Powered by the numbers matching 221 CID flathead V8, this classic Ford has just 78,784 original miles; talk about a time machine. Let's get back to that lovely flathead V8 engine. The engine was professionally rebuilt, blueprinted & balanced. We beg you to watch the video and listen to it purr. Dual Stromberg carburetors feed the mechanical masterpiece. Sanderson exhaust headers allow the engine to breathe out freely through dual pipes creating a symphony of sound. It also features (2) high flow electric water pumps, a high flow electric fuel pump, 2 electric cooling fans on the upgraded radiator, a 12-volt power alternator. The great sounding and smooth-running flathead is backed by a 3-speed manual transmission that shifts smoothly through the gears & has a new clutch installed.
This Frame-Off Restoration shows very well and is ready for its next adventure. It's hard to fathom all the things this vintage automobile has seen. This 37’ Pheaton is powered by a Flathead V8 engine, which is believed to be original to the car, as is the 3 speed manual transmission that transfers the power to the pavement. This 37’ Ford Pheaton is finished in a dark blue exterior paint. The saddle brown leather interior creates a wonderful color combination against the dark blue paint and light brown cloth convertible top. The odometer reads 17,947, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1937 Ford Pheaton include: AM Radio (inoperable), Manual Convertible Top, Leather Interior, Hub Caps, and Wide White Wall Radial Tires. The Phaeton body style differs from a convertible in that it does not have a winding or sliding windows in the doors nor does it have a permanent, fixed roof. It’s not everyday that Gateway Classic Cars is given the pleasure to offer a vehicle that was built, documented, and owned by the same individual. What you see here is fantastic mix of 50’s east coast, patina rod, and rat rod stylings that took over 3 years to complete. This 1936 Ford Pickup is the final build of a man’s 45 year legacy of constructing custom rods. The build began with a fully customized frame. The rear is “Z’ed” approximately 10” to make way for a truly sinister stance. Unlike other rat rods, the ’36 Ford truck cab was lovingly restored, channeled 4”, and all cancerous rust was removed and replaced with new metal before being finished in Flat Black. The powertrain boasts an ever-popular and rebuilt/resealed 300 hp Chevy 350 small block pushing 9:1 compression which calls for 87 octane fuel. Lake-style headers provide the driver with an aggressive exhaust note. Behind the mildly-cammed Chevy 350 sits a TH350 3 speed automatic transmission with shift kit, custom driveshaft, and Ford 9” posi rear end with coilovers. The front suspension has been donned with manual rack and pinion steering, period-correct drop axle, and leaf spring. Manual disc brakes from an Impala with new stainless steel lines are utilized up front, while the rear is capped with drums. All gauges are in working order. The 14 gallon fuel cell will provide this build with a longer journey capacity than most custom rods. The car is correctly titled as a 1936 Ford, which can sometimes prove difficult depending on which state you seek approval, and the VIN is stamped both in the frame and firewall. Simply put, you can NOT put a custom rod like this together for even twice the modest sticker price. This ’36 Ford would be a fantastic initiation for anyone interested in entering the world of custom rodding, and all of the difficult work has been performed by a veteran and professional of the automotive business. For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1936 Ford Tudor. This beautiful street rod has covered a modest 1,600 miles since its full frame off restoration last year. The restoration started as well as anyone can ask for, a rust free body. The only non original metal on the build are the fiberglass running boards. The rest of the car is original steel. Prior to the restoration, the car had been stored in a garage since 1946 with an original 27,000 miles! Even though the car was very solid, the restorer decided to upgrade the chassis to a Pete and Jake frame. This is a great upgrade to handle the added power coming from the Vortec 350 V8. Other upgrades and street rod themed parts include power four wheel disc brakes, Vintage Air A/C system, new front and rear suspension, 8.8 rear end with 3.73 gears, 700 R4 overdrive automatic transmission, tilt steering column, digital gauges, all new glass, new top, Walker radiator, new high end interior by Sew Fine Interiors of St. Louis and of course wheels and tires. Now for sale in Gateway Classic Cars Houston is this awesome 1936 Ford Special Deluxe. Finished in Green with a Gray interior, this vintage classic really looks the part. It is powered by a 1942 85hp 221 CID Ford V8 mated to a 2-speed transmission with reverse. The vehicle shows 2725 miles on the odometer, but it is unknown if this is actual or not. Chevrolet regained the sales lead at the end of 1936, but the Ford still sold extremely well. A new club cabriolet model was introduced with a fully framed windshield and weatherproof top, and the convertible sedan gained the popular integrated trunk back design. The look was updated with an inverted pentagonal grille with all-vertical bars beneath a prominent hood and three horizontal chrome side strips (on Deluxe models). A concealed horn, long a prominent part of the Ford's design, also brought the car into modern times. The new trucks continued with the old grille. Other major changes for 1936 were the use of pressed steel "artillery" solid wheels instead of wire wheels. This car has been modernized and features conveniences like air conditioning, heating, AM/FM radio, spare tire, jack, functioning brake lights, working horn and a kill switch to preserve battery for times when the car may be sitting. For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is an amazing 1937 Ford Roadster. Every item on this build was carefully planned out with purpose. Vibration cushions between the frame and body were installed to minimize vibration and noise and eliminated the need for a drive shaft tunnel. By eliminated the tunnel a lower seat height was achieved, which creates greater visibility for the driver and passenger through the windshield. Both the passenger compartment and trunk floors have been covered in Dynamat to reduce heat and reduce road noise. The powerplant comes from a 2009 5.3L Chevrolet LS V8 with an LS2 intake that has approximately 18,000 miles on it. The LS engine is mated to a 4L60E automatic transmission, which transfers the power to the Ford 8.8” rear end that houses 3.27 gears. This powertrain combination creates an excellent driving experience in any environment, while being incredibly reliable, and produces plenty of power to have fun with. An all new Mustang II front suspension setup is in place with powder coated upper and lower tubular control arms, new spindles, and power rack and pinion steering. The rear suspension features a triangulated 4-bar setup with TCI coil over shocks and springs. Power disc brakes adorn all four corners, providing maximum stopping power when needed. The gloss black exterior paint is a GM color by Dupont and looks fantastic. The light gold vinyl interior has a sleek and sophisticated appearance. The dash also features the vinyl upholstery and easy to read gauges in front of the steering wheel creating an uncluttered look. The odometer reads 312, which represents the mileage put on the car since the build was complete. This 1936 Ford 5 Window is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 36 Ford was an instant success for the Ford Motor Company with over 800k units sold that year. Still considered by many the best looking front end on any Ford they are a natural fit for a Street rod Build. This beauty has kept its natural lines and appears to be real Henry Ford Steel. One thing is certain the all metal body has slick burgundy paint, accented with some one of a kind hand pinstriping something that is hard to find in today’s world. Open the rear lid and you will be surprised to see not a trunk but a rumble seat allowing for a couple more passengers. The interior of the car was recently done in the 2-tone vinyl you see know which compliments the outside nicely. With the windshield still having the ability to roll out allowing for a great breeze when cruising. Even the pinstriping has been carried in to the inside with a nice design on the glove box which actually conceals the CD player. The bucket seats are comfortable while giving it that custom look. Under the hood is the go to price for any Street rodder, the small block 350 has plenty of power, durability and parts can be found pretty much anywhere. The billet dress up kit looks great and does not require the polishing of chrome. The TH350 transmission shifts out nicely with firm yet positive upshifts. The 10-bolt rear end has a set of highway gears that allow for a decent RPM when going down the road. Now available in our DFW-Showroom is this stunning 1963 Ford Fairlane. The Ford Fairlane is an automobile model that was sold between 1955 and 1970 by Ford in North America. The name is derived from Henry Ford's estate, Fair Lane, near Dearborn, Michigan. This 1963 Ford Fairlane wagon has been a drag racer in the Pacific Northwest for many years. We have seen many Thunderbolt clones, but never one based on a wagon, and this one is even better because it has real history. It has a modernized engine, yet the exterior retains older paint and graphics. Fantastic! The car sits right and the staggered steel wheels with long Moroso studs, which cannot be beat. The rear suspension and wide 11.5? Mickeys are nicely tucked underneath and don’t really hint at their increased capability. The red interior offers a nice contrast and doesn’t dig the Sun sweep tachometer on the dash and the roll-bar that extends back into the cargo area. The stock bench and steering wheel look great! The engine is the best part of the car and sets it apart from the small blocks we typically seen in wannabe T-bolts and Fairlane drivers. It combines a 390 block with a 428 SCJ crank to displace 423 cubic inches. It apparently wears twin 600 CFM carbs under a proper looking airbox and T-bolt headlight duct system. The transmission is a built C6. If you’re ready to stand out in a crowd or simply haul “butt” away from them, this is the vehicle for you! Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this custom painted 1999 Ford Mustang Cobra convertible. This sharp Cobra started its life in Florida and has spent most of its time here out of the cold elements. Code-named "Terminator" by the SVT development crew led by John Coletti, numerous improvements were made to the powertrain and driveline to handle the power increase from the previous model's set-up. A cast-iron block was used, with stronger internals including forged Zolner pistons and Manley H-beam connecting rods that were modified with a wrist pin oiling hole by the SVT engineers. These upgrades were critical in order to support the 8 psi (0.55 bar) of boost delivered from the stock Eaton M-112 roots-type supercharger. Other improvements included the use of a lightweight aluminum flywheel connected to a Tremec T-56 six-speed transmission, 3.55:1 rear axle ratio, and stronger 31-spline halfshafts with revised upper and lower control arms. This white with white ghost flame custom painted Cobra has a clean history report and only about 81k actual miles. The white and tan look at been popular for years and will continue to be a sleek look on any muscle car. Options on this Cobra include; A/C, AM/FM radio, Cd Player, Automatic Convertible top, power seats and windows, power brakes and steering, power locks and mirrors, traction control, leather interior, and so much more. With just under 2,700 miles on a fresh rebuild this tastefully modified 1965 Mustang is ready to hit the road and cruise! Setting this Mustang apart from rest of the crowd is a custom Shelby style front end and hood, American Racing Torque Thrust wheels, and lowered stance that really set off the performance feel. Giving it the lowered stance and helping it to out corner its stock counterpart is a set of TCP adjustable coil overs upfront and newer lower leaf springs in the rear. Also helping it to corner is the Flaming River power rack and pinion cradle that was a huge improvement from the factory equipment. The remanufactured 302 cubic inch V8 sitting under the hood has been tuned up to give it that extra power it needed. Modifications include the Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and 4-barrell carburetor, a mild cam giving it a healthy choppy idle, and a set of Hedman long-tube headers flowing through a full Flowmaster exhaust system. Backing up that small block Ford engine is a built up C4 automatic transmission that shifts crisply between gears. Helping to add to the reliability of this Mustang, it was completely rewired using an American Autowire Mustang harness and an aluminum radiator was installed along with an electric fan to keep it cool. This Mustang has been well sorted out and has a great deal of classy touches throughout.
