Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to offer this eye-catching 1971 Plymouth Road Runner tribute car. This is a great way to enjoy what appears to be a Road Runner, but using the less expensive Satellite model. Starting with a clean, rust-free Arizona car and the epic 340 block, a trip to the machine shop, the engine got all new aluminum heads, intake, water pump, etc. To top it all off, a Holley three deuce set-up sends the fuel mixture to all eight forged pistons pushing forged CNC rods. Stainless steel headers run the gases through a pair of Magnaflow mufflers. A Champion four-row radiator keeps the engine temp where it needs to be, engine and transmission oil coolers do their jobs well. The 727 tranny houses a 3200 stall converter, sending the power to a 3.56 posi rear axle. The car stops reliably every time thanks to the four wheel disc brake set-up. This car has more power than one can contain under the hood! The custom chrome wheels really set this beauty off perfectly. This gorgeous car gives you looks, attitude, and performance all in one. A perfect street machine that's mild-mannered around town, but when you mash the go pedal, you better hang on.The paint has a few flaws upon close inspection as does some of the chrome, but it's really not noticable. This car pops from every direction you look at it. You can truly be proud to own this one. Don't miss it! Hurry this car will be fast outta here! 1970 Plymouth Barracuda

1970 Plymouth Barracuda

Engine: 432 CID V8
Transmission: 5 Speed Manual
Mileage: 1,435 ( since rebuilt )

This 1970 Plymouth Barracuda started out life as 1 of 602 that were with the HP383 mated to a 4-Speed manual transmission. Starting in 1983 the car had been stored inside keeping it rust free helping it keep the sheet metal all original! Fast forward to 2014 and the start of the rotisserie restoration that left no bolt untouched. Rallye Red paint adorns the smooth panels and has a great buttery gloss to it. There's no denying that this car was built to look fast, a benefit of Chrysler's delay in developing the E-body twins to combat the Camaro and Mustang, and it's probably why the 'Cuda remains a perennial favorite. When the car was ordered it was special ordered with the 3.91 Sure Grip rear end. Also included in the “Cuda” options was the Rallye red paint, elastomeric bumpers front and rear, Rallye mirrors, Rallye bubble hood, Rallye instrument cluster, as well as a Rim-Blow steering wheel. Rounding out the great appeal of this car as it rolls down the road is a set of 18” U.S. Mag alloy wheels wrapped in 255/45R18 radial tires. There is no doubt that this is one of the most desirable muscle cars that the big three has produced and one of the arguably best years it was produced! Opening the dual scooped hood gives you a small peek at some of the modern upgrades that help bring this classic to life. Keeping the stroked 432 cubic inch V8 cool is an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans while pushing 400 horsepower. Feeding the fuel to this Mopar is an MSD Atomic throttle body EFI. Tasked with igniting all of that fuel is a complete MSD ignition system including a 6AL box. Breathing all of the exhaust out of this setup is a set of TTI ceramic headers and full Pypes dual exhaust complete with rectangular exhaust tips. Transferring all of that go fast power to the 8-3/4” rear end is a brand new Tremec 600 Five speed manual transmission rated to handle up to 600 horsepower. While it is a modern transmission it sports the correct pistol grip shifter for the era which no true Mopar of the time should be without. When we said not bolt was left untouched during the restoration we truly ment NO BOLT! When you look under this heart pounding muscle car you’ll find an undercarriage that matches the quality of the exterior. Hotchkis subframe connectors help insure all of that power does not hurt any of the beautiful body work. Tasked with bringing this car to a stop is a set of 4-wheel Willwood disc brakes as well as Hotchkis fully tuned shocks help keep traction while starting or stopping. A complete UniSteer power rack & pinion setup makes steering this car a dream. The look and feel of this black interior is the way this car was ordered and is a great combination of new and original components. The original dash remains intact and restored but now houses a complete set of Dakota digital gauges helping make sure all of the vitals of this car are monitored as accurately as possible. They also reveal that 1,437 miles have been driven since the restoration was completed. One of my personal favorite parts of this Barracuda is the wood rimmed steering wheel that is complete with the “fish” insignia. 1970 Plymouth Road Runner

1970 Plymouth Road Runner

Engine: 426 Hemi
Transmission: 727 Torque Flite
Mileage: 67,628 ( undocumented )

This 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner with a HEMI is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The Roadrunner was introduced in 1968 as MOPAR’s entry level midsize muscle car. For the small charge of 50000 Warner Brothers allowed Plymouth to use not only the Roadrunner image but the classic beep, beep for the horn. This real deal RM21 roadrunner is ready for the street or the show. A frame off restoration was done in 2005 giving this Roadrunner a new lease on life. The original 383 engine was put to the side with a 426/465HP HEMI making this B Body a pavement shredding monster. The MOPAR purple cam gives the HEMI those added ponies and an idle that is unmistakable. The 833 4 speed is original to the car with it being rebuilt to handle all that power. The 8.75 pose rear end has a set of 3.23 gears giving the car a good mix of off the line acceleration and highway cruising. Painted back its original color of light blue metallic except this time using a base coat clear coat giving it a much deeper finish. The N96 Air Grabber hood was an original option on the car and has to be one of the coolest things to be put out by MOPAR. The interior was restored back its original glory with the bucket seat console being a rare option on these cars. The white vinyl is clean and a great contrast against the black dash and carpet. The pistol grip shifter is another one of those classic MOPAR touches and exactly what you would expect in 1970. If you have been wanting to get your hands on one of the most iconic cars of the era this Roadrunner is a great choice. Options on this 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner include; AM Radio, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Custom Wheels with Radial Tires. 1970 Plymouth Road Runner

Engine: 440 Six-Pack V-8 Big Block
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 63,502 ( actual )

We are tremendously proud to offer for sale this first generation 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner. It is available for viewing and inquiry at our Gateway Classic Cars Showroom in Saint Louis. One thing that should really excite you about this Mopar is the recently completed exterior paint job. The high-satin-gloss purple paint with gold stripes makes this Plymouth Roadrunner look strikingly royal. On the passenger-side rear there is a classic Plymouth Road Runner Standing Bird decal. There are just a couple minor imperfections that might withhold it from being truly award-winning show car quality, but for the uninitiated there is nothing pure joy to behold here. Similarly, the interior has been very well-kept, with just a couple things to prove that it is an original. The white vinyl interior is nice and tight and shows extremely little wear. The headliner is clean and doesn't show any stains, tears, or smoke damage. The dash looks original and does not show signs of normal aging or fading from exposure to the sun. Underneath the air-grabber hood is a 440 Six Pack V8 with only 63,502 miles which are believed to be actual to the car. Built from 1967 to 1971, the 440 Six Pack is a high-performance engine that has light wall construction, precision cast-iron block, and iron heads. This Roadrunner is a beast class muscle car that you can immediately enjoy. 1971 Plymouth Barracuda

1971 Plymouth Barracuda

Engine: 572 CID HEMI V8
Transmission: 5-Speed Manual
Mileage: 1,022 ( since rebuilt )

Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this one-of-a-kind Hemi Orange 1971 Plymouth ‘Cuda. Fresh out of a 3-year restoration, with parts accumulated as far back as the beginnings of its owner's planning stages 8 years ago, this car is a complete nut-and-bolt build. Under the hood is one beastly Elephant. Starting with a fresh Indy Cylinder Head-built 770HP 572 CID Hemi, built from a World Iron Hemi block with 4.5 x 4.5 bore and stroke, stuffed with top-of-the line Diamond 10.75:1 pistons atop forged Eagle 7.1/2.2 H-Beam rods, connected to a Forged Eagle crankshaft, and topped with a set of 426-S/R Aluminum Hemi Heads sporting 2.25 intake and 1.94 exhaust valves, this thing will wrinkle pavement. Chrome Moly retainers with 7-degree locks keep the valvetrain in check under the MP Roller Rocker Arms (1.57 and 1.52 intake-exhaust ratios, respectively). A Comp Cams .574/.551 cam with 242/248 duration and a 110-degree lobe center provides tons of torque through the powerband, and a very healthy lope. Indy Cylinder Head cast valve covers with custom "572" engraving fitted with Keith Black breathers, and a Mopar Performance dual-plane single 4bbl intake with an 850 CFM Mighty Demon Carb with mechanical secondaries sit atop the massive mill, while a Milodon 30930 8-quart deep sump oil pan complete with windage tray keeps the vital Brad Penn oil ready to flow foam-free throughout the crankcase. An MSD Pro Billet distributor and MSD coil send MSD 6AL-boosted spark to each cylinder through ICH Fire Core plug wires, ensuring complete and massive fuel ignition. A custom heavy duty hydraulic clutch grabs the billet steel flywheel, which is housed in a titanium bellhousing mated to a specially-built Tremec TKO 600 5-speed manual transmission, sending the twist out back via a special HD Dom steel driveshaft to the Strange Engineering-built Dana 60 rear end with 3.54:1 gears and limited slip differential. An LPW Racing aluminum differential cover (rear-end girdle) keeps things where they should be in the third member and helps maximize gear life and performance. Slip inside into the pilot seat, and you'll feel like you were back in 1971, only better! An all new interior, complete with new door panels, carpet, etc.; along with new leather seating all around (done by Legendary Leather), fills your nostrils with the scent of fine hides and "new car"...until you fire it up...but, we'll get to that part in a minute...Gaze at the new dash, filled with NOS gauges behind the vintage 'Cuda steering wheel on the adjustable steering column, and you'll note that this baby has only a tick over 1000 miles on it. Let your right hand slip down to the pistol grip shift knob atop the Hurst Competition Plus short-throw shifter, and you'll be itchin' to fire it up, with your anticipation going into overdrive about hearing this beast come to life. Go ahead, twist the key in the ignition, and IT'S ALIVE! The mighty Elephant roars to life, and quickly settles to a lopey burble. You'll practically feel the spent fossils exiting the exhaust ports into the custom TTI Ceramic-coated headers (coated both internally and externally), as the gigantic 2 1/8" primaries suck the gases from the engine into the full 3" stainless dual exhaust system, exiting from the "through the valance" exhaust tips out back. While you're anticipating the carnage you're going to wreak on the massive 295/50R15 BFG Radial TA tires (on new vintage 15"x10" 'Cuda wheels) out back, tune in your favorite station on the 'Cuda radio (a new Antique Auto Radio head unit), switch on the GEN IV Vintage A/C to max cool (because YOU are now "Max Cool" in this gnarly ride), depress the clutch and slip it into first of the five gears you're getting ready to grab, and BOOM - you're off! As you hit the asphalt, you'll feel how well the car handles, with its special rate springs and QA1 shocks at each corner. Adding to the improved driving feel from the shocks and springs, are the tubular control arms with all new bushings, sway bars, upper and lower ball joints, tie rods, pitman arm, and new steering gear box (by Firm Feel), all contributing to making this car drive with a smooth and tight feel. If you launch hard, you'll feel how well the fully-welded subframes and Caltracs traction bars keep the power down and the body straight. If you decide to explore the velocity limits of this mighty Hemi Orange 'Cuda, you'll be glad to know you have a full Wilwood 4-wheel disc brake system, complete with Hydra-boost, to haul you down quickly and fade-free. While the Vintage A/C keeps you cool, the massive HD Racing aluminum radiator and twin electric fans do their part to help the HD aluminum water pump moving cooler coolant through the mighty 572, making for a trouble-free drive. Its black-powder-coated serpentine pulley system keeps things tidy in the engine bay and provides greater precision in belt alignment and more uniform operation of pulley-driven accessories. Options on this '71 Hemi 'Cuda for sale include: AM/FM Stereo Radio, Air Conditioning, Custom Leather Interior, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Tilt Steering Wheel. The 1946-1948 Plymouth model line was rushed back to production after the war with little changes made, in an effort to restart production quickly. This one has been updated fantastically! It was restored and customized within the past six years. This gorgeous P15 is outfitted in "Dark Percimmon Metallic" with custom painted ghost flames. With just 4,992 miles on the fresh crate Supercharged 350 Cid V8 engine and 3 speed automatic combination, producing plenty of horse power for this large cruiser. Tis Plymouth has many modifications including: a narrowed grille, frenched headlights, custom tail and parking lamps, shaved door handles and drip rails, hand made front and rear roll pans, custom inner fenders, and custom 20 gallon fuel tank. Other options include: Power doors, windows, trunk, and cowl vent with remote, custom dash, custom headers, power driver seat, and AM/FM radio with CD Player. This classic fat-fender is very comfortable while maintaining a sharp appearance and stance, suitable for a weekend trip or drag down the strip. 1968 Plymouth Barracuda

1968 Plymouth Barracuda

Engine: 383 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 94,873 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Atlanta showroom is a second generation Plymouth Barracuda from 1968. The second-generation Barracuda, still shared many components with the Valiant but was stylishly redesigned with model-specific sheet metal, and a convertible and hardtop coupe joining the original fastback offering. The new Barracuda was chiefly the work of John E. Herlitz and John Samsen, with Coke-bottle side contours and heavily revised front and rear ends. Design cues included a concave rear deck panel, wider wheel openings, curved side glass, and S-curved roof pillars on the hardtop. Some points of interest with the 1968 Cudas were that the front and rear bumpers were identical, the rear portion of the roof on the fastback coupe was more streamlined, and the back glass, raked at a substantially horizontal angle, was much smaller compared with that of the previous model. Also, the use of chrome trim on the external sheet metal was more restrained. In 1968, while the 225 cu in (3.7 L) slant-6 was still the base engine, the V8 options ranged from the two- and four-barrel versions of the 273 cu in (4.5 L) to a seldom-ordered 383 cu in (6.3 L) "B" big-block, rated at 280 bhp (210 kW), the latter available only with the Formula S package. This Barracuda S comes with a Hensler Performance numbers matching rebuilt 383 and a 4 speed transmission,[non numbers matching trans] with just 500-miles on the motor since reinstalled. The dark Green exterior paint is in very good condition, shines brilliantly in the sun and contrasts nicely against the painted steel wheels with dog-dish hub caps. The black vinyl interior appears new and in great condition with only minimal signs of normal wear on the seat belts. The dash also shows no signs of sun fading or cracks. This Barracuda has power steering, and seatbelts. To view this 1968 Plymouth Barracuda in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com.
