It was 1960, the Jet-Age, and Ford needed a sporty and youth-oriented car. Enter into the Starliner, along with its drop-top sister car,the Sunliner, as the top trims of the Ford Galaxy. With a rakish roof line, aeronautical styling, high-performance engines, and six-passenger seating, it was a smash hit for Ford. The cool fastback style with big power was used in racing applications and special editions made their way on to the NASCAR tracks. This particular Starliner has a Cruise-O-Matic transmission paired with the original 352 CID Engine that has been owned and maintained by the same family since it rolled off the Ford assembly line! With 48,568 miles stated as original, this is a true rare find. The Aquamarine paint is striking in the sunlight and the vehicle has enjoyed a ground up restoration to factory standards. This quality restoration has been featured in magazines including "Legendary Ford". The interior, gauges and trim are also done to a high standard. When you add up the smooth ride, powerful V8, bold styling, and quality of the restoration, this Ford really stands out. This 1960 Ford Starliner is located at our Milwaukee showroom. Other 1958 - 1962 Ford

1962 Ford Galaxie 500XL

Engine: 352 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 69559 ( actual )

This 1962 Ford Galaxie 500XL is for sale ion our Louisville KY showroom. The Galaxie was Ford’s answer to GM’s extremely popular Impala. The Galaxie 500 nameplate was added to the 59 Fairlane as a top of the line trim level in 1959. In 1960 it became its own car with its own style and engine packages. This 62 is a great example of what you would expect in 1962. The white paint is in excellent condition with the simple flick of a switch activating the power top. With the top out of the way an extremely nice stock black vinyl interior is easily exposed. With the buckets eats upfront separated by a console which houses the shifter a rare option for 62. The white paint is clean and shows extremely well with the chrome fender skirts complimenting that old school look. The trim ties in with those big chrome bumpers while black accents bring it all together. Open that long hood and one of the cleanest engine compartments I have seen is glaring back at you. The FE series 352 gets the car going down the road nicely with plenty of low end grunt to get you going. Drop that shifter into drive and let the cruise-o-matic do the rest. Shifting through all 3 gears nicely this car is meant to hit the road and cruise. If you have been wanting to get a classic 60’s era drop top that runs as good as it looks this 62 Galaxie is the one for you. Options on this 1962 Ford Galaxie 500XL convertible include, AM Radio, Power Steering, Power Top, Hubcaps, and Radial Tires. For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a Flamingo Pink 1959 Ford Thunderbird Convertible. This T-Bird underwent an extensive restoration in the mid 1990’s and still shows very well. The restoration performed was one that honored the originality of the classic Thunderbird. The paint and interior colors remain the same from factory. The exterior is painted in a great looking Flamingo Pink and the interior including the vinyl upholstery is all white. The white vinyl top provides a beautiful look while in use. All in all, considering the age of the restoration, this is a fine example of a driver quality 59’ Thunderbird Convertible. 1934 Ford Tudor

Engine: 350 Ram Jet
Transmission: 4L60E Auto
Mileage: 2586 ( undocumented )

The Gateway Classic Cars Showroom in Saint Louis is tremendously proud to offer this amazingly restored and well-kept 1934 Ford Tudor. In succession of the Model A, between 1932 and 1934 Ford produced three new cars; Model B, Model 18, and Model 40. The noticeable changes of the 1934 design included a flatter grille with a wider surround and fewer bars, straight hood louvers, two handles on each side of the hood, smaller head lights and cowl lamps, and a reworked logo. This 1934 Ford Model 40 has been reworked to be powered by a RAM Jet 350, which is a Chevy Small-Block V8 (Cubic Inch Displacement 350) that has a maximum RPM of 5200. Pushing is the engine is a General Motors 4L60-E (TH700R4). Other modern driving features includes: Power Brakes, Posi Traction, Power Brakes, Radial Tires, and Tilt Wheel. The engine, transmission, and wiring were all installed in 2008. Smooth driving performance aside, what makes you motivated to buy this 1934 Ford Model 40 is because it looks better than everything else on the road. The condition of the exterior black paint job from 2008 is in excellent condition and doesn't even need to be waxed to shine as it does. This car has been kept in clean and dry conditions since she was built. The Show Me glass body sits on a Pete and Jake's frame and features a Heidt's front end. The accenting chrome trim and wheels only make the whole ride the reason why people stop and turns their heads to watch her strut her stuff. Running across the front of the Tudor are the classic white, yellow, red, and orange flames. If that makes you hot, then cool off on the inside where there is working A/C, comfortable leather seats, carpeted floor, and a dark trim that matches the exterior. If you are looking for an investment vehicle, a show car, something for your collection, or something just to drive around, this is a ride that you want to inquire more about. 1950 Ford Woody

Engine: 351 Windsor V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 80875 ( undocumented )

A great deal of time, money, and effort has gone into making this old Ford Woody the perfect cruiser! After the second (current) owner purchased the car back in February of 1988 it was driven for a few years before it underwent a restoration of the wood panels on the car in 1994. Taking over a year to complete by a professional, the woodwork has held up nicely and, to this day it still looks great! Under the hood sits a 351 cubic inch Windsor V8 with only 2,500 miles put on since the professional rebuild by a reputable racing shop. The front suspension was replaced with Mustang II components providing a much nicer ride and premium control. As you slide into the interior that was reupholstered back in 2005, you will feel as if you were transported to a different era. A time in history where it was deemed “okay” to make most of the panels out of wood! Fire up that big V8, drop the transmission into drive, and start to cruise! You can almost hear the “Endless Summer” album by The Beach Boys, playing from the aftermarket stereo. The ride quality is very comfortable and feels safe even at higher speeds. The rack and pinion steering is smooth and much more precise than stock, and the disc brakes will stop you quickly. Everywhere you go, this old Ford is sure to turn heads and be a crowd pleaser! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1950 Ford Woody in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com.
