For sale in our Houston showroom is this amazing 1968 Dodge Charger R/T Tribute. The pictures hardly do it justice, as this car has had over $150K in restoration work done on it during a total restoration, completed just 18 months ago. Every nut, bolt, and screw has been paid attention to, and every piece has been detailed to perfection. Everything works, including the original clock!

It started out life with a 383 CID V8 car but now this R/T is equipped with the venerable 440 CID Big Block Wedge V8, with a serious cam upgrade. If you like the sound of a big bumpstick's lopey idle, this one will put you in heaven. With only 850 miles on the powertrain since the engine and TorqueFlite 727 automatic transmission were rebuilt, it's only just getting broken in. All of the resto work was completed by Hot Rod Joe's in Lafayette, LA, including the powertrain rebuild. There is NO rust on this car, and it has a brand new trunk pan and rear quarter panels. This beast is bathed in an eye-catching red paint job that's so deep you'd think you could dive in and swim in this "red sea". Combine that with the white bumblebee stripes around its tail, and it will get you stares wherever you go in it.

The engine bay is so well-detailed, with EVERY painted surface being done in a beautiful glossy finish, that one could just stare in there for hours, marveling at the attention to detail. In there, you'll see its massive aluminum radiator with twin electric cooling fans (to reduce parasitic horsepower loss in addition to improving cooling vs its original belt-driven fan), and a chromed Powermaster alternator to keep its Optima battery charged. The undercarriage is so clean that, should you choose to put the car on a rotisserie and flip it over, you could eat off of it and not worry about getting contaminants in your food. Crazy-well-executed would be an apt description for this car. Inside, you'll find everything as nice (or nicer) than when it rolled off of the assembly line Hamtramck. With immaculate white vinyl seating that looks like it's never been sat upon, and new black carpet on the floors, it's a magical experience to sit in this car and enjoy its Clarion SiriusXM head unit (with Bluetooth) and Classic AutoAire R134 AC system: the creature comforts they provide its occupants may make it very difficult to disembark from this ride, indeed...But, it's an even more magical experience firing it up and taking it for a spin - everything about this B-body's driveability is a dream: from the power its Wedge generates, to the way it shifts, rides, and stops makes for the stuff that dreams are made of. It "whoas as good as it goes", with a set of disc brakes at all four corners, with beefy 255/50 ZR-17 NITTO 550's on the rear and 245/45 ZR-17's on the front, wrapped around some custom aluminum Mopar-style rallye wheels. Combine that with all new bushings, and it also handles better than any '68 Charger R/T ever did from the factory.

For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a rare 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T Convertible. Only 628 Coronet R/T convertibles were produced by Dodge in 1967. They were available with either a 440 Magnum V8 or a 426 Hemi V8 engine, they were equipped with a 4-speed manual transmission or a 3-speed automatic transmission (727 Torqueflite). The Hemi powered Coronet Convertibles being extremely rare, with a total of only 6 known to exist. This particular 67’ Coronet is an actual R/T convertible and was born with a 440 Magnum. The current 440 Magnum V8 powering this 67’ Coronet is not the original numbers matching engine, but it is period correct. A 727 Torqueflite transmission transfers the power to the rear end with ease. The trim tag indicates that Dark Red Metallic was the original color for this Coronet R/T, The car has been resprayed over the years, at one point it was believed to have been teal, but all is right with the world again, as it is back to the original color. The black vinyl interior features bucket seats, console, and console mounted shifter. The Mopar rally wheels are wrapped in raised white letter radial tires that provide an awesome stance and complete the classic muscle car look. With options like power steering, power brakes, and automatic power top this 67’ Coronet R/T Convertible is a must have for any Mopar enthusiasts. BACKGROUND: The Coronet is an automobile that was marketed by Dodge as a full-size car in the 1950s, initially the division's highest trim line but, starting in 1955, the lowest trim line. From the 1965 to 1975 model years the name was on intermediate-sized models. A coronet is a small crown consisting of ornaments fixed on a metal ring. The Fifth Generation Coronet (1965 - 1970) reappeared for the 1965 model year as the intermediate sized B-body using a 117-inch wheelbase. Trim levels initially were base Coronet including a Deluxe version, Coronet 440 and Coronet 500. This particular Fifth Generation Dodge Coronet 440 has a very intriguing red exterior paint that can't help but to draw closer attention. This 1970 Dodge Challenger was driven by Jack Nicholson in the 2007 movie, The Bucket List. This is not your run of the mill 1970 Dodge Challenger as its not an original car but a resto-mod created by famed muscle-car builder Ted Moser, who also built them for the Fast and Furious movie series. It’s powered by a late model 5.7-liter Hemi V8 backed by an automatic transmission. The whole package is brought to a halt by a set of Weldman disc brakes. After The Bucket List movie, the car appeared in a few TV roles, including on NCIS with Mark Harmon, and the 2010 movie, The Runaways. So, now you know where the cars been, but the best is yet to come. With less than 3000 miles on this build, the car has a ton of life left and is ready for someone to driver her. For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1968 dodge Dart. This bad to the bone Dart is both show and go! The meticulous restoration was a no expense spared job that included a lot of high performance goodies. Power comes from a built 451 based from a 400 block that features aluminum main caps, Veolia Pistons, Bill Mille aluminum rods, 3.375 billet crank and roller cam and lifters. The cylinder heads are aluminum Indy 440 1 cylinder heads as well as an Indy aluminum intake manifold and a CNC ported valley pan. It's equipped with a Milidon oiling system, Milidon oil pan, custom push rods, K Motion valve springs, Stainless steel valves with lockers and retainers, Mopar performance aluminum water pump and a Holley 1050 Dominator carburetor. Exhaust and the menacing sounds that emit from this power house come out of custom headers, exhaust and Borla mufflers. This power needs something just as stout to transfer the power back to the rear wheels. Accomplishing that is a TCI Power Glide transmission, TCI torque converter, Jerry Bickel Chromoly drive shaft with billet trans and rear end yokes, Strange 9 inch with 40 spline spool, 4.56:1 gears and Strange 40 spline axles. Putting the power to ground is no easy task. Accomplishing this feat are Strange double adjustable rear shocks, Chassis Works ladder bar, Strange struts, Strange Rack and Pinion steering and 19.5 Mickey Thompsons wrapped around Weld Racing Aluma Star wheels. Up front are 26x5 Good Years also wrapped around Weld Racing Aluma Stars. Slowing things down is drama free thanks to a set of Strange four wheel disc brakes, Strange master cylinder and steel braided brake lines. Safety is one thing that shouldn't be taken for granted and certainly not missed. This one is ready to hold you in place and keep you safe. Doing so is a custom 12 point roll cage and Stroud 5 point racing belts. Other notable build details include a Hurst roll control line lock, Hurst Quarter Stick shifter, Griffin radiator, Barry Grant fuel system (400 pump & 4 port regulator), Painless wiring harness, Jazz 15 gallon fuel cell and of course beautiful workmanship that shows through and through. The Dart was one of the most successful compact cars ever introduced in the American automobile marketplace. It enjoys a strong owner loyalty and is a car that has established a reputation for reliability and value. These little Darts also had a reputation for being fast when properly equipped. This Mopar Orange example has been properly equipped for speed. This Dart could almost be considered a sleeper, but the intimidating hood scoop and big/little Weld Racing Drag Lites give it away that this is just not another reliable or cost-effective Dart. As soon as the key is turned and the engine rumbles to life, you suddenly realize this Dart means business. Under the hood of this bright orange Dart is a built up 360 CID V8 engine. The engine has been bored .030 for a little extra displacement and to insure the rings are sealing for compression of the pistons. Feeding this healthy little 360 V8 is a Holley 750 cfm dual line carburetor. The sent gases exit through a new set of headers and exit through axle dumps. The rear end has been slightly narrowed so that meatier (wider) tires and wheels can be mounted for better traction. The rear end is a posi-traction unit and has been loaded with 4.10 gears. The white vinyl interior is still mostly factory original with only the addition of a Ratchet Shifter, a big Tachometer, water temperature and an oil pressure gauge. A few options were available to include the R/T package adding a “Super Pak” option. This consisted of front and rear spoilers, wheel opening flares and louvred rear windows. A new stripe kit was also added as well. An R/T equipped with this package became a "Super R/T”. This Aspen is powered by a 340 CID V8 that has plenty of power for this little car.
