1950 Ford F1

1950 Ford F1

Engine: 239 CID Flathead V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 0 ( undocumented )

Built with simplicity in mind, this 1950 Ford F-1 is equipped with only the essentials but did not have any expense spared during the process. The heart and soul of this pick up is a completely rebuilt 1950 Ford flathead V8 bored .60 over and roughly 1,500 miles since completion. The lope at idle provided by the Comp Cams Thumpr (#41-600-7) is the only music you will need on your ride and is very distinguishable sound. Also equipped is Offenhauser pistons, Mahle rings, Isky valve spring, and Ford rods, crank and block. Hooked up behind the flathead is a 3-speed manual transmission rebuilt at the same time as the engine and shifts smoothly between gears. The cab of the truck is still the 1950 Ford F-1 but has been heavily modified to give it the much sleeker look it has now. 6” of the top were sliced out to bring the profile lower and was moved 18” further back on the frame allowing it to run without fenders. The hood was custom built for this truck and transitions smoothly into the 1943 International fire truck grill. The bed was also built specially for this truck and matches the rest of the build very well. Slide inside the truck and you will wonder if it is even functional with how simplistic it is. The metal dash is smooth with only three gauges; Water temp left side, Oil pressure, Water temp right side. The custom bench seat sits low in the cab giving plenty of head room for all and a very comfortable driving position. All of the electronic connections have been mounted in a box behind the seat keeping the cab uncluttered and everything easily accessible. One cruise in this truck and you will be hooked! The ride is smooth and comfortable, the exhaust note will give you chills and surprisingly is not overbearingly loud and will turn heads everywhere it goes. If you are looking for a completely rebuilt and restored truck that is going to stick out from the rest of the crowd this truck is a great choice! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1950 Ford F-1 in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. 1950 Ford Woody

1950 Ford Woody

Engine: 351 Windsor V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 80,875 ( undocumented )

A great deal of time, money, and effort has gone into making this old Ford Woody the perfect cruiser! After the second (current) owner purchased the car back in February of 1988 it was driven for a few years before it underwent a restoration of the wood panels on the car in 1994. Taking over a year to complete by a professional, the woodwork has held up nicely and, to this day it still looks great! Under the hood sits a 351 cubic inch Windsor V8 with only 2,500 miles put on since the professional rebuild by a reputable racing shop. The front suspension was replaced with Mustang II components providing a much nicer ride and premium control. As you slide into the interior that was reupholstered back in 2005, you will feel as if you were transported to a different era. A time in history where it was deemed “okay” to make most of the panels out of wood! Fire up that big V8, drop the transmission into drive, and start to cruise! You can almost hear the “Endless Summer” album by The Beach Boys, playing from the aftermarket stereo. The ride quality is very comfortable and feels safe even at higher speeds. The rack and pinion steering is smooth and much more precise than stock, and the disc brakes will stop you quickly. Everywhere you go, this old Ford is sure to turn heads and be a crowd pleaser! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1950 Ford Woody in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. 1948 Ford Pickup

1948 Ford Pickup

Engine: 307 CID V8
Transmission: TH350
Mileage: 1,500 ( since rebuilt )

This 1948 Ford pickup is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. Rat Rods have been around since the early 70’s but have recently gone mainstream. With there over the top I don’t care what you think style they usually get more attention than a custom show car. This 48 Ford truck was built to drive and get a bunch thumbs up as you go down the road. The body of the truck is in great shape with the satin green really getting people to look twice. With the front grill coming from a 450 Case dozer you can be certain you won’t have to worry about pulling up to another one at the stoplight. The front end has been painted bright red a great accent against that flat green. The flaming river steering box allows for a better feel of the road making the steering more precise. The speedway front calipers work great stopping this ole truck faster than anything in 1948. Under the take-off hood is a rebuilt Chevy 307 that powers this rod down the road just fine. The huge aluminum radiator keeps that small block nice and cool with the electric fan being more of a just in case thing. The huge headers with the collectors coming out each side puts an exclamation point on this radical Rat. Matched up to a rebuilt TH350 that shifts out just as you would expect. The 10-bolt rear end handles the power nicely turning the big back tires with ease. The extremely cool looking aluminum gas tank mounted in the back is classic 60’s era styling. Look inside and a red vinyl bench seat really ties everything together. If you have been wanting to get your hands on a cool ratrod but don’t have the time to build one, this 48 is ready to go. Options on this 1948 Ford Truck include, Custom Wheels with Hubcaps, Vinyl Interior, and Radial Tires. To view this 1948 Ford Truck, including an HD video, at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1960 Ford Thunderbird

1960 Ford Thunderbird

Engine: 352 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 345 ( since rebuilt )

This 1960 Ford Thunderbird is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 1960 Thunderbird was the last year for what is now known as the Square birds. A rather distinctly different car than original baby birds as the second-generation cars are much bigger and can seat 4 adults comfortably. This beautiful red example has gone through a pain staking restoration with the finished Bird being one the best I have seen. Lugged out of a junk yard 15 years ago this was a solid bird to begin with. The red paint was laid down nice and smooth with the result looking like glass. The trim and chrome on the car are exceptionally clean and remind you why these birds are classic late 50’s. Those classic wire knock offs are the perfect fit on this 60 Bird. Under the hood you will find a very clean engine bay that is as clean as they come. The period corrects 352 with its true to form yellow valve covers really putting their exclamation point under the hood. The Cruise-O-Matic 3 speed is a smooth shifting transmission that handles all the power of the 352 with ease. Inside this plush 4-seater a fresh interior has been done in red and white vinyl making for a great contrast. The middle console that flows into the back separating the buckets is one of the coolest features to come in a factory car. If you have been wanting to get yourself into a square bird that is flashy and luxurious this one must be on your list. Options on this 1960 Bird include, AM Radio, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Vinyl Interior and Knock Off Wheels wrapped in Bias PLY White Wall Tires. To view this car in full detail with HD pictures and video on this 1960 Ford Thunderbird call our Louisville showroom at (812)-294-1555, or email us at Louisville@Gatewayclassiccars.com
