Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this awesome 1987 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe. With only 6052 Super Sport Monte Carlo Aero Coupes built during 1987, this is a one off amazing piece of history. Bought by the current owner 20 years ago, he decided to build this car the way Chevy should have done it! The anemic 5.0L V8 that put out only an anemic 180 Horses to the ground has been discarded. We all tried to convince ourselves, back in the day, that the 305 was awesome, but it’s what you do when you overcompensating for your deficiencies. The replacement is a very healthy 350 CID engine that has bored .030 over the block lined bored, plate honed to insure everything stayed straight during the machining process. The rotating assembly has been balanced, to insure longevity of this power plant, with a set of TRW forged flat top pistons installed and a Crane roller cam (computer friendly cam) to make this a rock solid piece. To allow this engine to breathe properly, a set of Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads, held in place by ARP head bolts and Crane Gold roller rockers fro reliability with less resistance. To get plenty of air into the heads, a T.P.I.S. Big Mouth intake with matched big tube runners and BBK throttle body set at op the engine. All GM sensors are new with a new GM Computer. The exhaust is a set of Edelbrock headers, with a.i.r. injection, that have been Jet Hot coated so they will last for the life of the car. From the headers, a Torque Tech 2.5 mandrel bent exhaust system with Walker Super Dyno-Max mufflers. The whole engine compartment including the wiring system has been done to appear factory. The engine is estimated to put out a minimum 360 hp, or twice the original power plant. To handle extra power, the original 200r4 with Art Carr internals and an Art Carr torque Converter. The rear end has been swapped out for a Buick Grand National rear end that has new bearings, posi unit, 3.73 ring & pinion with a set of Moser Street/Strip axles to make the rear end nearly bullet proof. The interior is all original burgundy cloth seats and original dashboard. When you set in the interior, it still looks and smells as good as the day it rolled off the showroom. Outside the car, the vehicle is done in White gloss paint, with pin striping that very closely matches the factory scheme, with difference being on the hood indicating what lies beneath. Before the new white paint was laid down, the car was taken completely apart, including being separated from the frame. The frame was sand blasted, painted in a semi gloss, then all new parts were installed including; new stainless fuel & brake lines, Bell Tech 2 inch front drop spindles, 2 inch Bell-Tech springs in rear w/shocks, NOS GM body bushings. To finish off the look is a set of COYs 5 wheel with gray centers and a polished outer lip. One look under the shows the unmatched detail to attention that has been brought to the whole build of this car. This Monte Carlo has won at Car Shows regularly over the last 10 years and will continue to win shows! Everybody has heard the line, "you couldn't build this car for the price", it is definitely a true statement in this case. This Monte Carlo here is sure to please a crowd at a car show, with its low, throaty rumble upon startup, its tire burning horsepower, and its sleek stylish appearance. Options include Radial tires, A/C, Power brakes, Power steering, AM/FM radio and Power windows.

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to offer this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro for sale in our Houston showroom. Of special note, this is THE 1969 Camaro that Dale Earnhardt Jr. drove in the Goody's Headache Powders commercial, and comes with authentication (including Dale Jr.'s signature). One of the most iconic of the Pony Cars, the 1969 Camaro has developed a cult-like following. The Camaro was introduced in 1967 as Chevrolet's answer to combat the success of Ford's Mustang, which created a whole new vehicle segment, later dubbed "Pony Cars". For 1969, the Camaro received all-new sheet metal (except for the hood and trunk), which served to give the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned with the heavy “V” cant, and the headlights were given a new recessed position. New door skins, rear quarter panels, and rear valance panel also gave the car a much lower, wider and more aggressive look. The wheel wells were flattened with sculpted feature lines flowing off towards the rear of the car and rear-slanting simulated air slots were positioned ahead of the rear wheel. The front had a full width chrome bumper integrated with the body color grille surround and round parking lights positioned on either side of the license plate. At the rear were wider tail light bezels with triple segment lenses. This styling is considered by many Camaro enthusiasts as the ultimate muscle car look and arguably the most desirable. This car is presented in its original LeMans Blue paint (as depicted on the cowl tag), along with performance white stripe accents. Under the hood lurks a high-compression full roller 350 CID V8, built by Conroes Choice Automotive. It sports a pair of Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads and FAST EFI TBI Fuel Injection sits atop the Edelbrock hi-rise aluminum manifold. An MSD Digital 6AL ignition system helps boost the spark, while coated headers suction the exhaust gases into a 2.5" dual exhaust system, and the performance mufflers give it that throaty muscle car sound that enthusiasts crave. The hi-po 350 sends the power to the rear via a built 700R4 4-speed automatic, which twists the 3.90:1 gears in its 10-bolt Posi rear end. In the event you find yourself spending too much time in the throttle, savoring the high RPM howl this 350 makes, the two-piece slotted and drilled Wilwood rotors and their accompanying multipiston calipers up front will help you get back to legal digits quickly. Inside this cool coupe is an Ivory bucket seat interior (also noted on the cowl tag), which seems practically new, as does the black carpet. An Equus tri-gauge cluster above the console helps keep the driver informed about critical operating systems, as well. The console features a period correct "staple" shifter, with an updated gear indicator bezel, alluding to the 4-speed transmission (with "D-3-2-1" positions, rather than the "D-2-1" of a 3-speed auto). Additional features on this 1969 Camaro for sale include Vintage-style AM/FM Radio with Aux port, Power Brakes, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Vinyl Interior.
