Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this mean machine 1973 Dodge Charger.

Mopar fans, here is one Charger to see. 1971 through 1974 were the 3rd generation of these classic Mopars. They entered the marketplace as the mid-sized B-body car between the pony cars and the personal luxury.

This one had the same owner the past 41 years before the current owner bought it. It is powered by a Gary Grimes built 383 CID V8 engine with the 727-torque flight transmission. These were nearing the end of the muscle car era in the 70’s and everything began to change and disappear with muscle. This bright orange ’73 with an orange and black interior is equipped with AC, power steering and power brakes, radial tires and rally wheels.

1970 Dodge Challenger

1970 Dodge Challenger

Engine: 440 V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 94,483 ( actual )

This good looking 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T is for sale in our Indianapolis showroom of Gateway Classic Cars. The data tag confirms this Challenger is a true R/T equipped with a 440 V8 390 HP 3-2BBL Carburetor (six-pack) set-up. The owner does not believe this to be the original 440 V8, but it is period correct to the car. The Yellow is not the original color to the car. Originally the color of this was Dark Burnt Orange Metallic with a white vinyl top. We think the yellow exterior and black vinyl top. The interior decodes as vinyl high back bucket seats, but it does not designate the color. The current owner is not completely sure about the rear end, but it originally came with a Super Performance Axle package with 4.10 gears. The complete breakdown of the data tag is available upon request. Overall, this Challenger R/T 440 Six Pack is in very good condition. With the recent work done to the Challenger, it will bring the fun factor. You may want to set aside a little cash as this car is very capable of melting the rear tires. This 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T has new brakes, new Holley carburetors (six-pack set-up) and the heads have been reworked. Options for this 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T include; AM radio, Seat Belts, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Vinyl Interior, Chrome Cragar Wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial Tires. 1970 Dodge Super Bee V-Code

Engine: 440-6 V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 89,085 ( undocumented )

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1970 Dodge Super Bee. This 440-6 4 speed car benefits from a recent frame off restoration and looks fantastic. The restoration was very detailed and focused on correctness. The engine and transmission were rebuilt at the time of restoration and have covered a modest 500 miles. Enough for proper break in, yet still very fresh. The engine is a warranty replacement from many years ago and the car is equipped with a correct Dana 60 rear end, appropriate for a 6 pack car equipped with a 4 speed. Options are slim but let’s face it, it’s a high performance muscle car... who cares about options. Big block power and a four speed, yes and yes! The three 2 barrel carbs are dialed in nicely. The colors for this rare Mopar are original and perfect for nostalgia. Who else is tired of every car being repainted red? We must save the rare colors from the good days. Burnt Orange Metallic with a white Super Bee stripe over a Sunfire Orange vinyl interior and a set of body colored steel wheels wrapped in redline radials make this car stand out. Whoever spec'd out this car knew exactly what they were doing. Inside are bucket seats, a full array of gauges and a pistol grip shifter. 1975 Dodge Dart Swinger

1975 Dodge Dart Swinger

Engine: 360 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 57,161 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 1975 Dodge Dart Swinger in Our Louisville Showroom. Over its original 13-year production run, the Dart earned a good reputation. The Dart was one of the most successful compact cars ever introduced in the American automobile marketplace. It enjoys a strong owner loyalty and is a car that has established a reputation for reliability and value. These little Darts also had a reputation for being fast when properly equipped. This Mopar Orange example has been properly equipped for speed. This Dart could almost be considered a sleeper, but the intimidating hood scoop and big/little Weld Racing Drag Lites give it away that this is just not another reliable or cost-effective Dart. As soon as the key is turned and the engine rumbles to life, you suddenly realize this Dart means business. Under the hood of this bright orange Dart is a built up 360 CID V8 engine. The engine has been bored .030 for a little extra displacement and to insure the rings are sealing for compression of the pistons. Feeding this healthy little 360 V8 is a Holley 750 cfm dual line carburetor. The sent gases exit through a new set of headers and exit through axle dumps. The rear end has been slightly narrowed so that meatier (wider) tires and wheels can be mounted for better traction. The rear end is a posi-traction unit and has been loaded with 4.10 gears. The white vinyl interior is still mostly factory original with only the addition of a Ratchet Shifter, a big Tachometer, water temperature and an oil pressure gauge. If you been looking for a fun little strip/strip car that won’t break the bank, then hear it is. Call soon before someone else is tearing up the streets in this muscular Dart. Options for this 1975 Dodge Dart Swinger include; AM Radio, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior and Weld Racing polished Aluminum Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. 1973 Dodge Challenger

1973 Dodge Challenger

Engine: 318 CID V8
Transmission: 904
Mileage: 3,696 ( undocumented )

For Sale in our Louisville showroom is this 1973 Dodge Challenger. Introduced in fall 1969 for the 1970 model year, the Challenger was one of two Chrysler E-body cars, the other being the slightly smaller Plymouth Barracuda. Positioned to compete against the Mercury Cougar and Pontiac Firebird in the upper end of the pony car market segment, it was a rather late response to the Ford Mustang, which debuted in April 1964. Even so, Chrysler intended the new Challenger as the most potent pony car ever, and, like the less expensive Barracuda, it was available in a staggering number of trim and option levels, and with virtually every engine in Chrysler's inventory. This beautifully restored car is a real head turner. With classic car looks and the strong Mopar heritage, this 1973 Challenger for sale has everything you need to get into the classic car hobby and buy right. Under the hood is the durable and peppy 318cid V8 that seemed to find its way into just about anything Chrysler. This mighty small block motor was known to be a high revving and full of torque. It was married up with also durable and mighty 904 3 speed automatic transmission. This car came with power steering and power brakes. The styling is what makes this car so great. The dark red exterior with black accents give it that great Mopar vibe. The interior is all new black leather and looks awesome against the dark red exterior. The odometer states 73,xxx miles, but with the build on this car being completed only a year and a half ago, this car only has around 1000 miles since. Options for this 1973 Dodge Challenger include: AM/FM Stereo w/CD Player, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, and Aluminum Alloy Rims w/ Radial Tires. This 1973 Dodge Challenger is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1970 Dodge Challenger

1970 Dodge Challenger

Engine: 440 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 2,878 ( since rebuilt )

Through the years of fans and enthusiasts, certain automotive terminology tends to build its own appeal. For example, in most gearheads' minds the term "Plum Crazy" recalls one of Chrysler's most creative and confident eras. "R/T", short for Road/Track, invokes visions of muscle cars prowling small town streets. "Dana 60" or "Scat Pak" incites visions of late-night stoplight brawls and octane-fueled quarter-miles. And who could forget "Hemi", the incredible V8 that led Chrysler through an era of epic performance. If you are looking for first class Mopar muscle then look no further than this 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 440 Six Pack car sporting the iconic Plum Crazy purple paint on the exterior with black vinyl top. Being 1 of only 847 Challengers in 1970 to have the 440 Six Pack mated to a 4 speed manual adds even more excitement to owning this classic piece of American muscle. Given its resurgence in popularity, no doubt aided by the current LC-based version, the Challenger is considered by some to be the quintessential American muscle car: a status that naturally invokes an aggressive and exciting aesthetic. At the front of this Challenger, a 1970-exclusive grille hangs an unmistakable "Challenger R/T" badge between pristine headlights, amber parking lamps and a mirrored bumper. Behind that grille, a pinned, Hemi-branded hood props bold "D O D G E" lettering in front of clean glass that is framed in correct stainless and capped by correct vinyl. At the sides of that hood, a sculpted profile hangs correct R/T stripes amid fresh rocker trim, flush door handles, a correct mirror and ornate ""Challenger"" scripts. And at the back of the car, a stainless-trimmed valence centers body-width taillights and more ""D O D G E"" lettering between a second ""Challenger R/T"" badge, a second mirrored bumper and correct, quad-outlet exhaust tips. Open this coupe's light hood and you'll find the legendary, 440 cubic inch Hemi that, while not original to the car, is a date-correct piece that has been professionally rebuilt and maintained to keep it’s nostaligic looks and performance. All of the 390 horses reside in a glossy Hemi Orange block. And exhaust is handled by correct, low-restriction exhaust manifolds that feed an H-shaped crossover. Slide under this spotless E-Body and you'll find a solid chassis that's ready for the turntable. Satin Black paint highlights exceptionally clean floors that have been finished to better-than-new condition. Behind the Hemi, lives the original 4 speed manual transmission to the car that is tight and shifts like new. Helping transfer all of this excitement to the pavement are is the factory Dana rear end that houses a set of 3.54 gears. Stops come courtesy of correct power front disc and rear drum brakes. And all this Mopar goodness rolls on stylish Rallye Wheels, which twist radial tires with raised white lettering around polished trim rings and silver center caps. Peak your head in the window of this car and you'll find a correct Black interior that's functional, straightforward and very comfortable. The front bucket and rear bench seats are wrapped in pliable vinyl covers that display hardly any signs of wear. Below those seats, stain-free carpet floats Challenger-themed mats at the sides of a correct, wood-trimmed console and cool Pistol Grip Shifter. The wood-trimmed dash seats correct Rallye gauges and has been painstakingly restored to its original glory. In front of the driver, a correct steering wheel mixes subtle form with major function. And behind the passengers, a nicely finished trunk centers a correct jack and space saver spare tire between a correct mat and new decklid decal.
