Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 1953 Ford Customline. This vehicle is equipped with an all original cloth interior, am radio, seatbelts, white wall tires, as well as being a numbers matching vehicle “per owner statement”.

The beginning of this line began in 1952, when the Ford Motor Company did a restructuring of their all new vehicle line that began in 1949. The Customline was the mid-level car, the peddles have now become suspended from below the dash. A voltmeter, gas gauge, temp gauge, and oil pressure were standard. The clock and radio were positioned in the center of the dash, and the grille now sported a single center Bullet flanked by vertical black stripes. The radio preset buttons were even preset to local stations by your local ford dealer as a special yet unusual service. This vehicle is equipped with the long lived and famous Ford Flathead V8 coming in at 239 CID or 3.9L. This vehicle has been well taken care of and started its life In Louisville, Kentucky where it rolled off the assembly line on September 3, 1952. This car was restored in 2011, where it received full engine and transmission rebuild. During the vehicles restoration it was noted that the panels did not need to be replaced or patched so underneath its gorgeous black paint are its original and untouched panels. The all original interior compliments the exterior and speaks highly to the care the vehicle has seen through out its life. This car is not only breath taking, it is also a pleasure to take our and cruise down the road to your local cruise in.

Engine: 292 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 72,566 ( undocumented )

Thank you for your interest in this sharp 1955 Ford Thunderbird presented by Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa. One of the most beautiful pieces of Americana, they were considered to be direct competition to the Chevrolet Corvette. Helping spawn a new generation of automobiles in the United States, and aimed to take on the European market, the Ford Thunderbird was powered by a 292 CID V8, which gave the already smaller, lighter car the power it needed to make for both an excellent road racer as well as the perfect car for older couples to sit back and enjoy a movie at the drive-in. Mated to the engine is a 2-speed automatic transmission, which allowed the car for fairly smooth shifting, but in the higher gear allowed the vehicle to cruise at highway speeds without drinking too much gas. The interior of this car is a beautiful red and white two tone seating, with red carpets throughout. The hard-top is painted in white to give the car a two-tone look. Take the top off to enjoy the beautiful weather in absolute style! The exterior is painted to match the interior, with a stunning bright red paint job with a new black top that really gives the car a high quality 1950's kind of feel. Driving a 1955 Ford Thunderbird is truly an experience one simply cannot explain, these cars are the truest form of Americana one can find. Options include AM Radio, Hub Caps, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Wide White Walls, Wire Wheels, Power Steering, Power Brakes and Power seat. This particular “Baby Bird” with a VIN ending in #178 is believed to be first day of production. This Thunderbird has received a stunning frame off restoration after twenty-five years in storage with only five hundred miles since. Featuring the standard 292 Y-block engine and Fordomatic two speed automatic transmission this was a cruiser special. Not built as a high-performance car, the personal luxury first-generation Thunderbirds were loved and adored by Hollywood and the well-heeled including the enigmatic Marylyn Monroe photographed in a black Thunderbird very similar to the offering here. 1954 Ford F100

1954 Ford F100

Engine: 468 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 3,826 ( since rebuilt )

Now for sale at our Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom is this beautiful and mean supercharged pro-street 1954 Ford F100. The monster 468 CID V8 engine with its giant blower is neatly engineered to fit under the tilt hood, providing for a very inconspicuous look…if you can get around the flames on the hood, that is. The door handles have been shaved for a sleeker and more simplified look. The custom flame paint job on the truck looks great from any distance. Definitely a talking point from a cosmetic stand point. The truck has undergone many modifications, increasing power dramatically. However, components like suspension and brakes have not been overlooked. You will notice the beefy brakes (which stop the truck with excellent power) and the 4-link suspension setup. Even with the power level that this truck is at, it stays straight and true under heavy acceleration. The sound is amazing from this truck. The custom exhaust setup, along with the whine of the supercharger, definitely puts a big smile on your face. This truck is no slouch but it it’s a lot tamer than you may thing for road usage. The current owner has driven long distances with no fusses. The 3-speed transmission is geared so that you can cruise on the highway without overrevving the engine. Even with the modifications, the truck stays cool in the Texas heat. The wooden bed is in great condition and the custom vinyl interior is a comfy place to be. It even has power windows! Other upgrades include racing aluminum alloy wheels, posi-traction, tilt wheel and new Mickey Thompson tires. The Ford F-Series was redesigned by Ford for 1953 with a more integrated look. The pickups also obtained their widely familiar names: The F-1 now became the F-100, the F-2 and F-3 now became the F-250, and the F-4 now became the 1-ton F-350. Optional interior amenities were new, including a dome light, lighter, arm rests, sun visors and a radio.
