With the emerging and growing market of the pony cars, the SCCA created a race series in 1966. Ford conquered the series taking manufacturing wins with their potent Carroll Shelby tuned Mustangs. Chevrolet came into play in 1967 with the Camaro. Chevy engineered a new motor, a 302 cubic inch V8. This high rpm small block produced plenty of power, however they were prone to blowing out. This ’68 Camaro Z28 has only had 2 owners. No expense was spared with is frame off nut and bolt restoration. This Z28 comes with full documentation since it came off the assembly line. It’s a car that needs to be seen to be believed. The paint on the car is less than 2 years old and look amazing at any angle.

For sale in our Nashville showroom is a 1968 Camaro pro street BEAST! This 1968 Pro Street Caramo is loaded with just about every go fast part you can imagine, even a brand new set of tires fron and rear to go with it. Under the Glasstek hood and between the glasstek fenders sits an evil 572 Cubic inch Big block Chevy that gulps down alcohol through a Ron’s terminator injection system that is rated at 1475 cubic feet per minute. The air and fuel then flow to the pro filer rectangular aluminum heads into the Merlin block where this mixture is compressed to 14 to 1. This bad boy has way too many high tech parts to list everything, let’s just say it’s very quick. Now, what good would all this horsepower be if you had no way to plant it to the ground? Ok, here we go. This beast of a ride has been back halfed using R.J. race cars four link with pro stock bars connecting it to the Strange center section housing 4.56 final gears. The final gears then send this massive power to the wheels via Strange engineering 35 spline axles that are connected to the wrinkle wall drag slick with 5/8 inch studs. Between the torque monster under the hood and the strange engineering axles is the workhorse powerglide 2 speed transmission which houses a nine and a half inch, 4500 stahl converter which allows the engine to get deep into the power curve. I have pages of performance parts that have been shoehorned into this lighted ’68 Camaro for sale. I can tell you it all equals QUICK! For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro. This is without question one absolutely gorgeous '69 Camaro! There isn't much that wasn't customized, and it shows. It’s easy to throw a ton of aftermarket parts on a car. This took some serious time and attention to detail. Let’s start with the obvious first. Painted in a beautiful shade of red with white stripes or a gorgeous white leather interior and riding on a set of custom Billet Specialties aluminum wheels. This isn't just a nice paint job though. The front bumper is a narrowed and reshaped 1969 Camaro bumper mounted with custom brackets. The lower valance has a lower grill opening with a stainless steel grill, the upper grill opening has been smoothed and features driving lights/ turn signals from a ’69 Camaro. The lower air dam and fender extensions are a one off from molded fiberglass. The upper grill opening is smoothed and recessed to accommodate quad headlights from a 1970 Oldsmobile and a hand fabricated stainless grill with a relocated hood release. The hood features a steel cowl induction that was welded from underneath and smoothed all around. The front fenders have lower extensions molded ahead and behind the wheel opening and smoothed. All the inner front panels and support systems were smoothed, relocated and painted to match the body. The doors were also smoothed and utilize 2003 GM latch and handle systems for a clean appearance. The side rocker panels were extended the full length to give an even and finished look to the bottom edges. The rear quarters, you guessed it, smoothed with the rear side lights removed and the ends of the rear spoiler molded in place. The rear decklid is similar and features an original spoiler that was reshaped and molded in place. The rear body panel has reversed tail lamps fabricated from a ’69 Camaro and a welded in pop up gas cap. The rear bumper is also a 1969 unit that has been trimmed to fit. All the painted surfaces are PPG base coat clear coat Super Red with Silver Pearl. Once you raise the hood, you’ll see another cowl induction unit that is functional and removable. Lurking beneath this work of art is a very well built 468 Big Block that balanced and blue printed utilizing a solid roller camshaft and 10.5:1 compression. Other notable engine details include aluminum small chamber rectangular port cylinder heads with 2.19 intake and 1.88 exhaust valves, .620 lift camshaft, single plane intake manifold topped by a 830 CFM carburetor and aluminum accessories and pullies. Big blocks have a reputation for running hot, that can be easily addressed and was with this build thanks to a HD aluminum radiator and dual electric fans set up to cool 650 horsepower. The music this engine makes is the result of ceramic coated headers flowing through a set of custom stainless steel pipes and mufflers. Transferring this beautiful power plant to the ground is a 2005 Dodge Viper 6-speed, heavy duty clutch converted to hydraulic actuation and finally to a 12 bolt rear end housing a set of 4.10 posi traction gears. Slowing things down is a breeze thanks to four wheel disc brakes. Even though this car is presumed to strictly be a show car, it will do what you ask of it. The suspension and chassis were not missed. The front suspension has been heavily modified and includes shaved side rails and cross member, new tubular control arms, coil over shocks, a quick ratio steering box, heavy duty sway bar and dropped spindles for the aggressive ride height. All parts are painted in a gloss red and silver urethane finish. The underside has all new floors, unibody subframe connectors and additional braces for a more rigid chassis. The rear suspension and undercarriage are also heavily modified. Wheel tubs moved inboard two inches, shocks relocated, springs lowered and moved inboard, traction bars installed, new bearings and seals. Other modifications include a new fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel pump, relocated battery(trunk), stainless steal lines and fasteners throughout. Altered oil pan, steering linkage, transmission mount and tunnel. The last area to cover and one of our favorites, the interior. The all white interior is very easy on the eyes and just feels fresh. The guys over at Recovery Room Hot Rod interiors did an amazing job. Hats off to these guys! Custom is the theme here as is the rest of the build. Custom white leather on most surfaces, new easy to read instruments for the custom dash, a tilt steering column, Sony CD player, custom rear deck with speakers, hand brake replacing the old foot actuated parking brake, custom center console that houses power windows switches, electronic fuel pump switch and the battery cut off. The popularity and demand for the first-generation Camaro re-emerged after Chevy borrowed heavily from it in their fifth-generation redesign. Now complete, the ’67 is a virtually new classic muscle car whose sweet sound and beauty will turn heads everywhere she rolls. Driving the car is the ultimate pure muscle car experience. The powerful deep exhaust and thumping cam are music to the knowing and adrenalin goes off of the charts as over 500 screaming horses are turned loose. The exterior is a fresh Burgundy Dupont urethane metal flake paint with wide silver stripes. Almost every exterior part is new, including; all chrome, labels and emblems, 225/40 front and 265/45 rear and 17” American Racing magnum Thrust Rims, front and rear spoilers, gas tank, side marker lights, Flow Master exhaust, four-way disc brakes, brake lines, shocks, door gaskets and window felt, front and rear sway bars, traction bars 2” Hodgkin’s drop kit in front, 3” drop in the rear, and frame connectors. This bad to the bone Camaro has the famous 454 BIG BLOCK v8 with a Muncie M21 4 speed with HURST Competition plus Shifter. The gear is a “streetable” 308. The fresh build includes a performance Cam, forged pop up pistons, Eaton SS valves, crankshaft, and high rise Edlebrock aluminum intake. This motor has a Holley 780 Carb, XL ignition, stainless big tube headers and a performance vibration damper. The radiator is a new aluminum high flow and a new vintage Air system have been installed. The engine compartment is immaculate. All hoses, wires, and belts are new. The engine mounts and body bushings are all freshly installed and new as well. The big and mighty chromed out Bug Block is a show stopper. Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this gorgeous 1960 Chevrolet Impala! This is no ordinary Impala. This is a true survivor car. The 283 CID V8 engine is the original that was put in the car in the factory when it was being put together. Covering only 18,176 miles since it first drove off the showroom floor all those years ago. Amazingly, the paint on this car has the original undercoat on it! Even the original AM radio in the car works as it should. This is part of a two-model-year run for the second generation of the much-loved Impala. The 1959 Chevrolet Impala was redesigned. Sharing bodyshells with lower-end Buicks and Oldsmobiles as well as with Pontiac, part of a GM economy move, the Chevrolet's wheelbase was 1-1/2 inches longer. Using a new X-frame chassis, the roof line was three inches lower, bodies were two inches wider, and curb weight increased. Its tailfins protruded outward, rather than upward. The taillights were a large "teardrop" design at each side, and two slim-wide nonfunctional front air intake scoops were added just above the grille, The Impala became a separate series, adding a four-door hardtop and four-door sedan, to the two-door Sport Coupe and convertible. Sport Coupes featured a shortened roof line and wrap-over back window. Standard were front and rear armrests, an electric clock, dual sliding sun visors, and crank-operated front vent windows. A contoured hooded instrument panel held deep-set gauges. A six-way power seat was a new option, as was "Speed minder", for the driver to set a needle at a specific speed and a buzzer would sound if the pre-set was exceeded. The 1960 Impala models reinstated three round taillights on each side, and a white band running along the rear fenders. Anyone looking at the pictures and video of this beautiful machine can clearly see why it’s a great buy. The design is timeless. Don’t wait until it’s gone to inquire. For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a red over red 1969 Chevrolet Impala Convertible. This 69’ Impala was originally outfitted with a 327 CID V8. She is now powered by a 350 CID V8 engine with Trick Flow aluminum heads, roller rockers, a comp cam, an Edelbrock aluminum intake, Summit chrome air cleaner, chrome valve covers, and a Holley 670 CFM Street Avenger carburetor. An aluminum radiator is in charge of keeping the engine cool on hot cruising days. The TH-350 automatic transmission with a transmission cooler and B&M torque converter transfers the power to the 12 bolt rear end with 3.08 gears. The red exterior paint was applied in 2011 and shows well. The white vinyl top was also replaced the same year along with a new hydraulic pump and motor. The red vinyl interior is in good condition, it does show some age, but it is free from major signs of wear. The odometer reads 60,170, the actual mileage is unknown, and the engine is believed to have approximately 2,000 on it since being rebuilt. Options for this 1969 Chevrolet Impala Convertible include: AM Radio (inoperable), Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, Automatic Convertible Top, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Radial Tires, and Rally Wheels. This is a great example of a classic Chevrolet convertible with a rarely seen red on red color combination.
