Grab everyone's attention this Summer with this 1931 Chevy Sedan.
The Chevrolet Series AE Independence was manufactured by Chevrolet in 1931 to replace the 1930 Series AD Universal. Production levels slipped during the Great Depression to 619,554 units, but Chevrolet actually outpaced rival Ford in 1931! The main change between the Series AE and the outgoing AD was a 2-inch longer wheelbase, now at 109”. It remained powered by the “Stovebolt Six” 194 cid inline 6-cylinder engine producing 50hp. This classic 1931 four-door sedan ups that ante with a 350 cubic-inch V8 mated to a Mustang II automatic, Mustang front-end suspension and 373 Posi rear end. The 350 power plant sports a polished aluminum intake & air cleaner, Accel distributor, dual exhaust and stainless gas tank. Additional features include manual rack & pinion steering, power brakes, attractive wire wheels and AM/FM/CB Radio. This is an older build with lots of chrome accessories, and could be driven as is or form a solid base to personally upgrade. This is a steel body car with fiberglass fenders. The 1931 Chevrolet hot rod is located at our Milwaukee showroom.

Engine: 283 CID V8Transmission: M22 Muncie 4 Speed Wide RatioMileage: 21,591 ( undocumented )
Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this 1931 Chevrolet Independence. This Coupe is powered by the late year 1961 Corvette 283 cubic inch motor bored out .030 over. It is coupled to an M22 wide ratio Muncie 4 speed with an independent rear suspension from a C3 Corvette. 1931 was the last year Chevy out-sold Ford by blowing the doors off their little four cylinders. Ford introduced their 8 cylinder flathead in 1932, which was Bonnie and Clyde’s preferred choice to outrun the law. Had Bonnie and Clyde been driving this 1931 Chevrolet Five Window Coupe they could have gotten away for more days of bank robbing. This slick little coupe is quick but also stops well with disc brakes on all four corners. The body is all steel with fiberglass fenders and running boards. The beautiful blue paint will attract loads of attention. However, for those who like to seek more attention, there is an electric switch operated line lock to hold the front wheels while the rear tires do a “smoking burnout.” This 1931 Chevrolet Independence 5 Window Coupe is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information, please call our knowledgeable staff at (813)645-6200 or email us at Tampa@GatewayClassicCars.com. For sale in our Nashville, Tennessee showroom is perhaps the best equipped 1934 Chevrolet Sedan on the road today. This 1934 Chevrolet Sedan is the epitome of street rod and exudes performance and style. If the devil is in the details, somebody call a priest… this car is downright sinister! Shaking the ground under this ride is a dual quad full roller Chevrolet Performance ZZ4 crate 350 pushing out over 400ftlbs of earth moving torque! Everything under the hood has been polished and the block has even been smoothed and painted, there isn’t a surface that was left stock in appearance. Under the car you’ll find chrome and polished parts from the upper and lower control arms and spindles, to the Borgenson chrome steering shaft and u-joints. This level of customization continues with the body and it quickly becomes evident that this is anything but your run of the mill sedan, it’s been chopped, nosed, decked, shaved, frenched, and tucked. The windows operate from a central billet aluminum control panel on the ceiling and the doors are opened by key fob. The interior of this 1934 Chevrolet is stuffed full of custom Bobby Griffey seats and color matched leather. Rather than chrome, this ride is sporting polished billet aluminum on every surface you can imagine from the digital billet dash and gauge cluster, to the billet steering wheel and interior door handles. This dark chariot of power and cool rides on custom billet wheels with a rake that makes it look like it’s doing the ton while sitting still… be the envy of your neighborhood and the talk of the next cruise-in. With this car it’s likely you’ll never leave a car show empty handed again... For more information please call the Nashville showroom at 615-213-1800 or e-mail us at Nashville@GatewayClassicCars.com

This good looking 1930 Chevrolet Coupe is for sale in our Louisville Showroom. There are various theories about the origin of the term "hot rod". The common theme is that "hot" related to "hotting up" a car, which means modifying it for greater performance. One theory is that "rod" means roadster, a lightweight 2-door car which was often used as the basis for early hot rods. Another theory is that "rod" refers to camshaft, a part of the engine which was often upgraded in order to increase power output. Under the hood of this good-looking street rod is the Heart Beat of America. That’s right, the most popular V8 engine to be used in a street rod for the last 50 years, a small block Chevy engine. Cubic displacement of the V8 is a nice healthy 350 inches. The V8 is mated to a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. The two toned green and black goes really well together. The top hasn’t been chopped down, so there is still plenty of head room inside this old Chevy. Inside, gray cloth bucket seats are up front with a matching rear bench seat in the rear. The wood ribs have been left exposed and a little of that work in progress. After all, are Hot Rods really ever done? The dash has been filled with aftermarket gauges and an aftermarket tilt steering column with a woodgrain steering wheel has been added. The current owner has owned this beauty for the last 15 years, he has just decided it is time for someone else to enjoy this beauty. Options for this 1930 Chevrolet Coupe include; Power Brakes, Tilt Steering and Aluminum Alloy wheels wrapped in Radial tires. This 1978 Chevrolet Corvette L82 Pace Car is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 1978 was the 25th anniversary of the Corvette and GM wanted to capitalize on this prestigious event with a special edition Corvette. After speaking with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, GM was able to obtain the rights to be the pace car for the race. The decision was made to have the car painted black and silver a classic color combination. They had 2 versions with base model having the L48 which consisted of close 75% of the cars. This beauty is one of the more coveted L82 models which was switched out for something that is a little more powerful. The new engine is still a small block, but the displacement has been increased to a total of 454 CI. The balanced and blueprint engine is putting out over twice as much as the original L82 giving this pace car the power it deserves. A blueprint cast iron block was used which allows for a much longer stroke with the forged connecting rods being 6.00. The 950CFM carb feeds just the right amount of fuel and with the engine having a 10:1 compression pump gas works just fine. The TH350 transmission was rebuilt and seems to handle the power extremely well transferring the power to the rear wheels with ease. The custom exhaust really lets everyone know that this is not your normal small block. The interior is clean and original to the car with the weather stripping replaced as well as the T Tops. The exterior of the car looks great with the remaining stickers still in their original box. To top everything off the car is even sold with the original window sticker showing the original 14410.21 sticker price equivalent to almost 54500 dollars in today’s money. If you have been wanting one of these Iconic Pace Cars but the performance wasn’t quite there for you this beauty has that problem squared away. Options on this 1978 Chevrolet Pace Car include, AM/FM, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Seat Belts, T-Tops, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, Aluminum Wheels, and Leather Interior. This Camaro SS is set up with a Ford 9” rear end and has amazing stopping power with its adjustable master cylinder and Corvette style disc brakes. This car rumbles with its duel exhaust in idle and has a pure performance feel when accelerating. The style of this car comes from the exterior with its beautiful dark red paint, white hockey stick stripes, and white SS badges. The aggressive stance comes from its deep dish offset 18” in the front and 20” in the rear custom wheel setup.
