For sale is a 1973 Plymouth Barracuda Pro-Touring Restomod located in our Indianapolis Showroom. This incredible '73 Cuda is coming off a recent 3 year long rotisserie build and will sure to impress not only at the car show but on the street as well. The exterior and frame are painted in a shimmering DuPont High Hue "Amethyst Reflection" paint that shows close to the ever popular Mopar Plum Crazy Purple color. The exterior is also sporting the front gills and rear tail panel from the 1971 Barracuda model and custom Billboard Stripes that hint to what is lurking under the hood. Under the hood is a venomous 2008 Gen IV 8.4 Liter Viper V10 Engine that will be dropping jaws when you pop the hood. The engine was sourced with only 600 miles on it and is equipped with Variable Valve Timing, Dual Drive By Wire Throttle Bodies, and a Mopar Performance ECU and is putting out over 600 Horsepower! The V10 Viper engine is mated to a Tremec T6060 six speed manual transmission and is running to a Dana 44 rear end with 3.45 gears. All that power is great but if you can't stop or take corners it really defeats the purpose of a pro-touring car, which is why upgraded suspension and brake components were addressed. Up front is a an "Altercation" front coil over suspension setup with power rack and pinion steering and a heavy duty sway bar. The brake system is being handled by a "Hydratech" hydraulic assisted power brake system with Wilwood brake calipers clamping down on drilled and slotted rotors. Out back is a Dana 44 rear end which many will argue is the best of the best. The Independent Rear Suspension setup was sourced from a Corvette that is equipped with coil over shocks and disc brakes. The mean stance on this Cuda is helped out by a nice set of 17" Ion Aluminum Alloy wheels on four corners wrapped in radial tires measuring 225/45/17 in the front and 255/55/17 in the rear. Comfort and modern interior features are also key to creating an enjoyable experience behind the wheel of a restomod of this caliber. The interior is nicely done with front Procar bucket seats and a custom rear bench to match both done in white vinyl. A custom center console was fitted in between the front seats that houses a Kenwood AM/FM radio with CD player and Navigation, along with a custom tach, and cup holder. The factory dash is outfitted with a GPS Speedometer, a set of Autometer gauges, Tilt Column, and controls for the "Vintage Air" air conditioning system that will keep you as cool as this '73 Cuda is. Options on this 1973 Plymouth Barracuda for sale include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with CD Player and Navigation, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Aluminum Alloy Wheels, and Performance Radial Tires. This 1973 Plymouth Barracuda for sale is located in our Indianapolis Showroom and can be seen in greater detail, including an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Engine: 572 CID HEMI V8Transmission: 5-Speed ManualMileage: 1,022 ( since rebuilt )
Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this one-of-a-kind Hemi Orange 1971 Plymouth ‘Cuda. Fresh out of a 3-year restoration, with parts accumulated as far back as the beginnings of its owner's planning stages 8 years ago, this car is a complete nut-and-bolt build. Under the hood is one beastly Elephant. Starting with a fresh Indy Cylinder Head-built 770HP 572 CID Hemi, built from a World Iron Hemi block with 4.5 x 4.5 bore and stroke, stuffed with top-of-the line Diamond 10.75:1 pistons atop forged Eagle 7.1/2.2 H-Beam rods, connected to a Forged Eagle crankshaft, and topped with a set of 426-S/R Aluminum Hemi Heads sporting 2.25 intake and 1.94 exhaust valves, this thing will wrinkle pavement. Chrome Moly retainers with 7-degree locks keep the valvetrain in check under the MP Roller Rocker Arms (1.57 and 1.52 intake-exhaust ratios, respectively). A Comp Cams .574/.551 cam with 242/248 duration and a 110-degree lobe center provides tons of torque through the powerband, and a very healthy lope. Indy Cylinder Head cast valve covers with custom "572" engraving fitted with Keith Black breathers, and a Mopar Performance dual-plane single 4bbl intake with an 850 CFM Mighty Demon Carb with mechanical secondaries sit atop the massive mill, while a Milodon 30930 8-quart deep sump oil pan complete with windage tray keeps the vital Brad Penn oil ready to flow foam-free throughout the crankcase. An MSD Pro Billet distributor and MSD coil send MSD 6AL-boosted spark to each cylinder through ICH Fire Core plug wires, ensuring complete and massive fuel ignition. A custom heavy duty hydraulic clutch grabs the billet steel flywheel, which is housed in a titanium bellhousing mated to a specially-built Tremec TKO 600 5-speed manual transmission, sending the twist out back via a special HD Dom steel driveshaft to the Strange Engineering-built Dana 60 rear end with 3.54:1 gears and limited slip differential. An LPW Racing aluminum differential cover (rear-end girdle) keeps things where they should be in the third member and helps maximize gear life and performance. Slip inside into the pilot seat, and you'll feel like you were back in 1971, only better! An all new interior, complete with new door panels, carpet, etc.; along with new leather seating all around (done by Legendary Leather), fills your nostrils with the scent of fine hides and "new car"...until you fire it up...but, we'll get to that part in a minute...Gaze at the new dash, filled with NOS gauges behind the vintage 'Cuda steering wheel on the adjustable steering column, and you'll note that this baby has only a tick over 1000 miles on it. Let your right hand slip down to the pistol grip shift knob atop the Hurst Competition Plus short-throw shifter, and you'll be itchin' to fire it up, with your anticipation going into overdrive about hearing this beast come to life. Go ahead, twist the key in the ignition, and IT'S ALIVE! The mighty Elephant roars to life, and quickly settles to a lopey burble. You'll practically feel the spent fossils exiting the exhaust ports into the custom TTI Ceramic-coated headers (coated both internally and externally), as the gigantic 2 1/8" primaries suck the gases from the engine into the full 3" stainless dual exhaust system, exiting from the "through the valance" exhaust tips out back. While you're anticipating the carnage you're going to wreak on the massive 295/50R15 BFG Radial TA tires (on new vintage 15"x10" 'Cuda wheels) out back, tune in your favorite station on the 'Cuda radio (a new Antique Auto Radio head unit), switch on the GEN IV Vintage A/C to max cool (because YOU are now "Max Cool" in this gnarly ride), depress the clutch and slip it into first of the five gears you're getting ready to grab, and BOOM - you're off! As you hit the asphalt, you'll feel how well the car handles, with its special rate springs and QA1 shocks at each corner. Adding to the improved driving feel from the shocks and springs, are the tubular control arms with all new bushings, sway bars, upper and lower ball joints, tie rods, pitman arm, and new steering gear box (by Firm Feel), all contributing to making this car drive with a smooth and tight feel. If you launch hard, you'll feel how well the fully-welded subframes and Caltracs traction bars keep the power down and the body straight. If you decide to explore the velocity limits of this mighty Hemi Orange 'Cuda, you'll be glad to know you have a full Wilwood 4-wheel disc brake system, complete with Hydra-boost, to haul you down quickly and fade-free. While the Vintage A/C keeps you cool, the massive HD Racing aluminum radiator and twin electric fans do their part to help the HD aluminum water pump moving cooler coolant through the mighty 572, making for a trouble-free drive. Its black-powder-coated serpentine pulley system keeps things tidy in the engine bay and provides greater precision in belt alignment and more uniform operation of pulley-driven accessories. Options on this '71 Hemi 'Cuda for sale include: AM/FM Stereo Radio, Air Conditioning, Custom Leather Interior, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Tilt Steering Wheel. Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to offer super nice 1967 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible. The second-generation Barracuda, now a 108 in wheelbase A-body, still shared many components with the Valiant but was stylishly redesigned with model-specific sheet metal, and a convertible and hardtop coupe joining the original fastback offering. In 1967, while the 225 cu in slant-6 was still the base engine, the V8 options ranged from the two- and four-barrel versions of the 273 cu in to a seldom-ordered 383 cu in "B" big-block, rated at 280 bhp which was only available only with the Formula S package. Now just imagine if a 440 V-8 were available in 1967? Why it would have ran circles around the other pony cars. With a little thought and work the 440 V-8 fit right in there. It even looks like its from the factory. Backing the rebuilt 440 is a new automatic transmission that only has about 500 miles on it. To bring this healthy big cubic inch 440 back down to a halt, disc brakes have been added to the front. All the work to this car has been done in the last 2-3 years by Snake Pit Customs of Indianapolis, Indiana. If you’re looking for a fun summer time cruiser, that can burn tires at the push of the pedal, then look no further. This Cuda will be sure to impress your friends! Options for this 1967 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible include; AM/FM radio with CD player, power steering, power convertible top, seat belts and Aluminum wheels wrapped in radial tires. Now's your chance to own a fun 1967 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible for sale! On the way to the show you can arrive in cool comfort as the “Formula S” package made Factory air conditioning and disc brakes available, which this Cuda for sale has both. For sale in our Dallas Fort Worth showroom is a second generation Plymouth Barracuda from 1967. The second-generation Barracuda, still shared many components with the Valiant but was stylishly redesigned with model-specific sheet metal, and a convertible and hardtop coupe joining the original fastback offering. The new Barracuda was chiefly the work of John E. Herlitz and John Samsen, with Coke-bottle side contours and heavily revised front and rear ends. Design cues included a concave rear deck panel, wider wheel openings, curved side glass, and S-curved roof pillars on the hardtop. Some points of interest with the 1967 Cudas were that the front and rear bumpers were identical. They have the same license plate indent and mounting bracket. The rear portion of the roof on the fastback coupe was more streamlined, and the back glass, raked at a substantially horizontal angle, was much smaller compared with that of the previous model. Also, the use of chrome trim on the external sheet metal was more restrained. In 1967, while the 225 cu in (3.7 L) slant-6 was still the base engine, the V8 options ranged from the two- and four-barrel versions of the 273 cu in (4.5 L) to a seldom-ordered 383 cu in (6.3 L) "B" big-block, rated at 280 bhp (210 kW), the latter available only with the Formula S package. This Barracuda comes with a rebuilt 225 slant-6 and a 4 speed automatic transmission.
