This numbers matching 1966 Chevrolet II Nova L79 is available in our Louisville showroom. In 1966 you could walk in to any Chevy dealer and order a 66 Nova anyway you wanted it. Many opted for the SS package giving Moms grocery getter a little more style. Then there were those who went down a little further and marked the box with code L79. That little check mark got you fire breathing completely revved up 327 producing 350 ponies. Less than 3600 SS L79’s were built that year making this a prime example of what a collector should be. Completely restored and documented with photos in 1992 the car went on the show circuit claiming multiple awards. This full on factory sleeper even made a few Magazines in the ‘90’s. The 1993 march issue of Muscle Cars even used it as a centerfold picture accessorized with a lovely model .Beginning in 1996 the car rarely got seen and was stored away, taken out only to keep the beauty maintained. The regal red paint still looks amazing with the all of the bright work being in excellent condition as well. The hubcaps, though not a personal preference, are the right ones and go well with the car. The interior has been done in a period correct black vinyl that definitely goes well with the regal red exterior. The bucket seats remind you that this is, even in top trim, a no frills race car. The 4 speed shifter controls the manual transmission and only makes this little Nova that much more fun to drive. The car has been authenticated by Jerry MacNeish of Camaro Hi-Performance Inc. Jerry is licensed by the state of Maryland and certified by the International Automobile Appraisers Association. So you are definitely getting a real deal 1966 Chevy II, RPO L79 4-speed Coupe. A copy of the certificate is available upon request. If you have wanted to make a good investment on a great car this is it! Options for this Nova include; AC, AM Radio, Vinyl Interior, Rallys, and Radial Tires. This 1966 Chevrolet II Nova L79 can be seen, including an HD video, at www.gatewayclassiccars.com.
