Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to present this 1991 GMC Syclone. The Syclone for some crazy reason was only produce for one year. Maybe the Chevrolet boys weren’t too happy that this all-wheel drive beast was faster than the ’91 Corvette in the ¼ mile. The Syclone was the quickest stock pickup truck being produced in the world. Auto magazines compared its acceleration favorably to a variety of sports cars including the Corvette. Featuring a turbocharged 6-cylinder engine, all-wheel drive, and 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, the specifications had more in common with a Porsche than most other pickup trucks. The Syclone truck featured a Mitsubishi TD06-17C 8 cm² turbocharger and Garrett water/air intercooler attached to a 4.3 L LB4 V6 engine with unique pistons, main caps, head gaskets, intake manifolds, fuel system, exhaust manifolds, and a 48mm twin bore throttle body from the 5.7 L GM Small-Block engine. All Syclones had a GM 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. A Borg Warner all wheel drive transfer case split torque with 35% forward and 65% to the rear wheels. The Sycone also featured sport modifications to the standard suspension. The Syclone was the first production truck to receive a 4-wheel anti-lock braking system. Output was 280 hp (209 kW) and 350 lb·ft (475 N·m).[1] The Syclone, when new, was capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds and could do a quarter-mile run in 13.4 seconds at 98 mph (158 km/h) according to Car & Driver's comparison test. In 1991 Syclones were available in black only. 1992 models were to be offered in a wider range of colors before they were canceled. 2995 Syclones were built in 1991, and 3 in 1992. This Syclone is the 4th Syclone produced as evidence by the VIN number with the 5 digits ending in 00004. The owner has recently gone through the Syclone. The 4.3 V6 is the original number matching engine and has been completely rebuilt to factory specs. Options for this 1991 GMC Syclone include; Air Conditioning, AM/FM radio with Cassette Player, Power steering, Power Brakes, Anti-Lock Brakes, Power Door Locks, Power Windows, Tilt Steering Wheel, Seat Belts, Cloth Interior, Aluminum Alloy Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. 1988 GMC S15 Convertible

Engine: 2.5L Inline 4
Transmission: 5 Speed Manual w/OD
Mileage: 40633 ( actual )

This custom 1988 GMC S15 is available in our Louisville KY showroom. The S15 was GMC’s version of the S10 which was a light truck that sold very well from 1983 to 1990. Many of these trucks were used as platforms in the mini truck world, a term used for lowered customized light trucks popular in the early 90’s. This example is a one owner low mileage truck that had a ton of custom work done over the years. Stat with the body and paint, the custom front end gives it a sporty style while making it appear even lower. The paint on the truck is custom and typical of what you would see done in that era. The top was cut off making this little s15 a convertible with its removable hardtop. The wheels on the truck are Dayton’s, the original spoke wheel used on many low riders. The gold spokes are clean and with these being true knock off’s that spinner is not just for looks. Under the custom louvered hood, the original engine still runs great and with it being the 2.5 liter does great on gas. The manual transmission shifts out great with the clutch still having a great feel. Inside the interior has been customized as well with the bucket seats having a velour material making them soft to the touch. The white Grant steering wheel is a great touch with the full size panoramic rear-view mirror really putting an exclamation point on the build. Options on this 1988 GMC S15 include, AM/FM Radio, Cloth Interior, Seat Belts, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Tilt Wheel, and Knock Off Wire Dayton’s with Radial Tires. This 1988 GMC S15 can be seen, including an HD video, at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call at 812-294-1555 or email Louisville@gatewayclassiccars.com for more information.

1983 GMC Caballero

Engine: 3.8L V6 2BL
Transmission: Other
Mileage: 5000 ( since rebuilt )

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this classy 1983 GMC Caballero. It’s often forgotten that GMC made their own version of the well-known El Camino made by Chevrolet. The vehicle was originally names the GMC Sprint but that was changed back in ’78 to the Caballero and it remained in production until 1987. This Caballero is powered by a strong running 350 CID V8 that will push you down the road with ease. The engine is mated to a 3-speed Automatic transmission which both were rebuilt roughly 11 years ago. It may be an older rebuild however the car has only been driven an estimated 5,000 miles since the rebuild, meaning there is plenty of life left in this beauty. The true key to this classic is that it’s a 1 owner car with a clean Carfax. The car is painted in a sleek black and silver color combo that shows very well. The car also features a very nice spray-in bed liner to make for a nice work vehicle if it’s ever needed. This Caballero has all the benefits of both a car and a truck all in one. It’s light weight, fast and looks great while at the same time can be used for a quick trip to Home Depot or Lowes. Taking a seat behind the wheel you will find a matching black on silver color combination making this car truly show worthy. You may notice the empty space for a stereo, but this is simply due to the owner enjoying the sound of the car more. When driving a classic that’s all that there should be, you, the car, and the road. No need to worry because the A/C was left in place and blows nice and cold for those hot summer days. 1986 GMC Sierra Classic 1500

Engine: 5.0L V8 4BL
Transmission: 700R4
Mileage: 5736 ( undocumented )

This 1986 GMC Sierra 1500 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The GMC Sierra has long been known as Chevy’s higher end brother. The recent explosion in these mid 80’s trucks has brought out a lot of low mileage examples and this beauty is no different. With the odometer reading a mere 5650 miles, appearing to be original, this is a great example. The Autocheck does show a discrepancy but that does appear to be a simple clerical issue. The black and tan paint appear to be original with the red pinstriping separating the 2 nicely. The spray in bed liner is a great touch and was just installed a couple years ago. Underneath is really where you being to tell that this actual mileage with it being one of if not the cleanest I have seen. Under the hood is the original 305 that still starts right up without any hesitation. The OD transmission with a set of 3.42 gears the truck can easily handle highway speeds. The auxiliary fuel tank will allow you to take a road trip without having to refuel all day long. Inside the cab is where this sierra sets itself apart with a host of options that will make you feel like you’re in a luxury car. The tan is accented with black bringing the outside in and not something seen on trucks of this year. The cloth on the seat is in excellent shape and what is to be expected on such a nice truck. With the door panels being in the same condition it hard to believe this truck is 32 years old. If you have been wanting to get your hands on one of these low mileages 80’s examples that has been meticulously taken care this is the best 86 GMC Sierra out there. Options on this 1986 GMC Sierra 1500 include, AC, AM/FM, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Power Locks, Tilt Wheel, Cruise Control, Seat Belts, Cloth Interior, and Rally Wheels with Radial Tires.
