This absolutely gorgeous custom built 1937 Ford Cabriolet street rod is proudly on display and for sale in our Louisville Showroom. Fresh off the ISCA show circuit this award winning ’37 Ford Cabriolet is simply drop dead gorgeous. Starting with a fresh fiberglass body from Wild Rod, which many consider to be one best fiberglass body’s produced; subtle changes were made before any color was ever applied. After all, to stand out, you gotta have subtle yet tasteful changes. A set of Prowler headlights in the front with tear drop tail lights and a 3rd brake light cut into the trunk lid have been added. The gorgeous two paint scheme is a color combination of Raisin Cane and Champagne Fizz. For the less initiated we’ll just call it Tan & Brown. To break the colors up and give it that little pizazz is a gold leaf stripe. Finishing off the look is a set of Chrome Ridler wheels. The fronts are 17 inch wheels wrapped in 225/45/17 BF Goodrich radials and the rears are 20 inch wheels wrapped in 295/45/20 BF Goodrich radials. Under the hood, the GM ZZ4 350 Crate just oozes with chrome. The potent small block Chevy has been mated with a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission for reliability and cruising efficiency. A Ford 9 inch rear end loaded with 3.52 gears gives this hot rod quick launches with bullet proof reliability. Inside this show winning Cabriolet, the interior is adorned with tan leather on the seats and door panels. The remainder of the interior is painted in the same color as the top of the Cabriolet. A full set of Autometer gauges keeps track of the important thing like, MHP, Engine RPM, and Oil pressure, Water Temperature, Fuel Level and Voltage. You will not only look cool when cruising the Street Rod Nationals in your new whip, but you will stay cool too, due to the Vintage AC system. Just hit the buttons on your power windows, crank up the AC and listen to your favorite tunes on the stereo. Personally, “Thunder” by AC/DC always soothes my nerves and gets me in the right mood. If you’re ready to step up to an award winning show car, then give us a call. All the blood, sweat and beers have already been poured into this one! Options for this 1937 Ford Cabriolet Street include; Air Conditioning, AM/FM stereo with CD player and pop up screen, Lift off convertible Hard Top, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Windows, Power Trunk Lid, Tilt Steering Wheel, Keyless Entry, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, and Radial Tire with chrome Ridler Wheels. 1936 Ford Phaeton

1936 Ford Phaeton

Engine: 239 CID Flathead 8
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 4,600 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars is excited to offer this excellent 1936 Ford Pheaton. By the mid-1930s, fully open cars, the roadsters and phaetons, were losing out to convertible coupes and convertible sedans with roll-up side windows. Some manufactures, like General Motors, cut back on open styles altogether. Ford, however, kept a full line in production into the late 1930s. Even though the 1935 Ford Convertible Sedan had proved popular and the ’36 model even more so, leading to a mid-year version with enclosed luggage compartment, phaetons continued to do well, nearly matching the convertible sedans in popularity. This car has a newer restoration and is presented in Washington Blue and Tan LeBaron Bonney interior. This attractive body type combined modern (for the period) styling and V-8 performance. The engine is a 239-cid flathead V-8 (4600 miles since rebuilt) that is matched to a three-speed manual transmission. The phaeton has long, trim lines and seats six adults comfortably. Options include LeBaron Bonny interior, greyhound hood ornament, spare tire, hub caps, seat belts, vinyl interior, kill switch, wide white walls, and bias ply tires. Ford V-8s of the 1930s have been perennial favorites. This car demonstrates why this is so. 1936 Ford V-8 Deluxe Phaeton This 1936 Ford V-8 Phaeton is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. 1936 Ford 5 Window Coupe

1936 Ford 5 Window Coupe

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: Turbo 350
Mileage: 34,796 ( undocumented )

This 1936 Ford 5 Window is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 36 Ford was an instant success for the Ford Motor Company with over 800k units sold that year. Still considered by many the best looking front end on any Ford they are a natural fit for a Street rod Build. This beauty has kept its natural lines and appears to be real Henry Ford Steel. One thing is certain the all metal body has slick burgundy paint, accented with some one of a kind hand pinstriping something that is hard to find in today’s world. Open the rear lid and you will be surprised to see not a trunk but a rumble seat allowing for a couple more passengers. The interior of the car was recently done in the 2-tone vinyl you see know which compliments the outside nicely. With the windshield still having the ability to roll out allowing for a great breeze when cruising. Even the pinstriping has been carried in to the inside with a nice design on the glove box which actually conceals the CD player. The bucket seats are comfortable while giving it that custom look. Under the hood is the go to price for any Street rodder, the small block 350 has plenty of power, durability and parts can be found pretty much anywhere. The billet dress up kit looks great and does not require the polishing of chrome. The TH350 transmission shifts out nicely with firm yet positive upshifts. The 10-bolt rear end has a set of highway gears that allow for a decent RPM when going down the road. If you have been wanting a clean real deal all steel Street rod that loves to be driven down the road this 36 5 Window should be at the top of that list. Options of this 1936 Ford 5 window include; AM/FM/CD, Vinyl Interior, Tilt Wheel, and Alloy Wheels with Radial Tires. 1938 Ford Deluxe

1938 Ford Deluxe

Engine: V8 221 CID
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 94,439 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Nashville show room is this very original 1938 Ford DeLuxe four door convertible! While the vast majority of automobiles built in the U.S. in the late 1930s had closed bodies, open cars still carried an aura of luxury and exclusivity. Even Ford, which perfected mass production, introduced a new open car that combined the best features of a closed body, a cabriolet, and a four-door sedan into one single design. Offered only in DeLuxe trim, the distinctive Convertible Sedan drew many prospective buyers into Ford showrooms. This example came from a car museum in the Southeast and left the factory with nearly every one of the 20+ factory options for the year and model. These included deluxe hubcaps, deluxe wheels, cigarette lighter, side mirrors, dash clock, bumper guards, glove box, and many more! This car came with an 85 bhp, 221 cu. in. V-8 engine with a two-barrel Stromberg carburetor, three-speed manual transmission, solid front axle with transverse leaf spring, semi-floating rear axle with transverse leaf spring , and four-wheel mechanical drum brakes. The car has been outfitted with a few newer parts to improve drivability and safety. The upgrades include a new griffin radiator to handle the rigors of modern driving, new distributor and coil, new battery, and an alternator conversion. These upgrades were done to convert the car from six to twelve volt for convince and safety. If you are looking for a great example of a survivor pre-war touring car, this is the one! Chevrolet regained the sales lead at the end of 1936, but the Ford still sold extremely well. A new club cabriolet model was introduced with a fully framed windshield and weatherproof top, and the convertible sedan gained the popular integrated trunk back design. The look was updated with an inverted pentagonal grille with all-vertical bars beneath a prominent hood and three horizontal chrome side strips (on Deluxe models). A concealed horn, long a prominent part of the Ford's design, also brought the car into modern times. The new trucks continued with the old grille. Other major changes for 1936 were the use of pressed steel "artillery" solid wheels instead of wire wheels. This car has been modernized and features conveniences like air conditioning, heating, AM/FM radio, spare tire, jack, functioning brake lights, working horn and a kill switch to preserve battery for times when the car may be sitting.
