Since this very original 1969 280SL rolled off the showroom floor it has been garage kept and well cared for by the same family! With just under 75,000 on the original engine and around 2,000 miles on the transmission that was replaced in the mid 90’s, this stunning example of a 280SL is still plenty road worthy and is a joy to drive. As you sit behind the wheel, you will be treated to a finely crafted and designed dash and gauge cluster that you’d expect in a car with the name plate Mercedes-Benz. The 2.8L I6 under the hood provides ample amounts of power for this light weight roadster to get moving in a hurry and the 4-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly between gears. The ride quality is smooth yet firm and handles corners very well. This car is a great option for someone looking for an original 280SL that hasn’t been tampered with and intends to enjoy it on nice sunny days. This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to offer this survivor 1959 Mercedes Benz 180 four door sedan. The 180 series were the bread-and-butter cars for Mercedes. It's believed that the car has been painted, but the interior looks original. There is some surface rust underneath, but it doesn't look like there's any rust-through. The car runs and drives well, with the four cylinder engine and the manual transmission giving its new owner decent performance and great gas mileage. If you like survivors, this 180 could be your next car. Although many were produced for nearly a decade, MB had a limited number of dealers in the US at the time this car was built. Consequently, very few were exported. Owning a car like this will get you a lot of attention and you probably won't see another one, unless you go to a Mercedes-specific event. To see 100-plus pictures and a video of this 1959 Mercedes-Benz 180 sedan, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. If you’re looking to get into a great starter Mercedes, look no further! Gateway Classic Cars of Milwaukee is now offering this 1984 Mercedes Benz 300SD. This diesel-powered Mercedes is equipped with Air Conditioning, Heated Seats, Power Sunroof, Power Windows, Automatic Transmission and Cruise Control. You’ll also love the leather seats with lumbar support. Although the first W116 S-Class in the 1970s established Mercedes-Benz as a global leader in safety engineering and technical prowess for sedans, it was the next W126 S-Class, beginning in 1979, that saw this model become a top-tier luxury good, a true flagship, and a lasting symbol of affluence throughout the 1980s. The smoothed-over styling of the W126 S-Class signaled a newfound focus on aerodynamics and fuel-efficiency. With a coefficient of drag 14 percent better than the previous model and curb weights starting around 3,600 pounds, this generation of S-Class was quite efficient for its time in its six-cylinder and diesel forms when compared to that era’s large American sedans. Safety and occupant protection were also unparalleled, with a driver airbag offered through most of the model run. Traction control was also introduced, as were seat-belt pretensioners. This Mercedes Benz 300SD is for sale in our Milwaukee Showroom and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com; call (262) 891-4253 or email us at email@example.com for additional information.
