Be someone’s knight in shining pickup truck with this all original 1970 GMC C-1500 Custom Pickup available now in our Milwaukee Showroom. Consider yourself lucky to have found this time warp of a Pickup. The kind of find you envy on all the car rebuilding and customizing T.V. shows. Where do they get these ‘barn find’ original kind of vehicles? How do they know what vehicle will command the attention and numbers? Well the true enthusiast knows they start with the right vehicle. This 1970 GMC C-1500 Custom is that vehicle. Sunkist Orange and lightly patenaed just the right amount in just the right places. Where most truck owners tend to alter or modify changing long beds to short beds and replacing a 6 cylinders to big blocks it has become a challenge for the numbers matching, factory perfect restorer to find the pedigree to work with. Since the availability of these classic trucks has turned increasingly difficult to acquire, especially in the rarer GMC over the common Chevy. Not for you, you found it right here. Never customized, modified or redone and numbers matching. It’s just like you’d expect if you went back to the mid ‘70’s. Sitting on the new beautiful embossed black vinyl bench seat you can almost hear “FreeBird” playing from the radio as you sit waiting for your load of mulch filling the 8’ wood bed, both of which are rare options to find. The interior has been freshened up with new black vinyl headliner, new black carpet and new embossed black door panels to match the new bench seating. All complimented by the body color Sunkist Orange dash and doors. Drive it every day if you like, with the original 350 CID L48 engine synonymous with performance, horse power and reliability you’re sure to enjoy the throaty and intoxicating nostalgia feel this truck commands. 4x2, ½ ton with a 6 x 5.5” bolt pattern and a TH350 transmission to turn those original white walls and very cool original GMC hubcaps. All the right touches are there to make it period correct with an A pillar mounted spot light, diamond plated rear bumper, the over cautious side marker lights that seem to multiply. The Sunkist Orange is paired with a Polar White cab and lower rocker panel. Even the tailgate has a faux wood panel. The stance is athletic and proper with bushy eyebrows of chrome over the duel headlamps. Maintenance has been kept up which includes new front wheel cylinders, master cylinder and front brake hoses. Carburetor was cleaned with the additions of new gaskets and internal parts. Cruise cool with new air conditioning that was upgraded with a present day compressor, new hoses and expansion valve. All fluids and filters have been replaced too. More of a living room find than a barn find, but a find none the less. With early 70’s pickup trucks current scarcity this 1970 GMC C-1500 Custom Pickup isn’t for the penurious but rather the educated contrarian. But watch your review mirror, one of those TV shows and their camera crew may try to stop you and pry this one from your garage. Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this super awesome sleeper 1969 GMC 1500. Between the clean look and the aggressive powertrain, this is a fun truck. Under the hood of this classic square body is a Weiand supercharged 350 CID V8 engine putting out quite a bit of power. Topping the Weiand blower off is a four-barrel carburetor fitted with an Edelbrock air cleaner. The engine also features Edelbrock valve covers that accent the air cleaner nicely. Sending that boosted power to the rear end is a turbo 350 three-speed automatic transmission that shifts crisply through the gears. Providing cranking power to that big V8 is an Optima Redtop battery for added reliability and power over a traditional lead-acid battery. Sending the exhaust gasses to the rear of the vehicle are stainless steel headers. When it comes time to stop this big truck, the driver will appreciate the power brakes. Moving outward, the truck maintains the sleeper look with original styling. The body is finished in an olive-green paint that is in decent condition. The chrome bumpers and appropriate trim are in good condition also. Supporting each corner of this large truck are steel wheels with polished accents. The bed is covered by a white vinyl cover that is in good condition. Wrapped around those wheels are Firehawk tires with white lettering and good tread life left in them. Upon entering the vehicle, the driver will notice the two-tone green finish. The bench seat is finished in dark green vinyl and is in good condition. Providing comfortable and easy maneuverability is power steering. Overall the truck maintains a very minimalistic feel with some basic amenities and an awesome powertrain. What better way to drive in style than a freshly rebuilt GM pick up truck!? This 1972 GMC 1500 has been thoroughly gone through and is ready to be driven and enjoyed. Under the hood sits a 350 cubic inch small block Chevrolet with some performance modifications including a polished aluminum intake and headers for better flow. When you first pop the hood, you will first notice how well it shows. The chrome air cleaner, alternator, and polished valve covers contrast nicely against the black paint. As you jump in the freshly reupholstered interior and get behind the steering wheel you will be amazed out how roomy and bright the interior feels with the added sunroof which also provides additional air flow when popped open. A simple turn of the key the 350 comes to life in a hurry a purrs along nicely! Once you start to cruise it gets even better with the power brakes and power steering it is a breeze to drive. The aftermarket AM/FM radio looks like it belongs in the truck and when you crank it up you will be amazed at the sound quality! This 1972 GMC 1500 is an excellent option for someone looking for a classic pick up truck to enjoy on a weekend cruise, take down to the local drive in, or maybe even to a local show! Now Featured in our Denver showroom is this stunning low mile 1992 GMC Typhoon with just over 10,000 miles since new! The Typhoon was one of the first of its breed with an auto manufacturer deciding to make a performance vehicle out of an SUV and had a short life span from 1991-1993. Powering these trucks was a 4.3L turbocharged V6 pumping out a strong 280HP from the factory and delivered it to all four wheels! The Typhoon has been a bit of a lost gem until recently and has started to become a very popular vehicle for collectors and enthusiasts everywhere. This Typhoon has been very well kept over the years and has only had two owners since new. The red paint still looks like it did on the showroom floor and very few were built in this color. Getting behind the wheel of this GMC, you would hardly guess what it is capable of. It all becomes very clear once you start cruise though and lay your foot into the throttle! The all wheel drive hooks up hard and presses you back in your seat with authority. This unassuming pickup will surprise most of the cars it passes and will do so in style and comfort! This Typhoon has been well maintained over the years and would make an excellent investment piece or toy to take out on nice weekends. No matter what your plans are with this Typhoon it will not disappoint! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1992 GMC Typhoon in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com.
