For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 2001 Ford Mustang Cobra. This SVT Cobra is far from what was original. The engine was pulled and fitted with forged internals, balanced rotating assembly, ARP bolts, Stage III Camshafts and...an intercooled blower. This professional build produces a whopping 525 rear wheel horsepower! All this power needs something just as strong to put it to the ground. Accomplishing this feat is a high performance clutch, lower stiffer springs by Eibach, adjustable camber/caster plates, and independent rear suspension with 3.31 rear gears and some sticky rubber. Adding to the menacing look of the Cobra is a set of aftermarket black wheels with polished lips and an '03-'04 Cobra front bumper and hood. Equipment consist of cold blowing Air Conditioning, Power leather seats, Aftermarket CD player with a Kicker amplifier in the trunk where you'll also find the relocated battery, Power windows, working cruise control, and an array of gauges to keep you well informed of the engine's vitals. The odometer is showing 88,856 original miles with roughly 9,000 on the build. Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this custom painted 1999 Ford Mustang Cobra convertible. This sharp Cobra started its life in Florida and has spent most of its time here out of the cold elements. Code-named "Terminator" by the SVT development crew led by John Coletti, numerous improvements were made to the powertrain and driveline to handle the power increase from the previous model's set-up. A cast-iron block was used, with stronger internals including forged Zolner pistons and Manley H-beam connecting rods that were modified with a wrist pin oiling hole by the SVT engineers. These upgrades were critical in order to support the 8 psi (0.55 bar) of boost delivered from the stock Eaton M-112 roots-type supercharger. Other improvements included the use of a lightweight aluminum flywheel connected to a Tremec T-56 six-speed transmission, 3.55:1 rear axle ratio, and stronger 31-spline halfshafts with revised upper and lower control arms. This white with white ghost flame custom painted Cobra has a clean history report and only about 81k actual miles. The white and tan look at been popular for years and will continue to be a sleek look on any muscle car. Options on this Cobra include; A/C, AM/FM radio, Cd Player, Automatic Convertible top, power seats and windows, power brakes and steering, power locks and mirrors, traction control, leather interior, and so much more. This numbers matching muscle car is in great condition inside and out. Upgraded wheels with new tires have been recently added to make this car ready for the road. Gateway Classic Cars welcomes this 2002 Ford Mustang Saleen S281 to our Philadelphia showroom. This car finished in White with Charcoal interior is like new with only 2,055 original miles. In 2002 Ford had not started selling supercharged Mustangs. The only way to get a Mustang with this kind of power was to look to an aftermarket up fitter. The Supercharged version of the S-281 was first introduced as an option for the New Edge Mustang in 1999 with a horsepower rating of 350 (261 kW). Designated as Saleen 281 CID Supercharged, this designation was widely recognized as a separate model in 2000 with more options becoming available by Saleen. Notable internal differences of an S-281SC introduced a dual gauge instrument cluster above the dashboard, while the only external difference was a Saleen Heat Extractor hood. Unlike most of our cars the best thing I can tell you about this Mustang is that it has not been modified. The only thing that has been changed on this car are the pulleys and the oil. The pulleys have been upgraded with a set of Saleen Underdrive pieces. The S281 Supercharged addition was quickly accepted by Saleen customers as the benchmark in performance Mustangs. Manufactured with a sophisticated Saleen Series II Supercharger system and “PowerFlash” performance calibration system. Packing a neck-snapping 365 horsepower and 400 ft. lbs. of torque, the S281 Supercharged provides the driver a 0-60 time of 4.7 seconds, with the quarter mile flashing by at only 13.2 seconds. To view this 2002 Ford Mustang GT Saleen S281 in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ. Engine: 4.6L V8 DOHC 32VTransmission: 5 Speed ManualMileage: 29,285 ( actual )
The year was 1997 and demand for the 305-horsepower SVT Cobra remained high! Especially for convertibles, so the SVT team shifted more of its build mix towards the Cobra droptop with production now topping 3,000 units. With only 29,285 miles on this pony car it makes it a low mileage one owner car! The power plant of this Mustang is the 32-Valve 4.6 Liter V8 producing 300 lbs.-ft. @ 4800 rpm. When you mate it up to the 5-speed manual transmission it makes for a great driving experience that will satisfy your need for speed while still keeping the rpm’s low for cruising. Speaking of a need for speed this car will handle any curves thrown at it thanks to the modified MacPherson strut with separate spring on lower arm for the front. A rigid axle, upper and lower trailing arms, two hydraulic links, variable-rate coil springs, and 27mm stabilizer bar round out the rear suspension to complete the package. Helping this Mustang come to a stop are the 13 in. vented disc, PBR twin-piston calipers in the front of the car along with the 11.65 in. vented disc, single-piston caliper in the rear. The factory 5-spoke cast aluminum wheels look great on this car and are in the excellent shape. They are wrapped in Cooper P245/45ZR-17 radial tires. Only 925 of these cars were produced in the Rio Red color this year so don’t miss out on your chance to own this one! You can view this 1997 Ford Mustang Cobra Convertible in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. This 1960 Ford Thunderbird is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 1960 Thunderbird was the last year for what is now known as the Square birds. A rather distinctly different car than original baby birds as the second-generation cars are much bigger and can seat 4 adults comfortably. This beautiful red example has gone through a pain staking restoration with the finished Bird being one the best I have seen. Lugged out of a junk yard 15 years ago this was a solid bird to begin with. The red paint was laid down nice and smooth with the result looking like glass. The trim and chrome on the car are exceptionally clean and remind you why these birds are classic late 50’s. Those classic wire knock offs are the perfect fit on this 60 Bird. Under the hood you will find a very clean engine bay that is as clean as they come. The period corrects 352 with its true to form yellow valve covers really putting their exclamation point under the hood. The Cruise-O-Matic 3 speed is a smooth shifting transmission that handles all the power of the 352 with ease. Inside this plush 4-seater a fresh interior has been done in red and white vinyl making for a great contrast. The middle console that flows into the back separating the buckets is one of the coolest features to come in a factory car. If you have been wanting to get yourself into a square bird that is flashy and luxurious this one must be on your list. Options on this 1960 Bird include, AM Radio, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Vinyl Interior and Knock Off Wheels wrapped in Bias PLY White Wall Tires.
