This awesome 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air tribute is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 1957 Chevy was the ending to one of the most successful designs in automotive history. Starting off in 1955 with the Shoe-Box the tri-fives were an instant success. The 57 however would be the most notable out of the 3 with its “just right fins” them the most sought after of the 3 years. This black example is what most are looking for in todays market. The paint is slick and clean showing just how straight the body of this beauty is. With the chrome shined up and accenting the black perfectly its easy to see why black is the most popular color of choice. The blue dot tail lights are a great look and something you would see back in the late 50’s and early 60’s. The wheels on the car give it that classic hotrod look with the modern radial tires helping with traction in all conditions. Under the hood a stout and strong running small block 350 sits nicely between the frame rails. The Muncie 4 speed shifts through the gears nicely with the clutch having a great feel with plenty of life left in it. The interior if the car is in great shape and shows nicely. The bench seat upfront is comfortable and what you would expect in a 57 Chevy. The 4-speed shifter sits in the perfect spot with your hand falling right on top of it. The updated stereo looks right at home in the dash while sounding good doing it. If you have been wanting a 57 that looks great and drives even nicer this is the Tri-Five for you. Options on this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air tribute include; AM/FM/Cassette, Vinyl Interior, and Custom Wheels with Radial Tires. Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this Hunter Blue 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. This sharp ’57 Chevy is ready to fill your garage with show trophies or even be cruised down the highway. This 1957 Bel Air is complete and will fire right up with a simple turn of the key. Hunter blue with two tone blue and black cloth interior is styled to be period correct. The blue exterior stands out with golden accents on the front fenders and the grille. This ’57 is powered by a 283 V8 engine and a turbo-glide 3 speed manual transmission. This car comes with a period correct 3 on the tree shifting system. Brand new about 60 years ago this car had a sale price of $3,116.63 after tax! Upgrades from the factory included the transmission, Deluxe Heater, White wall tires, manual radio, back-up lights, bumper guards for the front and rear, electric covers, wheel spinners, door edge guard, and even body still molding. This car has been upgraded with power steering for a more enjoyable drive. The last owner of this car had it for almost 30 years and the quality shows. In 1957, Chevrolet started to add safety features such as "crash proof door locks "(first added in 1956), padded dash boards, safety-styled steering wheel with a recessed hub (though not as much as Ford's), seat belts(also first in 1956) and shoulder harnesses. However, unlike Ford, Chevrolet did not promote these safety features heavily. 1957 was also Chevrolet's first offering of a turbine transmission, known as the Turboglide. It was a design concept that Buick had developed with their Dynaflow transmission. However, due to a reliability reputation caused by its complexity, most automatic transmission buyers shunned the Turboglide in favor of the two-speed Powerglide that had been offered since 1950. At the time the Turboglide casing was the largest cast aluminum component ever put into mass production, but it never recovered from the reputation in 1957 and the option was discontinued in 1961. Manual transmissions were limited to three-speed, column shifted units (with synchromesh in second and third gear only). The Powerglide's shifter went P N D L R while the Turboglide's was P R N D Hr (although the 'Hr' was changed early in the production series to 'Gr'-Grade Retarder because of drivers' mistaken belief that 'Hr' meant High Range instead of the correct Hill Retarder.) An overdrive unit was available as an option on the three speed manually shifted transmission cars. Starting at the end of May 1957, a four speed manual transmission was also offered at an over-the-counter price of $188.00 but no installation kit (shifter and linkage) was ever offered by Chevrolet and, while an owner may have jury-rigged an installation in their own car, there is no evidence that any dealer ever actually installed the transmission in any car in 1957. A '57 equipped with this transmission mated to the 270 horsepower engine and limited slip differential was the one to beat on the drag strip and street into the early 1960s. This Hunter blue ’57 Bel Air is a piece of Chevrolet history and would be a great addition to any collection. This one off custom built 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 57 Chevy is hands down the most Iconic American ever made. The flowing fins are its classic signature mark and what most people think of when you say 57. They have even been able to stay relevant in the car world for over 60 years. This one off 57 can be simplified in word CLEAN. From the welded and smooth frame underneath to the two-tone paint job up top there is just no better to word to describe it. The car was taking down to bare metal with the only patch being a small one on the floor pan. The body was treated to 2 coats of epoxy primer then a high-build primer that was block sanded with a coat of urethane primer on top of that. The 3 coats of silver were then applied giving the car that great two tone look it has now. Protected by a total of 6 coats of clear giving it a mirror like finish. The billet specialty wheels really set the car off while helping to exaggerate its stance. Under the hood is more top-notch craftsmanship with the core support being the first thing you notice. Hoses have been routed through the fenders giving the engine bay a very clean look. The 383 stroker has been dressed up with a set of custom valve covers and matching breather. The power from that 383 is transferred via a TH350 transmission which shifts out just as it should. The 10 bolt posi rear-end has been filled with a set of 4.11 gears giving this 57-great acceleration. Inside you are surrounded by a custom red interior that has an original feel. Once you get in the vehicle it becomes evident that there have been some custom touches that really put this beauty over the top. The custom dash has been finished off with a set of custom gauges that really set the interior off. With the AC tied into the original controls and vents molded into the dash this must be one of the coolest interiors. If you have been looking for an extremely clean 57 that is a mix of new and old styling look no further. Options on this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air include, AC. AM/FM Radio, Tilt Wheel, Leather Interior and Aluminum Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. This Beautiful 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air " Fuelie " is for sale in our Las Vegas showroom. The 57 Chevy is hands down the most Iconic American ever made. The flowing fins are its classic signature mark and what most people think of when you say 57. They have even been able to stay relevant in the car world for over 60 years. The Rochester mechanical continuous-port injection system actually wasn’t designed by Rochester. It was the brainchild of a team of GM engineers who undoubtedly received encouragement from Zora Arkus-Duntov and Ed Cole. The prospect of exploiting the benefits of fuel injection in increasing both performance and economy must have seemed tantalizing to them–and the result of their work certainly achieved those goals. This 57 has a 283 engine that is bored .030 over and was rebuilt 7,000 miles ago. The 283 is mated to a 3 speed with overdrive transmission on the column. Brakes have been upgraded to power front disc brakes with drum in the rear and also has an Air-tique air conditioning system. For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a very cool 1957 Chevrolet Nomad. Tri-Fives have become a symbol of Americana. From four doors, to two doors, to wagons, and convertibles, they're are loveable and enjoyable in their own way. Perhaps the most sought after, is the two door wagon known as a Nomad. The Nomad has a sleeker and sportier look than most wagons with its tilted forward B-Pillars and dramatic sloping rear tailgate. There's no question this sporty wagon has a beautiful silhouette that a whole generation can relate to. This particular Nomad has been spruced up with some tasteful touches, and undergone a very extensive restoration. The exterior is finished in a deep, dark black, with gorgeous stainless bright work down the sides. You would never believe it was done in the early 90’s unless we told you, that’s how good this paint looks. It sits on 15” gold wire wheels, which really make the rest of the gold trim pop off the sides of this car. Pop the hood, you’ll find what is believed to be the original 283 that has been bored 0.060 over with a mild cam in it to give a little extra grunt. The interior is two-tone to match the exterior with a very unique upholstery pattern. They certainly don't make interiors like they used to. This Nomad was restored about 15 years ago and has held up well since. If you're looking for a tri-five that will draw a crowd wherever you go, it's gotta be a Nomad. This Chevy is the perfect mix of high end panache and classic 50’s gusto. To view this vehicle in greater detail including HD pictures and videos, visit: www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Engine: 350 CID V8Transmission: 3 Speed AutomaticMileage: 1,000 ( since rebuilt )
Now for sale in our Houston showroom is an awesome 1972 Chevy Camaro. This well-equipped Camaro is wrapped in an Emerald Metallic and has a black interior with high back buckets that are plenty comfortable. At first glance, this nostalgic second gen Camaro has a menacing stance and the stout 350 CID V8 does an excellent job of moving this Camaro’s weight around. With only about 1000 miles on the 350 since it was built, it should have plenty of life left in it! This 350 comes with a mild performance cam, 4BBL carb, long tube headers, and tall Chevrolet-etched aluminum valve covers. Spark is enhanced by the MSD6AL ignition. To keep the healthy V8 in the cool zone, a big Champion Cooling Products aluminum radiator (with a built-in trans cooler) has been installed, along with twin electric fans. Fire it up, and the mighty mouse produces a throaty rumble through its Flowmaster-equipped dual exhaust. Backing the rumbling 350 is a 3-speed automatic transmission controlled by a staple shifter, and a set of SunPro gauges help the driver keep tabs on critical engine functions. Make your way into the cockpit, and you'll feel like you've been taken back in time. Black abounds, with black vinyl seats, carpet, door panels, and trim. Add in a modern stereo, A/C, power steering and power brakes, and you have yourself one comfortable ride, with muscle car performance. The 15" Rallye-style wheels have charcoal colored powder coating on the centers, with chrome beauty rings, and are wrapped in 235/60-R15 Cooper Cobra radials at all 4 corners. Options on this 1972 Chevrolet Camaro include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM/CD Radio with Aux connector for MP3 capability, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Vinyl Seating. Whether you're looking for a weekend cruiser, a Gen 2 Camaro aficionado, or simply want another toy for your collection, this 1972 Camaro is for you.
