This Ford packs the punch of a modern race car with a 466 CID V8 with Twin Paxton Superchargers and methanol injection. The sonic blue and pearl white paint job, chrome accents, and large tail fins bring back memories of cruise nights and drive-in movies. All together, the engine is putting out 700 horsepower. Getting all of that power to the rear wheels is a custom-built Turbo 400, with manual valve body and gear vender overdrive. The drive train was also upgraded to handle what this beast can put out, as it’s equipped with 4-wheel disc brakes, Hydro brake booster, Ford 9” rear end with 355 gears, ladder bars, and coil over.
As for the interior, it is stock with upgraded materials, so it remains true to its roots, while still feeling comfortable and modern. The tinted glass is new, which provides an aura of mystery to the outside world as to who is behind the wheel of this behemoth. Mounted in the dash are AutoMeter gauges, including a tachometer with shift light, so no one short-shifts and takes away any of the power. Making the vehicle even more user-friendly is a tilting Ididit steering column, so it can be adjusted to driver liking. All in all, this is one tough beast that is truly a sight to see.

Now up for sale in our Houston showroom is a classy blue metallic 1957 Ford Thunderbird. The Ford Thunderbird began life in February 1953 in direct response to Chevrolet's new sports car, the Corvette, which was publicly unveiled in prototype form just a month before. Under rapid development, the Thunderbird went from idea to prototype in about a year, being unveiled to the public at the Detroit Auto Show on February 20, 1954. Like the Corvette, the Thunderbird had a two-seat coupe/convertible layout. Production of the Thunderbird began later in 1954 on September 9 with the car beginning sales as a 1955 model on October 22, 1954. Though sharing some design characteristics with other Fords of the time, such as single, circular headlamps and tail lamps and modest tailfins, the Thunderbird was sleeker and more athletic in shape, and had features like a faux hood scoop and a 140-mph speedometer hinting a higher performance nature that other Fords didn't possess. This Thunderbird has undergone a partial restoration, and is in very good driver-quality condition. The list of mechanicals that have been modified are: The 312 CID Ford engine was swapped out in 1974 with a 350 CID Chevrolet V8 engine to provide a little more get up and go for this classy chassis. It is paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission that was also added in 1974. The car has 2 known owners and was restored back in 1998 by the latest owner to preserve this piece if history. The exterior is in good condition and would get some heads turning driving down the road. This car has just the one hard top but is in nice condition and will keep you out of that wet weather. The interior of the car is in good original condition with a few small additions such as the engine turned aluminum dash to improve the appearance. The new cassette player hidden in the glove box with the Pioneer speaker behind the seat will make the drive much nicer while listening to your favorite songs. Some additional features include power steering, power windows, white walls, Cassette, AM/FM radio, and power seats. All in all, this adds up to a clean light blue bird that really is a joy to drive. It is hard to not look good driving a Thunderbird, especially when it is a T-Bird that looks this good. Call us today about this sweet little bit of nostalgia! Now for sale in the Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom is this beautiful 1957 Ford Thunderbird. This is one of the most desirable years for the Thunderbird and what a fantastic example this is. The current owner of this first-generation car bought it from the original owner in Houston all the way back in 1967 and has kept it ever since. This one has been excellently maintained over the years and still drives very well. Under the hood you will find a 312 CID V8 engine which was now standard in 1957 over the 292 CID V8 engine seen on the previous 1st generation Thunderbirds. The Thunderbird was revised for 1957 with a reshaped front bumper, a larger grille and tailfins, and larger tail lamps. The instrument panel was heavily re-styled with round gauges in a single pod, and the rear of the car was lengthened, allowing the spare tire to be positioned back in the trunk. The 312 cu in V8 became the Thunderbird's standard engine, and now produced 245 horsepower. Other, even more powerful versions of the 312 cu in V8 were available including one with two four-barrel Holley carburetors and another with a Paxton supercharger delivering 300 horsepower. Though Ford was pleased to see sales of the Thunderbird rise to a record-breaking 21,380 units for 1957, company executives felt the car could do even better, leading to a substantial redesign of the car for 1958. The exterior is finished in a gorgeous white/blue two-tone paint scheme with a matching blue two-tone interior. The cabin is kept cool with functioning air conditioning and features a manual convertible top for those summer days. Power steering and power brakes make steering and stopping this classic a breeze, even in tight parking spots. Seat belts are fitted for extra safety and the white wall tires look fantastic. Don’t miss this chance to own this one. Contact Gateway Classic Cars of Houston at (832) 243-6220 for more information on the car, financing information or to talk about purchasing. Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is pleased to offer this 1957 Ford Thunderbird for sale in our Arizona showroom. Is there anything more classic than a first generation Thunderbird in white (think Suzanne Somers in "American Graffiti") with a two-tone black and white interior. Yes, I know hers was a '56, but still, a classic color for a timeless design. Under this hood of this sweet machine is a 312 CID V8, eight cylinder, engine. For sale in our Chicago showroom is this beautiful "Blue Dream" 1957 Ford Thunderbird. With a nice Azure Blue paint laid over the body and removable hard top of this classic, one can’t help but be drawn back to a simpler time. Elvis was the most controversial musician, 12 Angry Men was in theaters with Old Yeller, and the cost of a gallon of gas was a whopping twenty-four cents. The 312 cubic inch V8 cradled snugly under hood was the top of the line engine offered, and did a fine job of making this sporty roadster scoot all over town. Backing up the Thunderbirds V8 is a healthy 2-speed automatic that shifts as smooth as when it was new. While the cool blue covering this ’57 T-bird isn’t the original color, it is very fitting on this classic Ford. The slick two-tone “Dresden Blue” interior matches very well, and adds to the very classic look on this beautiful ‘bird. This feisty Ford was treated to some serious restoration work around 2006, including the fresh paint, a brake overhaul, suspension work, a new gas tank, starter, motor mounts, wiring harnesses, the list goes on and on! What you are looking at is a new-new 1957 Ford Thunderbird! This sporty cruiser will paint a perfect smile on your face every time you fire up that Thunderbird V8. Options include: Power Seats, Wipers, Hub Caps, Vinyl Interior, Manual Top and Removable Hard Top, and While Wall Tires. Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a one of a kind 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1. Sold new on August 28th 1973 in Niagara Falls, New York; this Mach 1 has been lovingly maintained and cared for since. Right off the bat, the car as taken to Armor Guard to be Rust Guard treated. The sticker still remains on the window, and clearly the product did its job as the car is incredibly solid. From then on, the stewards whom owned the vehicle were fanatical about keeping maintenance records, and documentation throughout the car’s life. From oil change invoices, to original Dealership paperwork, almost all of it has remained with the car. With this paper trail, we know the car made it’s way from New York to South Carolina, and then eventually to Illinois. The car is a Mach 1 with it’s original 351 Cleveland under the hood, and a C6 transmission and 9” rear end. It is a well optioned car with bucket seats, factory stripes, factory tachometer, factory AM radio, and even a period style aftermarket FM converter. For the music buff, it also has a factory 8 track player, so you can jam REO Speedwagon’s Ridin the Storm out, or Elton John’s Crocodile rock on 8 track! Other options include: power steering, power brakes, 3 speed wipers, and cigarette lighter. With a recent visit to the Ford dealership, perished suspension and brake components have been replaced, and the car has been given a clean bill of health. As it sits, it is a wonderful highway cruiser and a joy to display at shows. Whether you’re an experienced Mustang collector, or wishing to enter the collector car hobby, this Mach 1 would be a great choice. You can see this 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1 in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 618-271-3000 or STL@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.
