms of supply and demand. In 1973, Pontiac only produced 4,622 Formula 400 cars. Many fell victim to the crusher or salvage yard. Some were torn apart and key authentic components were replaced with non-original parts. Others are parked in non-operating condition and rusted out in a field, barn, or garage. Very few of the 4,622 that were produced made it to 2018 with original equipment that were also kept in prestigious condition. Of the 4,622 Formula 400 vehicles, only 533 had the functioning “Ram Air” hood. Yes, this is one of the 533 born with that very special option. Another factor of determining value is, “can you prove the car is what it is?” Yes, with documentation, VIN, data plate, and number stampings, which this 73 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 Ram Air has. Lastly, with Camaro’s fetching top tier prices, the focus has turned to what the next “Muscle Car” to ignite is. Buying trends are already showing favorable promise to the second-generation Firebirds. When you take all of this into consideration, this car is a trustworthy investment. Most of all, you can hop in and enjoy cruising it while your investment appreciates. You can place a big check mark in this box! Options include (cold) Air Conditioning, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, Rally Wheels, and Posi Traction. For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is this beautiful 1974 Pontiac Grand Prix. This is one of the best original survivor cars that we have seen here in our South Florida showroom. With less than 75k original miles on the clock the car is in overall great condition. The original paint is in superb condition for being over 44 years old. We checked all body panels with our paint meter and this is the real deal. Thin and good looking. The same goes with the interior. All original and clean from the dash to the rear bench seat. Jump in the buckets seats and start her up. The 400ci V8 engine sounds strong and it is a pleasure to cruise around town in this clean 74 Grand Prix. The 3 speed automatic transmission shifts smooth through all gears. We are always amazed when those original survivor cars roll in our showrooms. Unfortunately this doesn’t happen every day. If you are looking to get an all original mid 70’s Pontiac Grand Prix than this is a must have for you. The chance to find one in comparable condition is pretty slim, especially in this beautiful color combination. The GP is equipped with following options: A/C, Spare Tire, AM/FM Radio, Power Steering, Power Steering, Jack, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, White Walls, Rally Wheels and a lot of fun. This is the real deal and must see. Please give us a call to discuss the Pontiac. Let it ride!!! Gateway Classic Cars offers this 1970 Pontiac Le Mans. This one is finished in custom Orange paint with a Black interior. For 1970, Pontiac reshuffled its intermediate lineup with the Le Mans nameplate downgraded to the mid-line sub-series previously known as the Tempest Custom and included two- and four-door pillared sedans, while the previous top Le Mans series was renamed the Le Mans Sport. This year, bigger engines - which had previously been reserved for GTOs - were made available on lesser Tempest/Le Mans models including a 400 CID V8 rated at 265 hp (198 kW) with a two-barrel carburetor or a 330 hp (246 kW) option with a four-barrel carburetor and dual exhausts. Less expensive than the GTO, the T-37 hardtop coupe offered a GT-37 appearance package that included striping, three-speed floor shift transmission, tuned suspension and other trim. The GT-37 was available with any Tempest/Le Mans V8 from the standard 350 two-barrel to the 400 four-barrel. Our Detroit Showroom is proud to offer this unique Pontiac Tempest GT-37. This car was actually based on the less expensive Tempest line. To create such a budget-priced muscle car, it was decided to dress up the plain-looking coupe with GTO-like extras and call it the GT-37. These cars had GTO fender striping, hood-pins, and GT-37 badging making it stand out above base Tempests in appearance. This specific Tempest has been pampered by the same owner for well over 3 decades now and its time for this gorgeous Pontiac to find its new home. With very low original mileage, this Pontiac has plenty of life left for you to enjoy. It is wrapped in Canary Yellow with a Brown interior that flows well together and looks correct for its time period. The original Pontiac wheels are in great condition and the stance on this GT37 looks like its ready to take off. The potent, numbers matching V8 under the hood is paired to a 3 speed manual transmission that comes equipped with a freeway friendly rear end gear ratio. You can enjoy amenities like power steering and power brakes which make this Pontiac pretty fun to drive. For more information on this GT37 give us a call at 313.982.3100. For over 120HD photos and video, please visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or visit our showroom at 15000 Commerce Dr N, Dearborn MI 48120.

Engine: 455 CID V8Transmission: 4-Speed ManualMileage: 14,800 ( undocumented )
Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer up this mean 1971 Pontiac GTO Judge tribute for sale. Between the retro styling and the powerful engine, this car is extremely fun to drive. Under the hood of this beauty is a 455 CID V8 that has been hopped up with a rebuild and fuel injection. This sweet powertrain also includes MSD electronic ignition. This engine pulls much harder than one would expect. With a proper set of tires, this car could even be a mean 1/4 mile racer. Sending the power to the rear end is a Muncie 22 four speed manual transmission that shifts correctly through the gears. Overall, this powertrain is bad*** and really gets the car going! Upon entering the car, the driver will be greeted by a clean black interior. This car does not have very many frills, but it is equipped with heat for those colder drives. This sweet ride does also have power steering and power brakes. Overall, the interior is in good condition with a few minor imperfections. Moving outward, the exterior of the car is is finished in copper colored paint and fitted with Judge trim pieces. The paint and trim are in decent condition with some flaws on the front end. Supporting each corner of the car are rally wheels wrapped in radial tires with decent tread life left. Overall, this car looks pretty good and drives even better! Engine: 455 CID Big BlockTransmission: 6 Speed AutomaticMileage: 2,035 ( since rebuilt )
For sale in our Dallas Fort Worth showroom is a 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge tribute. This black beauty started life as a 242 GTO with a 400 cubic inch engine and a 323 open rear end. But during her full frame off restoration in 2012 she received some major upgrades. The biggest upgrade she received was to her drivetrain. The built 455 cubic inch motor was bored to .60 over with a mild competition cam and hardened valves and seats. Stainless steel headers and brand new exhaust give the new engine a nice rumble. The new engine is paired up with a freshly built turbo 400 transmission mated to a Gearvendor overdrive adapter. That means you have a total a 6 gears to go through on your cruise instead of just 3. The suspension was beefed up to handle all the new power with Hotchkiss TVS suspension in the front and rear of the GTO. The builder didn’t stop at drivetrain upgrades, he went in to the interior and completely upgraded everything. The ice cold air conditioning will blast you out of the car in summer and if that doesn’t then the thumpin’ stereo sure will! Full premier Alpine component stereo system with 3 amplifiers, 10” subwoofer, 6 SPX-17 PRO speakers, cd player with aux inputs, and a remote control to help keep your eyes on the road. If you have been looking for a black GTO then look no further because you just found the cream of the crop here in Dallas. Engine: 400 CID V8Transmission: AutomaticMileage: 54,981 ( undocumented )
Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to offer a super clean 1974 Grand Prix Model J. There is a class of vehicle which is becoming more and more difficult to find: original and unrestored. With the popularity of resto-mods, or complete frame off restorations, there are fewer and fewer survivors out there. This particular 1974 Pontiac Grand Prix is an unrestored car with 54,986 original miles. The engine and trans are original and believed to have never been out of the car. It has the 400 CID V8 and an automatic which run and shift beautifully. The exterior is green which is in surprising great shape for the age of the vehicle. Needless to say, most mid 70s muscle cars have either been wrapped around trees or rusted to pieces. It great to see such a well-preserved piece of Pontiac history. Opening the door is like stepping back in time. The green upholstery is in wonderful condition as is the dash and steering wheel. This was a high line vehicle in the 70s, so it’s loaded with all the goodies: Air Conditioning, AM/FM/Cassette, power steering, power brakes, and even power windows! Whether you’re a Pontiac collector, or just entering the classic car hobby, this cream puff 1974 Grand Prix Model J would be a great addition to any collection.
