1968 Volkswagen Beetle

Engine: 1600 CC Flat 4cyl
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 3500 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this cool 1968 Volkswagen Beetle. Many will say the Bug is responsible for what we know as the interstate highway system that we have today. In the early 30’s a crazy man in Germany wanted to make a “high-speed” system of roads to move people and product through his country. Little did we know at the time this man would become to known as the Furor and the real reason for these roads was to move troops quickly. I think we know how that worked out for him, not very well. Unlike Adolf the Bug would live on for many decades to come and much like him have a colt following that lives on today. This 1968 Beetle, Bug, or people mover is a notable example of why people fell in love with these little, almost indestructible cars. Sporting its flashy red paint and accented with those classic chrome bumpers it gets as many looks as cars twice its price. The roof rack with its stained wood gives it an original classic look. The matching deck lid rack only adds to the appeal. Under that deck lid a brand new, not rebuilt, 1600CC engine is tucked away making this a great candidate for your teen’s first car. Open the doors and you will notice the classic interior is in very good condition. Yet still the part that gets me is this car is a radio delete car. If you go underneath the car you will notice that the floorboards are spotless. Unlike many VW’s that have anything from house siding to stop signs these floorboards are original to the car. The original owner’s manual and toolkit are in the trunk something else you rarely see with one of these beauties. If you have been thinking about getting a great classic car that will always be in style or classic that is a blast to drive but doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to do so this little piece of history will be a perfect fit. Options on this 1968 Volkswagen Beetle include; Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, Hubcaps, and Radial Tires. This 1968 Volkswagen Bug is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For additional information please call our knowledgeable staff at (812)294-1555 or email us at Louisville@GatewayClassicCars.com. 1964 Volkswagen Beetle

Engine: 4 Cylinder OHV
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 7758 ( undocumented )

Thank you for your interest in this sharp looking 1964 Volkswagen Beetle located at our Tampa location. This imported baby blue Beetle has been restored and is ready to tackle the streets. This might be the most stylish Beetle that Gateway Classic Cars has ever had the honor of listing for sale. The 1600cc engine and 4 speed manual transmission combination has been used for many years in the Beetles and there is a reason why, this car is still to this day running and driving strong. This car was imported from Spain about 2 years ago and has been repainted to a unique baby blue that turns heads everywhere it goes. Although the paint was freshly done, all the panels are still original. The real style comes from the chrome wheels and lowered suspension. The interior is wrapped in beige cloth that flows with the exterior paint for the overall desired look. This Beetle does have many features that include A/C, AM/FM radio, seat belts, and cloth interior. 1964 models could be identified by a widened light housing on the engine lid over the rear license plate, however the standard model continued to use the old teardrop style to the end of the 1965 model run. The VW Beetle has been very successful from the beginning of its existence. Perfect for any collection, this little blue Beetle is sure to sell fast. 1955 Volkswagen Beetle

Engine: 4 Cylinder OHV
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 6991 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 1955 Volkswagen Beetle. Volkswagen Beetle’s are one of the most recognized cars in the world, and this 1955 VW Beetle will be recognized more than most. When purchasing a classic car, it always helps when the vehicle has had a long-term owner. History is everything when it comes to dealing with these cars. This “Bug” was a one owner vehicle for 30 years, which means it comes with extensive knowledge. In 2014, it was fully restored with the original body being placed on a 1975 pan. The car shows no rust, which Volkswagens were notorious for. Along with the new restoration, Teal paint was applied. Inside you’ll find newer grey cloth interior accented by green LED interior lights. This isn’t your typical ‘55 VW Beetle “Oval.” Roll the windows down, crank up the sound system, and you can be the life of the party. The system omits a booming 600 watts that will make the average “Shore Blvd” seem like the happening spot. If it gets too hot, turn on the frigid A/C and cool off. When it comes to customizing a vehicle, stance places a big role. What type of persona do you want the car to present? Judging by the stance put forth by the IRS suspension, this car oozes coolness. This car will not only be a local legend, it already has appeared in several magazine articles. With only 20,000 miles since being restored 5 years ago, there is a long life ahead of this car. You can jump on the highway and take a cross country trip in this car, especially with the highway gears it has in it which came out of a Super Beetle. Don’t worry about stopping either. This 55 Beetle is sporting disc brakes all the way around. Options include A/C, AM/FM CD Radio, Power Windows, Seat Belts, 17’’ Aluminum/Alloy Wheels, and Spare Tire. This 1955 Volkswagen Beetle is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information, please call our knowledgeable staff at (813)645-6200 or email us at Tampa@GatewayClassicCars.com.
