1969 Chevrolet Camaro COPO Tribute

Engine: 427 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 82 ( since rebuilt )

For sale in our Dallas Fort Worth showroom is a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro COPO Tribute. Over the years, COPO has become synonymous with Chevy’s monster-displacement Camaros. It’s a term that is still used today by Chevrolet for the purpose-built drag racing Camaros, which are released year after year, just 69 units at a time. But what does COPO really mean? An acronym for “Central Office Production Order,” COPO was the method used by dealers in the know who could use it to order options, or a combination of options, that weren’t specifically listed on the order forms. The most famous use was when dealers used the COPO system to circumvent GM’s 400-cu-in limit on anything that wasn’t a full-size car or a Corvette. If you knew what dealers to go to and who to talk to, you could have used the COPO system to order a factory installed 427 in a 1969 Camaro or Chevelle. This COPO Tribute was done up right with a complete nut and bolt restoration. Completed in Oct 2016, 82 Miles have been put on the car since being completed. This car has all the right stuff, a new 427CID BBC Estimated at over 500hp, topped with super rare original L88 Winters Snowflake heads. This combo packs the punch you expect from big block in a small bodied car! This is one of the few know 1969 Camaro’s with cowl tag stamped “NBR” vs “NOR”. Correct Chambered exhaust, OEM Exhaust manifolds, Winters Intake, 850 Holley Carb, Cowl Induction, Solid Lifter Cam that provides an amazing old school sound. Complete body and drivetrain restoration, 12 bolt 4.10 Posi Rear end, disc brakes, M21 Muncie Trans, OEM style Polyglas tires on OEM color matched rims with dog dish hub caps. Nothing was spared on this restoration, with papers listing over 90k of work done. The car is painted in its original color of Garnet Red, The exterior is finished in base coat clear, professional 4 stage wet sand and 3 stage power polish. The interior is just as nice as the exterior, finished in standard black trim, every item in this car is new. Radio delete, 140mph speedo, new hurst shifter, new carpet, new seats, tilt steering, power steering, power brakes. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS

1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS

Engine: 396 CID BBC
Transmission: Four Speed Manual
Mileage: 1,430 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to offer one of the most iconic cars in the history of automobiles - a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS convertible for sale right now in our Arizona showroom. Painted a beautiful shade of Hugger Orange with a white manual convertible top, it'll give you many smiles per gallon. Pair that up with a black and white Houndstooth interior, and this is a color combination that's hard to beat. This car runs, drives, handles, steers, and stops like you'd want and expect it to, the only thing is the current owner does not have the paperwork to document this is originally a big block 4-spd model. He bought the car as seen here, and was never able to confirm that this was the powertrain it had from GM. If it was documented, you better believe the price would be a lot higher and the new owner probably wouldn't drive it for fear of damaging an investment-grade automobile. With this Camaro, you can go out and have fun with it, enjoying the torquey engine, shifting through the gears, and feeling the sun and wind in your face. It also cannot be documented that this is a real RS/SS model, but again, it is now and can be enjoyed as such. It's still "is what it is". It's an attractively priced first gen Camaro equipped just right at a fraction of the price of a documented car. Don't miss this iconic 1969 Chevy Camaro convertible for sale right now in our facility. For more information or to schedule an appointment to view this vehicle in person, please call the Scottsdale showroom at 623-900-4884 or email us directly at scottsdale@gatewayclassiccars.com.

Mileage: 45,003 ( actual )

Currently in the Denver Colorado showroom we have the unique pleasure of offering you this numbers matching 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28! When you combine the fact that this car has only 45,005 documented miles on the odometer plus the complete nut and bolt restoration that was completed in 2007 it is sure to earn the respect and admiration of anyone car collector or not. This stunning Camaro was built in the Norwood, Ohio plant during the first week of June and comes wearing the classic Cortez Silver paint. The Camaro was introduced in 1967 to attack the Ford Mustang success. The first-generation lasted until this 1969 model year when it again paced the Indianapolis 500. For 1969, the Camaro had all-new sheet metal except the hood and trunk lid giving the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned with the heavy “V” cant and deeply inset headlights. New door skins, rear quarter panels, and rear valance panel also gave the car a much lower, wider and more aggressive look. The wheel wells were flattened with sculpted feature lines flowing off towards the rear of the car and rear-slanting simulated air slots ahead of the rear wheel. The front had a full width chrome bumper integrated with the body color grille surround and round parking lights positioned on either side of the license plate. At the rear were wider tail light bezels with triple segment lenses. The Z28 performance package was and still is perhaps the most special and iconic of all available on Camaros! It included a solid-lifter 302 V8, 4-Speed Muncie M-21 Manual transmission, power disc brakes, and two wide bold stripes down the hood and decklid. This styling is considered by many Camaro enthusiasts as the ultimate muscle car look and arguably the most desirable. When you lift the functional air breathing hood with reverse cowl scoop it reveals the 302 cubic inch V8 that punches out an “advertised” 290 horses to grip the asphalt. The original numbers matched engine sits in an impressive engine bay that is clean, and well preserved with original factory stickers that truly reflect the factory representation. Power is delivered by the code M21 4-Speed wide ratio transmission with Hurst shifter to the posi-traction rear axle housing a 3.73 ratio. Performance is delivered to the raised white lettered Goodyears mounted on Rallye wheels which adds to the stylish competition look. Inside this cool coupe is black bucket seat interior as noted on the cowl tag, you’ll find one of the most stylish cockpits of the muscle car era that has been painstakingly restored. Full documentation package to be included with the sale of the car including an appraisal and certificate of authenticity. 1960 Chevrolet Impala

1960 Chevrolet Impala

Engine: 283 CID V8
Transmission: 2-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 18,176 ( actual )

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this gorgeous 1960 Chevrolet Impala! This is no ordinary Impala. This is a true survivor car. The 283 CID V8 engine is the original that was put in the car in the factory when it was being put together. Covering only 18,176 miles since it first drove off the showroom floor all those years ago. Amazingly, the paint on this car has the original undercoat on it! Even the original AM radio in the car works as it should. This is part of a two-model-year run for the second generation of the much-loved Impala. The 1959 Chevrolet Impala was redesigned. Sharing bodyshells with lower-end Buicks and Oldsmobiles as well as with Pontiac, part of a GM economy move, the Chevrolet's wheelbase was 1-1/2 inches longer. Using a new X-frame chassis, the roof line was three inches lower, bodies were two inches wider, and curb weight increased. Its tailfins protruded outward, rather than upward. The taillights were a large "teardrop" design at each side, and two slim-wide nonfunctional front air intake scoops were added just above the grille, The Impala became a separate series, adding a four-door hardtop and four-door sedan, to the two-door Sport Coupe and convertible. Sport Coupes featured a shortened roof line and wrap-over back window. Standard were front and rear armrests, an electric clock, dual sliding sun visors, and crank-operated front vent windows. A contoured hooded instrument panel held deep-set gauges. A six-way power seat was a new option, as was "Speed minder", for the driver to set a needle at a specific speed and a buzzer would sound if the pre-set was exceeded. The 1960 Impala models reinstated three round taillights on each side, and a white band running along the rear fenders. Anyone looking at the pictures and video of this beautiful machine can clearly see why it’s a great buy. The design is timeless. Don’t wait until it’s gone to inquire. Don’t miss your chance to get behind the wheel of this one. Contact Gateway Classic Cars in Houston for more information. Financing and shipping options are available. Office hours are Monday through Saturday 9-5pm central time. The telephone number for our showroom is (832) 243-6220 or if you prefer, you can email us at houston@gatewayclassiccars.com.
