The single headlights, the last year for this option, shine brightly and the AM wonder bar radio continues to crank out great tunes just as it did back in 1957. Original factory gauges still work strongly including the center mounted tachometer. Powering this amazing car is a correct 250 horsepower 283 V8 engine with a Rochester Ramjet factory fuel injection system making this Corvette one of 1,040 fuelies produced! Coupled to the healthy engine is the correct four-speed manual transmission that shifts with ease. The interior is just as nice as the exterior with the original ivory shade. A manual beige top matches perfectly with the carpet and provides a striking combination of color and style with the beautiful body lines and paint. This one off custom built 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 57 Chevy is hands down the most Iconic American ever made. The flowing fins are its classic signature mark and what most people think of when you say 57. They have even been able to stay relevant in the car world for over 60 years. This one off 57 can be simplified in word CLEAN. From the welded and smooth frame underneath to the two-tone paint job up top there is just no better to word to describe it. The car was taking down to bare metal with the only patch being a small one on the floor pan. The body was treated to 2 coats of epoxy primer then a high-build primer that was block sanded with a coat of urethane primer on top of that. The 3 coats of silver were then applied giving the car that great two tone look it has now. Protected by a total of 6 coats of clear giving it a mirror like finish. The billet specialty wheels really set the car off while helping to exaggerate its stance. Under the hood is more top-notch craftsmanship with the core support being the first thing you notice. Hoses have been routed through the fenders giving the engine bay a very clean look. The 383 stroker has been dressed up with a set of custom valve covers and matching breather. The power from that 383 is transferred via a TH350 transmission which shifts out just as it should. The 10 bolt posi rear-end has been filled with a set of 4.11 gears giving this 57-great acceleration. Inside you are surrounded by a custom red interior that has an original feel. Once you get in the vehicle it becomes evident that there have been some custom touches that really put this beauty over the top. The custom dash has been finished off with a set of custom gauges that really set the interior off. With the AC tied into the original controls and vents molded into the dash this must be one of the coolest interiors. If you have been looking for an extremely clean 57 that is a mix of new and old styling look no further. Options on this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air include, AC. AM/FM Radio, Tilt Wheel, Leather Interior and Aluminum Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air can be seen, including an HD video, at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call at 812-294-1555 or email Louisville@gatewayclassiccars.com for more information. Engine: 327 V8Transmission: 4-Speed ManualMileage: 73,010 ( undocumented )
For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1957 Chevrolet 210 Hardtop. This sweet little 210 is powered by a 327 small block Chevy and backed by a manual 4-speed transmission. Power is sent to a stock '57 rear end housing a set of 3.36:1 rear gears allowing for fun around town yet still very highway worthy. The paint is base coat clear coat Quasar Blue Metallic, is roughly 2-3 years old, is still looking great and right at home on this '57 210. Inside you'll find a stock appearing interior with correct 210 seats. Most restorations seem to lean towards Bel Air interiors regardless if they’re Bel Airs or not. The 210 looks just as good and is in an Ivory and Charcoal color scheme that goes quite well with the Quasar Blue Metallic. Miles are showing 73,010 and are believed to be original. Modern upgrades include an aluminum radiator to help dissipate heat and keep the engine running cool. Adding to the aluminum radiator is an electric cooling fan. These electric fans are very good to have during any summer parade or stuck in traffic where the clutch fan isn't spinning fast enough to keep things cool. Brakes are original style drums and are brand new. An Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold helps breath cool air into the heads and an Edelbrock carburetor supplies the fuel. Edelbrock has sure made a name for themselves over the years and this easy to use carburetor solidifies their great reputation. Other notable restoration items include a new windshield, new side glass and rubber gaskets for the doors, windshield and trunk. 1957 Chevy's are as American as Apple Pie and probably one of the most recognizable cars ever built. This one has the looks and that great V8 rumble. Don’t miss out on this classic ’57! For more information on this 1957 Chevrolet 210 Hardtop, call our St. Louis showroom at 618-271-3000. Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this Hunter Blue 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. This sharp ’57 Chevy is ready to fill your garage with show trophies or even be cruised down the highway. This 1957 Bel Air is complete and will fire right up with a simple turn of the key. Hunter blue with two tone blue and black cloth interior is styled to be period correct. The blue exterior stands out with golden accents on the front fenders and the grille. This ’57 is powered by a 283 V8 engine and a turbo-glide 3 speed manual transmission. This car comes with a period correct 3 on the tree shifting system. Brand new about 60 years ago this car had a sale price of $3,116.63 after tax! Upgrades from the factory included the transmission, Deluxe Heater, White wall tires, manual radio, back-up lights, bumper guards for the front and rear, electric covers, wheel spinners, door edge guard, and even body still molding. This car has been upgraded with power steering for a more enjoyable drive. The last owner of this car had it for almost 30 years and the quality shows. In 1957, Chevrolet started to add safety features such as "crash proof door locks "(first added in 1956), padded dash boards, safety-styled steering wheel with a recessed hub (though not as much as Ford's), seat belts(also first in 1956) and shoulder harnesses. However, unlike Ford, Chevrolet did not promote these safety features heavily. 1957 was also Chevrolet's first offering of a turbine transmission, known as the Turboglide. It was a design concept that Buick had developed with their Dynaflow transmission. However, due to a reliability reputation caused by its complexity, most automatic transmission buyers shunned the Turboglide in favor of the two-speed Powerglide that had been offered since 1950. At the time the Turboglide casing was the largest cast aluminum component ever put into mass production, but it never recovered from the reputation in 1957 and the option was discontinued in 1961. Manual transmissions were limited to three-speed, column shifted units (with synchromesh in second and third gear only). The Powerglide's shifter went P N D L R while the Turboglide's was P R N D Hr (although the 'Hr' was changed early in the production series to 'Gr'-Grade Retarder because of drivers' mistaken belief that 'Hr' meant High Range instead of the correct Hill Retarder.) An overdrive unit was available as an option on the three speed manually shifted transmission cars. Starting at the end of May 1957, a four speed manual transmission was also offered at an over-the-counter price of $188.00 but no installation kit (shifter and linkage) was ever offered by Chevrolet and, while an owner may have jury-rigged an installation in their own car, there is no evidence that any dealer ever actually installed the transmission in any car in 1957. A '57 equipped with this transmission mated to the 270 horsepower engine and limited slip differential was the one to beat on the drag strip and street into the early 1960s. This Hunter blue ’57 Bel Air is a piece of Chevrolet history and would be a great addition to any collection. This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is up for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Now for sale in our Houston showroom is an awesome 1972 Chevy Camaro. This well-equipped Camaro is wrapped in an Emerald Metallic and has a black interior with high back buckets that are plenty comfortable. At first glance, this nostalgic second gen Camaro has a menacing stance and the stout 350 CID V8 does an excellent job of moving this Camaro’s weight around. With only about 1000 miles on the 350 since it was built, it should have plenty of life left in it! This 350 comes with a mild performance cam, 4BBL carb, long tube headers, and tall Chevrolet-etched aluminum valve covers. Spark is enhanced by the MSD6AL ignition. To keep the healthy V8 in the cool zone, a big Champion Cooling Products aluminum radiator (with a built-in trans cooler) has been installed, along with twin electric fans. Fire it up, and the mighty mouse produces a throaty rumble through its Flowmaster-equipped dual exhaust. Backing the rumbling 350 is a 3-speed automatic transmission controlled by a staple shifter, and a set of SunPro gauges help the driver keep tabs on critical engine functions. Make your way into the cockpit, and you'll feel like you've been taken back in time. Black abounds, with black vinyl seats, carpet, door panels, and trim. Add in a modern stereo, A/C, power steering and power brakes, and you have yourself one comfortable ride, with muscle car performance.
