This awesome 1965 T5 Convertible Mustang is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The T5 Mustang was Fords way of not paying a copyright fee in Germany for using the Mustang name. They used the T5 designation internally when building the Mustang, so they simply dropped the Mustang and called it a T-5 And problem solved. The car just like in America was an instant success with them being sold to the same up and coming market. This example has been owned by the same couple for the last 50 years with the original transfer paperwork available. The first thing you notice about the car is its green paint which was redone in 1999 back to its original color. The tan top is in great condition with the power option being highly sought after and this one working as it should. The red line wheels are a great look and compliment the deluxe wheel covers nicely. The rocker panel moldings give it a refined look while giving protection to the rockers them self. Under the hood is the original 289 which was gone through about 9000 miles ago. The car runs great with it not blowing any smoke and decent amount of power. The 3 speed transmission shifts as it should with a good feel while going into each gear smoothly. Open the door and the ivy gold interior is a pleasant surprise going well with the top and the exterior. The console mounted shifter gives the car a much cleaner interior. The bucket seats are in great shape and are correct to the car. If you are looking for a great drop top Mustang that is just a little different and owned by the same people for 50+ years this T5 is the one for you. Options on this 1965 Ford T5 Ford Mustang Include AM Radio, Power Convertible Top, Hub Caps, Seat Belts, and Redline Bias Ply Tires. Located in our Louisville Showroom, this extremely clean 1965 Ford Mustang T5 Convertible can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and videos at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to offer this All-American classic 1965 Ford Mustang. First introduced as a 1964 ½ model, the Mustang instantly took the world by storm and created an entirely new segment in the automobile industry. The popularity of the Mustang has never waned, and it still dominates the sporty 2-door segment even today. This blue drop-top beauty has been in the same family since the 1990’s. The Mustang still shows well, despite having an older restoration. There are a few areas that could use some attention, but this pony car still has good bones and would make a great “fair weather driver” or a kick-off point for a fresh restoration. A newer white convertible top and newer boot match the nice white vinyl interior. Power comes from the 200CID 6-cylinder mated to a 3-speed manual transmission, both of which have been rebuilt by a specialty shop in Greenfield, Indiana. The car has been garaged recently and has had very few miles driven since 2015-2016. It’s time to get this pony back on the road! Drop the top and take a cruise in style in one of the most iconic automobiles ever built. Be sure to visit our webpage at www.gatewayclassiccars.com to view 100+ HD pictures, as well as a short video of the Mustang in action. For sale in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom is this 1965 Ford Mustang fastback. This gorgeous Mustang Fastback was fully restored 15 years ago and just had a gorgeous fresh full paint job! Powered by a mildly built 289 backed by a 5-speed manual transmission and putting power to the ground through a 8” Currie rear end with 3.55 gears, this baby will move! This pony car is made much more enjoyable to drive with 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes and cold blowing A/C. The A/C is R134-A, so it is cheap and easy to recharge if it ever needs it. Other options include vinyl interior, seat belts, radial tires, aluminum alloy wheels, AM/FM/CD player, and fold down rear seat. During the restoration most of the metal on the car was replaced with new to make for a very solid Fastback! New exhaust including new manifolds and full dual exhaust was just done in 2015 along with high back bucket seats, and a new hydraulic clutch. The front end of this 65 was given a 66 grill which most people prefer as it is a cleaner look. Badging and emblems are kept to a minimum to maintain that smooth and clean look all around the car. 1965 was the first year for the mustang and is split into 2 categories: Early 1965 which is also known as the 1964 1/2 cars, and Late 1965 which include beauties like this example. There were small differences between the two, but the latter did use an alternator instead of a generator which almost everyone will agree was an upgrade. The fold down rear seat is the reason these cars were called 2+2s. You had a two-seat cruiser with the back seat folded down or you could put it up and seat 2 more passengers. Don’t miss your chance to own a very solid 65 Mustang priced on the lower end of the market! For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is an early 1965 Ford Mustang. Making this an early '65 is the 260 V8 as opposed to the later 289. The 260 was a carryover from the outgoing Ford Falcon that the Mustang ended up replacing. Some will argue a car being a '64 1/2 or an early '65. This one does have some of the typical equipment found on an early '65 or '64 1/2. Such items include different door lock pulls, specific hub caps, different horn location, generator vs. an alternator, smaller Mustang emblems on the fenders and of course the 260 V8 just to name a few. This one is painted red over a black vinyl interior complimented with a white vinyl headliner. Inside you'll notice a standard Mustang interior with one exception, an original Air Conditioning unit mounted beneath the dash. The power source under the hood is the mentioned F code 260 V8 that runs quite well and sends power through a 3 speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels. The serial number for this early Mustang is 7082. Still quite low considering almost 700,000 Mustangs were produced in 1965. For more information on this early 1965 Ford Mustang, call our St. Louis showroom at 618-271-3000 or swing by for an up close viewing. Thank you for your interest in this sleek 1965 Ford Mustang located in our Tampa location. This car is a true piece of Ford history that simply turns heads anywhere it cruises by. The Twilight Turquoise green paint scheme with black vinyl top have made this car really stand out against other Mustangs in its class and is the way this car came from the factory when it was new. This rare 200 CI 6 cylinder and 3 speed manual transmission have been completely rebuilt just under 11,000 miles ago. The 200 CI 6 is rated at 120 horse power but sure feels like more. Contrary to popular belief, the first model year for the Ford Mustang was 1965. Mustangs produced between March 9th and July 31st of 1964 are often coined the 1964 ½ Ford Mustang by enthusiasts, but for all intents and purposes, the cars are 1965 models on paper. The 1965 Mustang listed is built after the time line and is an actual 1965 with the 200 inline 6. This particular Mustang has been restored and redone about 7 years ago and has a 170 sticker on the air breather but it is in fact the 200 due to there being 5 freeze plugs in the block. It has recently had new tires and brakes put on it. The overall condition of the paint, interior, and engine in my opinion would rate as show quality. This car has many options like Air conditioning, AM/FM radio, black vinyl interior, and even white wall tires which makes the cars driving ability comfortable. If you are looking for the first classic car investment or even adding to one and need that super clean Mustang, this is the car for you. Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible. The Mustang created the "pony car" class of American automobiles. This Iconic pony car has been completely gone through and restored in 2009. The “poppy red” paint is a beautiful shade of orange, and was painted at the time of the restoration. The manual Convertible top was replaced at the time of the restoration and is in excellent shape. Under the hood is the strong 200ci inline 6 engine that has powered these 1965 Mustangs. Putting the power to the ground is a 3-speed automatic transmission. The engine is numbers matching according to the consignor. Everything in the drive train is original to this classic Mustang. For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe. The Model A paved the way for mass produced vehicles. By the end of the run, Ford had produced almost 5 million Model As. These vehicles could be purchased in a variety of body styles. From sporty roadsters to industrial trucks, the platform was extremely versatile. This particular example is the popular two door, 5 window coupe, and features a fold-a-way rumble seat behind the cab of the car. 1931 would be the last year for the ever popular Model A. Most would say the 5 window to be one of the most popular, especially for hot rodders. However, this fine example is no hot rod. This is a very well cared for original that has been fitted with some aftermarket add ons. First, and fairly common, are the add on turn signals. The next one is a big one, an inline gear reduction unit, a.k.a. an overdrive unit. This will make highway speeds a reality. It engages electronically via a switch located on the steering column. The body is finished in a dark brown that features a very slight metallic flake, the fenders are a solid gloss black, and the wire wheels are finished in yellow. The body features a yellow pinstripe to tie the whole thing together. The seat in the cab and rumble seat feature black vinyl upholstery, which are in very good condition. Under the hood is a simple flat head 4-cylinder engine. It uses a 3-speed manual transmission and transfers power to the rear axle. These cars are not speed machines, but they are torquey and fun to drive around town. This one fires up nicely and runs and drives like it should. The odometer reads 5,632, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe include Vinyl Interior, Wire Wheels, Bias Ply Tires, and a Rumble Seat. This Model A is road ready and has a lot of life left. It is ready for a parade or just a nice stroll on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Take home a piece of history with this 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe.
