Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to offer this fun-loving 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle for sale right now in our Arizona showroom. The Super Beetle was marketed in the United States as the top of the line for the Beetle range and this example for sale certainly lives up to that reputation. This Bug has been recently stripped and repainted at an expense of over $3,000 and shines brightly in its ‘Saturn Yellow’. The jet-black trimming, red racing stripes and powder-coated mag wheels with oversized radial tires make for a stylish touch. Originally, the Super Beetle came with a peppy 1600cc motor but ours has been upgraded even further to a spirited 1915cc tied to a 4-speed short-shift, synchro manual transmission. The engine rebuild was performed just 1000 miles ago and all receipts are included with the car, so the fun with this Bug is just getting started! Inside, you won’t believe you’re in a Volkswagen while you’re sat in the vinyl Recaro seats and fully carpeted floor. This is the kind of car you can enjoy every day as well as impress people at car shows with due to its build quality. This is a very competitive asking price for a car of this quality and it will not last long. Jump on this one today by calling our helpful and knowledgeable sales team in Scottsdale at (623) 900-4884 or by emailing us directly with any inquiries at scottsdale@gatewayclassiccars.com

1974 Volkswagen Beetle

1974 Volkswagen Beetle

Engine:
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 58,158 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Nashville is proud to present this 1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle. The new larger Beetle was labeled the 1302/1302 S. The main purpose of a new larger Beetle was to provide increased luggage capacity, which was increased by nearly 50%. MacPhearson strut suspension was added, similar to what was used in the Type 4, and the front track was also widened. The new suspension layout allowed the spare tire to be positioned flat under the trunk floor, although the car had to be lengthened slightly to accomplish this. This also allowed a reduction in turning radius making the already small platform, even more maneuverable. To gain additional room, the under-dash panel was lowered, allowing the fuel tank to be shifted rearward. From the windscreen back, the Super Beetle was identical to its smaller progenitor, except for having the semi-trailing arm rear suspension as standard equipment. This Beetle comes to us in excellent condition with an incredibly healthy stock engine that propels this bug down the road. This car is so fun to drive. This one is one of a kind. The interior has been upgraded with nicely padded gray high back seats. Equipped with a more modern sound system this beetle not only sounds great but runs with the best of them. This little bug would make a great daily driver! Make it yours today by calling us down at the Nashville showroom at 615-213-1800 or visit us on the web at Nashville@gatewayclassiccars.com

Engine: 1600 CC
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 2,158 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to offer an amazing 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle. This is not your Grandma’s Beetle. This little blue rocket has been completely built from the ground up. The ’73 V-Dub was completely disassembled, stripped to the bare floor pan. The body was reassembled and aligned and coated in a stunning coat of metallic blue. This Bug features its original 1,600cc Dual Port Flat Four. The engine has been completely rebuilt and features tons of new goodies. It breathes in through a new Bocar one barrel carburetor, and is equipped with a Bosch coil as well as Bosch wires. The engine is dressed in chrome for a show car finish when you pop the bonnet. The exhaust is just rowdy enough and resonates the distinct VW flat four sound. Perhaps the most impressive part of the whole car is the underside. The pans are painted, and the undercarriage is a clear indicator of the time spent rebuilding this Beetle. To dress up the outside, the car now rides on 15” EMPI chrome wheels. The front end even features disc brakes to further modernize the car. The interior is rather jazzy as it lights up with blue LED lighting as soon as the door is opened. The front seats are sporty racing buckets, and the car has functional seat belts for all passengers. The list of work on this Beetle goes on and on. It has been built to be a reliable, fun to drive show car. This is a great way to enter the classic car hobby, or to expand your existing VW collection. You can see this 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle in greater detail in our Chicago showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 708-444-4488 or chicago@gatewayclassiccars.com.

1965 Volkswagen Beetle

1965 Volkswagen Beetle

Engine: 4 Cyl
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 19,784 ( undocumented )

This 1965 Volkswagen Beetle is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. This sinister black beetle is one of the meanest looking and best performing beetle we have had in our showroom. The black paint is slick and shows well but this bug has more than just good looks. The 145 series tire on the front VS the 215’s on the back begin to give you an idea of what this “Peoples car” is all about. With the hood having that classic tilt opening up top the story is becoming even more clear, this beetle was built to run. The built engine has a ton of aftermarket EMPI parts that give this air-cooled 4 enough power to really open any enthusiasts eyes. The split intake with a set of EMPI carbs really catches the eye while the note coming out of the custom exhaust lets everyone know you mean business. The 4-speed transmission is an absolute blast to shift thru with the pattern feeling tight and close just as it should. The interior is rather original other than that huge tach and a couple gauges added to the dash. That of course is until you see the full roll bar making it safer while adding some rigidity. If you have been wanting to get into one of a bug but have not found one that gets the blood pumping when you drive it this black beetle may be the one. Options on this 1965 Volkswagen Beetle include, Vinyl Interior, and Radial Tires.
