Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer this truly one of a kind new (yes, new - read on) 1932 Ford Roadster. This car has a builder VIN, as it was made from the ground up by a team of master builders in Texas. It consists of an all steel body, covered in a unique - as in, "you can't buy it or get it mixed" (unless you buy this car, whereupon its builder will give you the paint recipe), custom-mixed PPG Global Cashmere brown paint, with Biscuit racing stripes and orange pinstriping outlining the racing stripes. It has Rootlib 25 louver side panels which open fully, along with its Rootlib hood, and custom-built rear body corners. Its frame consists of American Stamping frame rails, with a fully-boxed custom built center section chassis that has been stretched 1.5" at the front cross member. The chassis is pinched in the front and lowered one inch, and the frame rails have also been pinched at the rear to fit the two inch spreader bar. Its spreader bars front and rear are 1/4 inch polished stainless. This is a true builder car! However, it's not all show...it has plenty of GO, too! Under the hood is a built GM Performance 300HP V8 Chevy crate motor, complete with a roller camshaft, 4 bolt main block, once piece rear main seal, and Vortec heads. This mighty mouse motor sends its twist out through a TKO 500 Five Speed Transmission, complete with an aluminum bellhousing, McLeod clutch and pressure plate, and McLeod heavy duty hydraulic throwout bearing. Aft of the 5-speed trans is a 2" 4130 Cro-Moly custom built drive shaft that spins its Winters Quick Change polished rear end, with its mini V8 tapered side bells. With only minor effort, it's easy to pull the gear set, reverse it, and reinsert it, and you can switch from it's highway ratio (3.48:1) to its strip ratio (4.11:1) gears. Of course, once you get to triple-digit speed in seconds, you'll want to feel comfortable that you can get back down to school zone speeds just as quickly. This car is made for that, with Wilwood disc brakes all four corners: this beauty has a Wilwood master cylinder providing more than sufficient grunt to its polished multi-piston calipers, which grab the drilled and slotted vented rotors. Up front, you'll find a Posies front spring, Super Bell oval drilled aluminum polished axle, with Bilstein shocks; and out back, are fully adjustable Bilstein coil overs. Keeping this new old rod firmly glued to the pavement are some virtually new Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires, wrapped around some custom Budnik Maroc 3 wheels with satin centers and polished rims: l7xlO rears, l5x6 fronts. Underneath, you'll find a handmade 2.5" stainless exhaust, dumping over the rear axle, and sounding plenty nasty when the tach is winding to redline. Inside, there's a custom Budnik steering wheel sitting atop an Ididit polished steering column. Its '32 dash has a custom-built recessed insert, and is complete with AutoMeter Cruiser AD Series gauges, including a fully-electronic speedo. The passengers can ride in comfort in its dark brown leather and tweed interior, complete with Lebaron Bonney Carpet and floor mats. When you want to go topless (and you will), it has a lift off top. Simply undo a couple of bolts, and lift the 304 stainless frame with its Hartz Stayfast cloth top right off. You're sure to love its custom windshield, with the 3" chop of its polished stainless posts executed flawlessly. Its Hagen Fatty mirrors let you keep track of your blind spots (as if there were any to begin with). With all of this hand-crafting, one might think this was built for show only. However, this is no trailer or show queen: it was driven from Spring, TX to Los Angeles for the 50th Anniversary Roadster Show. It was displayed throughout the show by Alan Budnik Wheels, where it received a TON of attention due to acute precision and unique qualities, one of which was its unique color. As a matter of record, the color of this 1932 Roadster was picked by many top professionals as one of the best-looking color choices ever seen on a 1932. Note from its builder: "As a professional street rod builder, we had two things in mind when we built our '32: First, build a dependable car that can be driven anywhere. Second, prove its reliability by driving it 3600 miles from Texas to the LA Roadster Show. And I must say, she definitely proved to be no "trailer queen"...Driving at 70-80 MPH and averaging 22 MPG of gas, we sailed through the rain, wind, heat, and cold...and let's not forget the pounding sands of the Mojave. In conclusion: Our final goal was to offer the car to someone who would appreciate the craftsmanship and the quality of a "hand-built" car. This 1927 Ford Roadster is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. This one off custom built roadster is a fire breathing asphalt shredding piece of art. The poliform 27 Ford body has had support pieces of metal throughout for a better fit and durability. The Aluminum hood was hand built with the vents in the side being precision cut and man does it look good. The steel running boards are sturdy enough to step on but why take a chance of messing up that beautiful paint. Sitting on a TCI engineering tube chassis the car is about as custom as they get. The narrowed 9 inch has a set of summer brothers axles and a 3.50:1 gear perfect for all around cruising. The JFZ disc brake setup on all 4 corners brings this monster to a crawl quickly. The paint on the 27 looks like glass with multiple coats of clear applied it almost like looking in a mirror. The red hand striped flames help to add some old school flavor and are almost a requirement on any hotrod with a blower sticking through the hood. That 6-71 Hampton Blower and manifold sits on top of the 355 small block that has been filled with forged parts. The Chet Herbert custom cam was made just for this beast with the gear drive being essential on an engine setup like this. The TH400 transmission handles the power nicely with them manual valve body allowing for crisp shifts when you feel necessary. An aluminum radiator and electric fan have been paired together to keep this 355 V8 cool and comfortable on those hot summer nights. A TH-350 automatic transmission transfers the power to the 10-bolt rear end, and massive radial tires put to the power to the pavement. Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this beautiful and totally one of a kind, hand built 1932 Ford Roadster. Professionally appraised at over $120,000, this gorgeous build is jaw dropping from top to bottom, front to back. Powering this masterpiece is a 1 of 7 pre-production, 525hp, 392 CID V8 Hemi from Mopar Performance. Featuring forged pistons and rods, 278/285 hydraulic roller cam and CNC ported aluminum twin plug heads. It has EFI, 80mm throttle body, custom Detroit Muscle headers and a stainless Flowmaster exhaust/muffler system. Transferring this power to the rear wheels is a Chrysler 518 transmission built by Godfather Racing and a custom Detroit Muscle driveshaft. This is an all steel roadster from Hot Rods & Horsepower in MI (Dearborn Duce). You will notice the steel hood, ’32 Grille and stowaway convertible top. The bodywork and DuPont Hot Rod Black paint was completed by Shadowoods in MI and graphics done by Dennis Shephard. Gauges were done by SO-CAL Speed Shop in Pomona and Moon Equipment in Santa Fe Springs. Seats were done by Roadster Shop in IL and Willy’s Workshop completed the upholstery. It is finished in Pendleton Del Rio wool Indian blanket, python skin & camel wool highlights. The carpet is also wool. This was the Detroit Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau “Flagship Promotional Vehicle” commissioned to showcase Detroit’s automotive heritage. Designed by Chris Baum, the D-Rod, was built by Rick Dyer at Detroit Muscle with input from Ford, Chrysler and GM Executives. Chrysler provided a pre-production 392 CID V8, 525hp Hemi crate engine that was first shown at SEMA. Chrysler had Arrow Racing Engines release one of the first hand-built development engines for the D-Rod build. The transmission is a 4-speed Chrysler 518 automatic. The build also used a vast ’32 Roadster aftermarket to create a high-performance vehicle that is truly a unique ’32 Ford Roadster. Dearborn Duce proved an all-steel ’32 body with a disappearing top assembly. The frame is a Lobeck’s Deuce frame equipped with a 9-inch ford rear end, a Magnum 4-inch dropped tube axle, bobbed rear rails and four-wheel Wilwood disc brakes. The interior includes an Ididit steering column and steering wheel. The D-Rod was built in 2007 and not only showcases the Detroit Automotive Heritage, it is a build that brings together the best of the hot-rod industry. Power comes from the sought after and reliable GM crate ZZ4 350 HP small block 350 with aluminum cylinder heads. Adding some flare to the exposed engine bay is a Cadillac air cleaner and a chrome alternator. Power is sent through a TH 350 automatic and back to a Ford 9 inch rear end housing a set of highway gears. The 2.55:1 rear gears are also Powertrax no slip allowing you to really put the power to the ground. When driving this beautiful Roadster, you may notice a matching trailer in your rear view mirror. That’s right a matching trailer comes with the sale and is perfect for hauling items to the local cruise in or car show. The fiberglass body has a complete molded floor pan and is attached to a custom frame. The windshield is a Duvall type and has a very unique look to it. The chassis is fitted with a Heidts independent front end with coil over shocks, tubular A arms. The rear has a four link also with coil over shocks. We are happy to offer at our Saint Louis Gateway Classic Cars Showroom this triple red 1932 Ford Roadster. The red Wescott body was completely stripped down and repainted in 2004. The underside of the rear quarter panels were Rhino lined to protect the body while driving down the road. Custom pin-stripping runs throughout the car, along the side, on the trunk lid, and on the dash to help make it stand out amongst the crowd. The red vinyl interior was also replaced in the mid 2000’s and shows very well, with minimal signs of wear. Capping off the red on red on red appearance is the red cloth top that is in very good condition. A Hagan steel hood covers the 302 CID V8 that powers this 32’ Ford down the road. The 302 V8 features a full roller block, E-303 cam, Edelbrock aluminum heads, aluminum valve covers, and a Holley carburetor. Headers flow to the true dual exhaust that dump out the side in front of the rear tires and provide a great sound. An automatic transmission with overdrive and a shift kit transfers the power to the Ford 9” that houses 3.55 gears. The Wescott body sits on a TCI boxed frame. A 2” dropped chrome axle and rack and pinion steering is up front while a 4-link suspension setup is out back. In the trunk you will find the Pioneer AM/FM radio with CD player, which you can control from the driver’s seat via remote control. The odometer reads 22,602, the actual mileage is unknown, and just 2,000 miles have been put on the car in the last 14 years. This 1933 Factory Five was built by a race enthusiast and both true craftmanship and top of the line parts were commissioned on this vehicle. Powered by a new hand built terminator 4.6L supercharged 32 valve Cobra SSVT V-8 crate motor pushing roughly an owner stated 400 Horsepower and 400 Ft-lbs of torque. Matted to a T-56 6-Speed manual transmission and 4.11 rear end gears, this 33 Factory Five has canon like acceleration. Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this excellent 1968 Ford Mustang GT. The first-generation Ford Mustang was manufactured by Ford from March 1964 until 1973. The introduction of the Mustang created a new class of automobile known as the pony car. The Mustang’s styling, with its long hood and short deck, proved wildly popular and inspired a host of competition. It was initially introduced on April 17, 1964, as a hardtop and convertible with the fastback version put on sale in August 1964. At the time of its introduction, the Mustang, sharing its underpinnings with the Falcon, was slotted into a compact car segment. With each revision, the Mustang saw an increase in overall dimensions and in engine power. The 1971 model saw a drastic redesign to its predecessors. After an initial surge, sales were steadily declining, as Ford began working on a new generation Mustang. With the onset of the 1973 oil crisis, Ford was prepared, having already designed the smaller Mustang II for the 1974 model year. This new car had no common components with preceding models. This car has recently finished its restoration with only 185 miles since being a finished project. The car originally came from California and is an actual GT from the factory. It has been repainted to the Highland Green with a stylish black stripe painted on the hood. This car has had the original set up and 302 replaced with a 428, 4 speed manual, Ford 9” rear end, and has a 3.73 gearing. The Ram Air hood is functional and adds an aggressive stylish look to this 1st generation Mustang GT. This GT has many upgrades including a digital dash, custom wheels, and even comes with a Marti Report. The suspension has been lowered with Shelby suspension for a more aggressive look.
