Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1976 Jeep CJ5. The CJ5 was introduced in 1954 as a 55 model by Kaiser which was sold to AMC in 1970. The 76 models are one of the most sought after due to the revised and strengthened frame design. This 76 CJ needed that extra support with the small block 350 under the hood putting out a ton more power than the original engine. The 4-barrel carb feeds this monster plenty of fuel giving it a completely different driving experience over stock. The chromed headers take care of the exhaust gases and look good doing it. Mated up to a 3-speed manual transmission this Jeep is a blast to drive. The chrome roll bar is a great custom touch and shows nice while setting it apart from the crowd. The Soft top by Bestop are known for there quality and longevity. The bimini top is also available and gives you some protection while still having that open-air feel. The interior is different than your typical Jeep with the cloth being something typically not seen in these vehicles. The back has custom side pieces giving it a great finished look with rear set having a lockable trunk underneath allowing for stowage of any valuables. The stance of the jeep is courtesy of the brand-new shocks that were just installed increasing the height and ride quality tremendously. The 31-inch tires are in terrific condition and have a very versatile tread pattern. With the brand-new steering stabilizer installed at the same time this CJ is extremely road worthy. Upfront the WARN winch is there just in case you get in any trouble while tackling the trails while that LED lightbar ensures daytime lighting in the middle of the night. If you have been wanting to get into one of these CJ series Jeeps but want something just a little different this one is a great candidate. Options on this 1976 Jeep CJ5 include, Seat Belts, AM/FM/CD, Cloth Interior, and Aluminum Wheels with Radial Tires. The “CJ” is short for Civilian Jeep as these Jeeps have roots back to the military. A whopping 603,303 CJ5’s were produced between 1955 and 1983. Despite the popularity, finding restored Jeeps in this condition is becoming increasingly difficult. This bright orange, four wheeled, fun machine is gel coated making for a very durable exterior. Engine: 4.2L I6 2BL OHV
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 106,500 ( undocumented )

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this nicely restored 1982 Jeep CJ7. The Jeep’s have been around for a very long time dating back to 1945 for civilians and going back to WWII known better as the Willy’s of that era. These off-road vehicles are known for going through the tough stuff to include mud, rugged trails, and rock climbing. These utilitarian vehicles are also great for beach cruises, or daily drivers as well. This Jeep runs through the powerband with a 4.2L I6 and is paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission. With only 2 calculated owners per the CarFax, this Jeep has been very well taken care of through its life. The power is driven through the rear end which features 4.10 gearing. The monster sits on top of some 33” tires that have plenty of tread life left in them. The truck has a very nice black and blue paint which is found on ’09 BMW’s. Seeing this out in the sunlight really sets it apart from the other Jeeps on the road. The paint work was done by “Wolfe Paint” out of Texas City, Tx. The Jeep was sanded down to bare metal then went through a zinc, epoxy, paint coating sequence to make it shine. The aluminum diamond plated doors are light weight and will get your head turning as the Jeep cruises down the road. The interior has custom flooring commonly used on boats and is a granulated rubber known as “SafeFloor”. This allows easy cleaning when you get back from a nice off-road adventure with your friends or family. This truck also features AM/FM radio, power brakes, power steering, and custom wheels.
