1929 Ford Model A

Engine: 331 Hemi V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 1,500 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to present this 1929 Ford Model A “Rat Rod” for sale in our Indianapolis Showroom. “Rat Rod” is: a semi-restored Hot Rod that is intentionally left with the appearance of being incomplete. The Rat Rod is created of the thought of awaking a (pre-WW II) vehicle from the dead and embracing its natural form of deterioration, rust and all, while the Hot Rod is immaculately restored and customized for high performance. Rat Rods grow old gracefully while Hot Rods go under expensive cosmetic procedures to appear like new. Rat Rods are daily drivers better left unwashed, while Hot Rods only come out to play in shows and require the high maintenance of wax and polish. This Model A Rat Rod has made it way from Arizona to Indiana. The frame is 1929 Model A, it has been boxed in critical areas for extra strength. The roof of the cab is from a 1963 Chevrolet Corvair. The front grill is from a 1947 Studebaker Grill. The dual Stromberg carburetors are dressed out with a 1958 Cadillac air cleaner. The Strombergs feed a 1953 331 CID Chrysler Hemi V8. No fancy chrome here, just an old set of stamped steel Chrysler Hemi valve covers with just the right amount of patina. Zoomy style headers take care of the exhaust fumes, check out the super kewl flappers that have been added. The body has been dressed with just the right amount of patina that can only come from years of being in the Arizona climate. If you ready to hit a “Beatersville” event and fit right in call us before this rusto-rod fly’s out of here. Options for this 1929 Ford Model A “Rat Rod” include; No Radio with, Cloth/Steel Interior, Seat Belts and Steel Wheels wrapped in Bias Play Wide White Tires. 1929 Ford Model A Coupe

1929 Ford Model A Coupe

Engine: 302 CID FI SBF
Transmission: Five Speed Manual
Mileage: 96 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to offer this one-of-a-kind, pro-built 1929 Ford Model A coupe street rod for sale right now in our Arizona showroom. This beautiful coupe has a ton of subtle (and not so subtle) body mods to separate it from all of the other A street rods seen all over at cruise nights and car shows. Here are some of them that will ensure you that if this is your car, you probably won't see another one like it... a steel sub-structure replaces all of the original wood, chopped and filled top, shaved door and trunk handles, a custom hood, molded-in front visor, shaved rain gutters, widened steel rear fenders, relocated fuel tank and filler door; all covered in a delicious shade of dark root beer metallic. Inside the tan leather interior (and matching finished trunk) you'll find a tilt column, power locks and windows, air conditioning, and a GPS-activated speedometer, so you'll always have an accurate speed reading. Under the hood is where this car really shines...a Boss 302 clone engine puts all of the horsepower into a Tremec five speed maual tranny into a 9" Ford rear axle housing 3.73 gearing. The TCI chassis is a huge improvement over what Henry had "back in the day" with its Mustang II style IFS set-up and four wheel disc brakes bring this little A down to zero in a flash. This street rod coupe is ready to go. All it needs is a new owner. Is that you? Don't miss this awesome 1929 Ford Model A coupe for sale right now in our facility. For more information or to schedule an appointment to view this vehicle in person, please call the Scottsdale showroom at 623-900-4884 or email us directly at scottsdale@gatewayclassiccars.com.

1931 Ford Model A

1931 Ford Model A

Engine: 201 CiD 4-cyl OHV
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 12,004 ( undocumented )

This partially restored, sharp looking 1931 Ford Model A Sedan is for sale in our Houston Showroom. Enjoy getting looks at shows and being in parades with this beautiful Model A. To some at the time, it likely seemed impossible for Henry Ford to follow up the commercial success of the Model T. However, he would immediately hit another home run with the Model A. But, while the Model T was produced for the explicit purpose of making the motorcar accessible to everyone, the Model A would be Ford's attempt at combining mass production with exclusivity. The Model A would be an absolute hit with the public. The marriage of aesthetics and mass production has seemed to work as one million examples would be built by February of 1929. By July, just a few months later, production would top two million. Ultimately, by the time the Model A became superseded by the Model B and production ended in early 1932, nearly five million Model As would roll off the Ford assembly lines. This nice looking Ford is powered by a 201 CiD inline 4 cylinder engine backed by a 3 speed manual transmission. This all-steel original car has one very handy "modernization": its electrical system has been converted from the original 6-volt system to a modern 12-volt system, making it much easier to enjoy tooling around in. The exterior on this all-metal Ford Model A is a nice matte black with buckskin brown accents and soft top. The Model A rolls on a set of original steel wire wheels painted in a brown color (that matches its buckskin brown top and interior) and are wrapped by black wall bias ply tires. The seating surfaces are covered by a freshly-installed Buckskin Brown vinyl tan. The interior has been fully restored back to the original look. The car has its original engine & trans in the car that is came with in 1931. The owner also put a new carburetor & a new alternator. Everything on the car works! This car has no rust on it and is a true survivor car that is all metal with no body filler. Options on this beautiful Model A are vinyl interior, roll-away vinyl soft top, a custom LED light strip under the dash (for the courtesy lighting), and bias ply tires. It looks great and runs just as good! The 4-cylinder engine and manual transmission still power this Model A down the road and a lot of new parts keep it running right. 1965 Ford Mustang

1965 Ford Mustang

Engine: 302 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 2,694 ( since rebuilt )

With just under 2,700 miles on a fresh rebuild this tastefully modified 1965 Mustang is ready to hit the road and cruise! Setting this Mustang apart from rest of the crowd is a custom Shelby style front end and hood, American Racing Torque Thrust wheels, and lowered stance that really set off the performance feel. Giving it the lowered stance and helping it to out corner its stock counterpart is a set of TCP adjustable coil overs upfront and newer lower leaf springs in the rear. Also helping it to corner is the Flaming River power rack and pinion cradle that was a huge improvement from the factory equipment. The remanufactured 302 cubic inch V8 sitting under the hood has been tuned up to give it that extra power it needed. Modifications include the Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and 4-barrell carburetor, a mild cam giving it a healthy choppy idle, and a set of Hedman long-tube headers flowing through a full Flowmaster exhaust system. Backing up that small block Ford engine is a built up C4 automatic transmission that shifts crisply between gears. Helping to add to the reliability of this Mustang, it was completely rewired using an American Autowire Mustang harness and an aluminum radiator was installed along with an electric fan to keep it cool. This Mustang has been well sorted out and has a great deal of classy touches throughout. If you are looking for a turn key classic Mustang that can be shown and still driven without worry this is an excellent choice! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1965 Ford Mustang in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com.
