The 1973 Chevrolet Stingray Corvette is located in our Louisville showroom. Many will consider '70s the beginning of the end for horsepower wars. With unleaded gas becoming the standard and smog regulation's tightening, there were an increasing number of hurdles for the big three to jump through. Chevy had their engineers working on how they were going to meet the demands of Uncle Sam and still get the muscle that Corvette was known for. The 350 SBC under the hood is not the original engine but runs just as good if not better than a 73. Backed up by a TH350 Transmission that transfers the power to the rear wheels. Take out the T-tops out and you will be ready to cruise on that next spring day. The T-tops can be easily re-installed with ease, just in case the sunshine doesn’t last as long as it should. The interior is in very good shape and compliments the red exterior very well. The tilt telescoping wheel gives you a ton of options and allows taller as well as shorter people to enjoy the ride of this classic. If you are looking for great addition to the collection or something to have a blast driving down those back country road look no further. Options include AM/FM/CD, Vinyl INterior interior, Power Brakes, Power steering, Radial tires, Rally Wheels, Seat Belts, Telescopic Wheel and Tilt Wheel. Few cars have captivated the imagination like the Chevrolet Corvette. From gracing the silver screen, to taking the podium on race day, inspiring generations of musicians, the Corvette is firmly sewn into the fabric of American history. This two-tone 1971 Corvette Coupe represents a great patch of that historical quilt. Scooting this American sports car along is the 365hp 454 cubic in. LS5 and TH400 3 speed automatic combination. It is getting more and more difficult to find great looking big block cars such as this that have been kept up to this kind of glory, and with just over 92,000 miles on the odometer it’s easy to realize this car has been someone’s prized possession for years ! Swing open the long doors, and you are greeted with the classic black vinyl interior that looks just as great as the day it rolled off the assembly line. The large wood wheel just feels right in your hands, and provides confidence when pushing the limits, while t-tops give the option of feeling the open air and sunshine on your face. With a Big Block Chevy v8 the sound delivered is undeniably muscle, yet the well equipped black vinyl interior tells you that you are riding in a luxury sports car. This was always the niche that the Corvette filled; it is not quite a muscle car, nor is it a sports car. It is America’s car, make this one your car today. You can view this 1971 Chevrolet Corvette in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. Engine: 454 Cubic Inch V8Transmission: 4 Speed ManualMileage: 28,124 ( actual )
Under the L88 “Big Block” hood of this beautiful sunflower yellow 1971 Chevrolet Corvette rests a massive LS6 454 cubic inch V8 engine! The 454 was the largest production engine that Chevrolet ever put into a corvette. These power houses produced massive toque numbers all the way through rpm range and makes for a thrill of a driving experience. With ratings of 450 hp at 5600 rpm and 500 lb ft at 3600 rpm of torque, it has been suggested that the LS6 was substantially underrated from the factory. Which was somewhat common practice by the American car makers, and that the engine actually produced well over 500 horsepower as delivered from the factory. Sending all of that power to the 3.73 rear end is an M-22 Muncie four-speed manual transmission that shifts firmly through the gears. The powertrain in this Corvette is very strong and performs great. This car is just itching to get on some windy roads. Moving inward, the interior is finished in black and has a very enclosed and low to the ground feel that provides the driver with an interesting perspective like that of a racecar. The seats are in great condition and very comfortable. The driver as well as passenger will appreciate the removable factory T-tops to allow plenty of sunshine in on warmer days. On colder days, the driver will enjoy the heat. Supporting each corner of this sweet ride are the correct rally wheels wrapped in rubber with good life left. Overall, the exterior of this beauty is in a very good driver condition. Included with the sale of this car is a set of receipts as well as the protecto plate. Engine: ZZ 383 StrokerTransmission: Tremec 5 SpeedMileage: 2,957 ( since rebuilt )
This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette is for sale in our Louisville KYT showroom. Road racing has long been a part of American car culture for not only showing what companies could do but just for the sheer fun. The 60’s and 70’s would see one of the biggest booms in the sport with Lemans and the T/A series finding plenty of fans. The sport would eventually fade away after Car manufactures began to focus on fuel economy and safety instead of performance. This example is true to that heritage and was built to look and perform as such. Probably the first thing you notice on this 71 is the headlights. Like racecars of that time the hole light assembly ahs been removed with a Lemans style piece put in its place that not only looks sportier but shaves quite a few ponds off. The front has a bottom spoiler to help with down force, but you have to admit looks pretty darn good. The paint job is fitting with the company logos being nothing more than vinyl decals that can be removed if you don’t like the look. The racing components is what really separates this road course weapon from the rest. The Bilstein shocks are race ready with the tubular control arms, fiberglass leaf springs, and lowered stance all add to the carving capability’s. The Steeroids rack and pinion steering is one of the most precise setups sold for these cars eliminating any of the see saw motion in the wheel. Under the L88 hood is a 383 stroker motor from GM’s very successful ZZ line. The huge cam and a great tune has this small block pumping out A massive 500+HP. The tremec 5 speed handles the power nicely with the built rear end having 650HP half shafts. The 3.55 gears give the perfect mix of acceleration and top end grunt. The bucket seats inside are exactly what you need if you are thinking about trying to use the car to its full potential. The 4-point cage adds rigidity to the chassis while giving a level of protection with the 4-point harness’ keep you in place. The dash on the car has been taken out with a more race car friendly layout taking its place. The removable steering wheel allows for more room when getting in and out of the car and another item that you would expect to see in a car of this nature. The 200MPH speedometer as well as an MSD REV limiter that even has a 2 step. If you have been wanting a race car that can be driven to the track, run some hot laps around the road course and then driven back home in confidence this 71 Corvette fits the bill. Options on this 1971 Corvette include, Power Windows, Power Brakes, Cloth Interior, Seat Belts, T Tops, and Radial Tires with Alloy Wheels. If you’ve been looking for a C3 Chevrolet Corvette, look no further! This beautiful 1972 Stingray is available at our Milwaukee showroom…for now…but it won’t be for long! Equipped with its original 350 small block engine coupled to a Muncie M20 4-speed transmission, newer N11 option exhaust, updated radiator and stainless steel brakes this C3 is built for speed. You’ll turn heads with the beautiful white exterior and chrome bumpers (1972 was the last year for chrome bumpers at both front and rear, the vacuum actuated pop-up windshield wiper door, as well as the removable rear window common to all 1968-72 coupes). The C3 is the third generation of the Chevrolet Corvette, and marks the second time the Corvette would carry the Stingray name, though only for the 1969 - 1976 model years. This time it was a single word as opposed to Sting Ray as used for the 1963 - 1967 C2 generation. The name would then be retired until 2014 when it was re-introduced with the release of the C7. Hurry to the Milwaukee showroom to see this beautiful 1972 Corvette Stingray before it’s gone! The Chevrolet Corvette (C3) is a sports car that was produced by Chevrolet for the 1968 through 1982 model years. Engines and chassis components were mostly carried over from the previous generation, but the body and interior were new. It set new sales records with 53,807 produced for the 1979 model year. The C3 is the third generation of the Chevrolet Corvette, while the 1969 through 1976 models mark the second generation of the Corvette Stingray. This is an all original; numbers matching 1975 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. This Stingray has 74,900 original low actual miles showing on the odometer. The ZQ3-350 is outfitted with a 4 barrel quadrajet carburetor that starts up with the greatest of ease and runs as great as it sounds. Mated to the V8 is a 700R4 automatic transmission. One of the things that stands out to us the most is the color! The color is Steel Blue Metallic only 1,268 3.7% of all production in this color. This thing is a blast to drive and when compared to other classic muscle cars of its time it is a lot of car for the money. Rounding out the entire package nicely is the radial tires that are wrapped around the chrome spinner style wheels. Now for sale in our Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom is this beautiful 1964 Chevrolet Malibu SS convertible. The color combination is absolutely gorgeous with the Sienna Blue exterior and matching blue interior. 1964 was the first year for the first generation of a car that went on to become one of the most loved American classics of all time. The Malibu was basically the top of the line Chevelle and came in a number of body styles. You could get a four-door sedan, two-door sport coupe hardtop, convertible or a two-seat station wagon. This being the convertible, it is the most desirable of all. The interiors were more lavish than the basic cars. In 1964 the top performance option was a 300hp 327 CID V8 engine. This one has a 350 CID V8 with even more power. It is bolted to the 4-speed manual transmission to give you the best driver focused experience. You really feel connected to the car in this one. The Malibu used to be considered an awesome rear drive American muscle car. But if you go to the Chevrolet dealership in 2018 you will see the nameplate on a front drive economy car. Sometimes we questions the moves that GM make. But, don’t go and buy the new and boring one, buy this one! Features include seat belts, 4-speed, Posi-Traction and rally wheels. For even more information on this 1964 Chevrolet Malibu located in our Houston showroom come by and see us or contact the showroom at (832)243-6220 or email the showroom at Houston@GatewayClassicCars.com
