Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a one of a kind 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1. Sold new on August 28th 1973 in Niagara Falls, New York; this Mach 1 has been lovingly maintained and cared for since. Right off the bat, the car as taken to Armor Guard to be Rust Guard treated. The sticker still remains on the window, and clearly the product did its job as the car is incredibly solid. From then on, the stewards whom owned the vehicle were fanatical about keeping maintenance records, and documentation throughout the car’s life. From oil change invoices, to original Dealership paperwork, almost all of it has remained with the car. With this paper trail, we know the car made it’s way from New York to South Carolina, and then eventually to Illinois. The car is a Mach 1 with it’s original 351 Cleveland under the hood, and a C6 transmission and 9” rear end. It is a well optioned car with bucket seats, factory stripes, factory tachometer, factory AM radio, and even a period style aftermarket FM converter. For the music buff, it also has a factory 8 track player, so you can jam REO Speedwagon’s Ridin the Storm out, or Elton John’s Crocodile rock on 8 track! Other options include: power steering, power brakes, 3 speed wipers, and cigarette lighter. With a recent visit to the Ford dealership, perished suspension and brake components have been replaced, and the car has been given a clean bill of health. As it sits, it is a wonderful highway cruiser and a joy to display at shows. Whether you’re an experienced Mustang collector, or wishing to enter the collector car hobby, this Mach 1 would be a great choice. In short, you have every reason to inquire further about this 1973 Mach 1 by viewing it in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video of the car running and driving at our website - http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a 2-owner, super low mile 1973 Ford Mustang Convertible. The last year of the first-generation Mustang, 1973, saw several styling changes for the iconic pony car. The front bumper was enlarged to meet new NHTSA standards and was now urethane. The sport lamps were turned into turn signals since the new bumper covered the old turn signal location. A person could also order Mach 1 decals as part of the Exterior Decor Group option. This Mustang has been owned by the same individual for the last 20 years. He received it from his neighbor as a gift! I wish I had a neighbor like that. Powering this 73' Mustang is a 351 CID V8 engine, and a 3-speed automatic transmission transfers the power to the pavement. The engine and transmission are both believed to be original to the car. The odometer reads 32,486, which is believed to be the actual mileage on the car. Options for this 1973 Ford Mustang Convertible include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, Automatic Convertible Top, Hub Caps, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Radial Tires. The red exterior paint was resprayed and looks great. The white vinyl interior is also in good condition and provides a great color combo with the red exterior. Classic hub caps adorn all four tires and provide a great look for this pony convertible. This is a great example of an early 70’s Mustang convertible in great color combination with very low miles. The sixth generation of the Ford F-Series is a line of pickup trucks and medium-duty commercial trucks that were produced by Ford Motor Company from 1973 to 1979. This generation was launched in December 1972 for the 1973 model year. These were the last generation of trucks to use the F-Series chassis introduced in 1965. After a decade as a compact SUV, the Ford Bronco was redesigned as a shortened version of the F-Series. This generation also marks the introduction of the F-150 (introduced in 1975) which today is the most popular model. This generation is noted for the body panels' durability as Ford used extensive amounts of galvanized sheet metal, zinc coated steel, zinc rich primer and fender liners, to fight corrosion. In 1976, the F-Series became the best-selling trucks in America, a position it has continued to retain ever since. Allowing the 40” tall tires to clear the fenders is an 8” lift and all components chrome plated or polished. The paint is a custom pearl acrylic lacquer with pearl ghost flames that really pop in direct sunlight. We are happy to offer this sixth-generation 1973 Ford Ranchero for sale at our Saint Louis Gateway Classic Cars Showroom. BACKGROUND: The Ford Ranchero is a coupe utility that was produced by Ford between 1957 and 1979. Unlike a pickup truck, the Ranchero was adapted from a two-door station wagon platform that integrated the cab and cargo bed into the body. A total of 508,355 units were produced during the model's production run. The 1973 Ranchero had a redesigned front end to meet new federal standards for front impact protection. Aside from slight cosmetic differences, the Ranchero remained basically the same until the Torino's final year, 1976. (source: Wikipedia) This 1973 Ford Ranchero still has the original 351 Cleveland engine that runs very smoothly and emits very low noise. The transmission also shifts between gears without any effort or oddities. What has been repaired or replaced in recent years is the steering wheel, black and gold leather seats to match the body, floor panel, front windshield, rear sliding window to allow for more air-flow, fresh exhaust manifold, U Joints, pitman arm replaced, and new front grill. If you are thinking about the Ford Ranchero, this is definitely one you should consider. It is ready to drive today and priced to sell now. For more detail on this 1973 Ford Ranchero, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis Showroom. Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this show stopping 1956 Ford F100. This truck has gone through a complete overall and ready for it’s next car show, and fully capable of taking home the trophies. As you will notice the rear of this truck shows “Trophy Hunter” which adds some nice appeal, but for those not favoring it, this can be easily removed if you would like. Powering the beauty is a 302 CID V8 that’s been paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission. The truck was built by “Hill’s Hot Rods” out of Lubbock, TX back in 2011 but took over 4 years and claimed to more than $200,000 into the build. The truck also features Doug’s headers, Edlebrock carburetor, and an aluminum Be Cool radiator to ensure proper cooling of the strong running engine. The truck rides smooth with upgraded suspension to include tubular upper and lower control arms, adjustable coil over shocks in the rear, and Bilstein shocks in the front. To give the truck some nice flare, the valve covers, and air cleaner were sprayed in a very nice bronze color. The truck has a very sleek paint job with a 2-tone color combo. The lower layer is a soft cream color that is topped off with a maroon that looks almost like a root beer when shining in the sunlight. This color combo is not seen often and is certainly a head turner. If you are looking for a truck that will let you stand out in a crowd, then this is the one for you. Winning numerous awards through the years to include taking 12th place at Good Guys back in 2011. The truck sits on a nice set of Bonspeed wheels 18” in the front and 20” in the rear. Behind the wheels are SSBC brakes mounted to slotted rotors on all 4 wheels to provide plenty of stopping power. The interior of this truck is far from original and done in a nice lighter brown color. In the center of each section is a nice darker brown patterned material that gives the truck some flare. The interior flows well with the other colors throughout the exterior of the truck and is truly show quality. The panels, and headliner have been customized as well to keep uniformity throughout the vehicle.
