Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this sweet 1947 Ford Coupe. This very nice custom coupe has a very dark secret… In that someone put a 6.2L LS3 corvette engine in it… LS swaps are becoming the new normal in classic cars for many reasons but mostly because the reliability and performance of the LS series engines are second to none. The LS motor in this car has been through a very recent rebuild with less than 800 miles logged onto it since. The engine & 5-speed manual transmission was professionally installed the correct way with all accessories in the right places.

The car is shown in a very nice & clean slate grey PPG base/clear paint finish that shows very well with no dings or dents to be found. The chrome trim & bumpers are in like new condition as well as the grills & glass. The car went through a full restoration and rebuild from 2009-2011 and has been kept indoors since never meeting a drop of rain. The paint finish is of high quality and very well done.

The all new grey interior is in brand new condition. From the comfortable power seats, custom gauges in the dash, power windows, & vintage AC controls, this car is ready for the road. The fit & finish is done to a high degree on this car and it shows that care, money, and a lot of time went into this build. This does not need a single thing to start being enjoyed by its new owner. It could easily be used as a daily driver and probably could make it from coast to coast. The truck is also custom finished with the battery being relocated to it.

Besides the modern drive train the car has also has its suspension upgraded and rebuilt, new bushings all the way around, disc brake upgrade on the front while drum in the rear. A new R134a AC system was installed and works very well.

Options on this car include; AC (blows cold), power brakes, power steering, CD player, power windows, power seats, power locks, leather interior, & more! 1948 Ford Pickup

1948 Ford Pickup

Engine: 307 CID V8
Transmission: TH350
Mileage: 1,500 ( since rebuilt )

This 1948 Ford pickup is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. Rat Rods have been around since the early 70’s but have recently gone mainstream. With there over the top I don’t care what you think style they usually get more attention than a custom show car. This 48 Ford truck was built to drive and get a bunch thumbs up as you go down the road. The body of the truck is in great shape with the satin green really getting people to look twice. With the front grill coming from a 450 Case dozer you can be certain you won’t have to worry about pulling up to another one at the stoplight. The front end has been painted bright red a great accent against that flat green. The flaming river steering box allows for a better feel of the road making the steering more precise. The speedway front calipers work great stopping this ole truck faster than anything in 1948. Under the take-off hood is a rebuilt Chevy 307 that powers this rod down the road just fine. The huge aluminum radiator keeps that small block nice and cool with the electric fan being more of a just in case thing. The huge headers with the collectors coming out each side puts an exclamation point on this radical Rat. Matched up to a rebuilt TH350 that shifts out just as you would expect. The 10-bolt rear end handles the power nicely turning the big back tires with ease. The extremely cool looking aluminum gas tank mounted in the back is classic 60’s era styling. Look inside and a red vinyl bench seat really ties everything together. If you have been wanting to get your hands on a cool ratrod but don’t have the time to build one, this 48 is ready to go. Options on this 1948 Ford Truck include, Custom Wheels with Hubcaps, Vinyl Interior, and Radial Tires. To view this 1948 Ford Truck, including an HD video, at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1950 Ford Woody

1950 Ford Woody

Engine: 351 Windsor V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 80,875 ( undocumented )

A great deal of time, money, and effort has gone into making this old Ford Woody the perfect cruiser! After the second (current) owner purchased the car back in February of 1988 it was driven for a few years before it underwent a restoration of the wood panels on the car in 1994. Taking over a year to complete by a professional, the woodwork has held up nicely and, to this day it still looks great! Under the hood sits a 351 cubic inch Windsor V8 with only 2,500 miles put on since the professional rebuild by a reputable racing shop. The front suspension was replaced with Mustang II components providing a much nicer ride and premium control. As you slide into the interior that was reupholstered back in 2005, you will feel as if you were transported to a different era. A time in history where it was deemed “okay” to make most of the panels out of wood! Fire up that big V8, drop the transmission into drive, and start to cruise! You can almost hear the “Endless Summer” album by The Beach Boys, playing from the aftermarket stereo. The ride quality is very comfortable and feels safe even at higher speeds. The rack and pinion steering is smooth and much more precise than stock, and the disc brakes will stop you quickly. Everywhere you go, this old Ford is sure to turn heads and be a crowd pleaser! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1950 Ford Woody in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. 1950 Ford F1

Engine: 350 V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 367 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is this super nice 1950 Ford F1. Ford introduced the F1 series in 1948 and build it until 1952. Today they are highly sought after all over the world. We have had many F1 trucks here in our South Florida showroom and this Ford is one of the nicest we have seen here. The truck is painted a beautiful Toreador Red that looks great in combination with the front and rear chrome bumper. The bed received new wood paneling and looks as good as the rest of the truck. Open the door and hood and you will see a very clean interior and engine compartment. The black bench seat will invite you to hop in and feel comfortable. You will not get any surprises when you peak underneath the truck. Everything looks solid and good. The F1 is powered by a strong rebuilt 350ci V8 engine. It is just a pleasure to jump in the truck and turn the key. The automatic Turbo 350 transmission shifts through all gears with ease. The truck runs and drives nicely down the road. The power is brought to the street by its 9-inch Ford rear end. Everything feels right about this 1950 Ford F1. One great option is the ice-cold A/C. No need to sweat while you are taking this pickup truck out for a drive. During the restoration the inner cab was completely isolated with dynamat sound deadener. A lot of money went into the truck. We are happy to offer this vintage truck for sale. The truck is also equipped with Viper Alarm, Power Brakes, Jack, Spare Tire, AM/FM Radio, Seat Belts, Radial Tires and a lot of fun. This one won’t last long. All it needs is a new owner who will continue the good care of this F1. Let it ride!!! 1965 Ford Mustang

Engine: 302 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 2,694 ( since rebuilt )

With just under 2,700 miles on a fresh rebuild this tastefully modified 1965 Mustang is ready to hit the road and cruise! Setting this Mustang apart from rest of the crowd is a custom Shelby style front end and hood, American Racing Torque Thrust wheels, and lowered stance that really set off the performance feel. Giving it the lowered stance and helping it to out corner its stock counterpart is a set of TCP adjustable coil overs upfront and newer lower leaf springs in the rear. Also helping it to corner is the Flaming River power rack and pinion cradle that was a huge improvement from the factory equipment. The remanufactured 302 cubic inch V8 sitting under the hood has been tuned up to give it that extra power it needed. Modifications include the Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and 4-barrell carburetor, a mild cam giving it a healthy choppy idle, and a set of Hedman long-tube headers flowing through a full Flowmaster exhaust system. Backing up that small block Ford engine is a built up C4 automatic transmission that shifts crisply between gears. Helping to add to the reliability of this Mustang, it was completely rewired using an American Autowire Mustang harness and an aluminum radiator was installed along with an electric fan to keep it cool. This Mustang has been well sorted out and has a great deal of classy touches throughout. If you are looking for a turn key classic Mustang that can be shown and still driven without worry this is an excellent choice! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom.
