For sale in our Dallas Fort Worth showroom is a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Copo Tribute. Over the years, COPO has become synonymous with Chevy’s monster-displacement Camaros. It’s a term that is still used today by Chevrolet for the purpose-built drag racing Camaros, which are released year after year, just 69 units at a time. But what does COPO really mean? An acronym for “Central Office Production Order,” COPO was the method used by dealers in the know who could use it to order options, or a combination of options, that weren’t specifically listed on the order forms. The most famous use was when dealers used the COPO system to circumvent GM’s 400-cu-in limit on anything that wasn’t a full-size car or a Corvette. If you knew what dealers to go to and who to talk to, you could have used the COPO system to order a factory installed 427 in a 1969 Camaro or Chevelle. This COPO Tribute was done up in fresh Yellow paint with black interior. The engine is a 454 block with 427 internals, that is backed up by a 4 speed manual transmission. This combo packs the punch you expect from big block in a small bodied car! Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is excited to offer this highly modified 1970 Chevrolet Camaro. In 1967 we saw the introduction of the Camaro, Chevy’s answer to the Ford Mustang. Just three years into production Chevrolet brought us a total redesign of the car, ushering in the infamous split bumper design. The car on offer is far from what it was when it came from the factory. This is a purpose built road/track car. Underneath this eye popping Orange exterior you’ll find a multitude of performance upgrades since it was built in south Georgia around 8 years ago. Powering this beast is a built 406 Small Block Chevy engine mated to a T56 6-Speed Transmission. Performance modifications include AFR Cylinder heads, Comp Cams Xtreme Energy Cam, Edelbrock Air gap intake, Demon 625 carburetor, and Professional Products Harmonic balancer. Making sure the transmission can handle all the added power a Mcleod billet Flywheel and hydraulic clutch were added; the transmission then connects to the custom Aluminum driveshaft sending power to the Strange Ford 9” with 4.11 gears. Helping the car make tight corners are BMR upper and lower front control arms, BMR rear torque arm and AFCO remote reservoir double adjustable shocks. The carbon fiber hood and deck lid from Anvil Auto make for an aggressive look contrasting against the bright Orange exterior. Adding to its menacing look are the staggered Black Formula 43 RAD S5 wheels measuring 18x9 upfront and 18x12 in the back. Inside the car you’ll find an original styled interior with custom tan leather bucket seats and a 4 point roll cage. You can listen to the radio cruising down the highway or roll down the windows to hear the roar of the Magnaflow exhaust as you blast around the racetrack. If you are looking for a unique car that you can drive to the track, set some nice lap times and drive home, then look no further. Engine: 302 CID V8Transmission: 4 Speed ManualMileage: 45,003 ( actual )
Currently in the Denver Colorado showroom we have the unique pleasure of offering you this numbers matching 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28! When you combine the fact that this car has only 45,005 documented miles on the odometer plus the complete nut and bolt restoration that was completed in 2007 it is sure to earn the respect and admiration of anyone car collector or not. This stunning Camaro was built in the Norwood, Ohio plant during the first week of June and comes wearing the classic Cortez Silver paint. The Camaro was introduced in 1967 to attack the Ford Mustang success. The first-generation lasted until this 1969 model year when it again paced the Indianapolis 500. For 1969, the Camaro had all-new sheet metal except the hood and trunk lid giving the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned with the heavy “V” cant and deeply inset headlights. New door skins, rear quarter panels, and rear valance panel also gave the car a much lower, wider and more aggressive look. The wheel wells were flattened with sculpted feature lines flowing off towards the rear of the car and rear-slanting simulated air slots ahead of the rear wheel. The front had a full width chrome bumper integrated with the body color grille surround and round parking lights positioned on either side of the license plate. At the rear were wider tail light bezels with triple segment lenses. The Z28 performance package was and still is perhaps the most special and iconic of all available on Camaros! It included a solid-lifter 302 V8, 4-Speed Muncie M-21 Manual transmission, power disc brakes, and two wide bold stripes down the hood and decklid. This styling is considered by many Camaro enthusiasts as the ultimate muscle car look and arguably the most desirable. When you lift the functional air breathing hood with reverse cowl scoop it reveals the 302 cubic inch V8 that punches out an “advertised” 290 horses to grip the asphalt. The original numbers matched engine sits in an impressive engine bay that is clean, and well preserved with original factory stickers that truly reflect the factory representation. Power is delivered by the code M21 4-Speed wide ratio transmission with Hurst shifter to the posi-traction rear axle housing a 3.73 ratio. Performance is delivered to the raised white lettered Goodyears mounted on Rallye wheels which adds to the stylish competition look. Inside this cool coupe is black bucket seat interior as noted on the cowl tag, you’ll find one of the most stylish cockpits of the muscle car era that has been painstakingly restored. Full documentation package to be included with the sale of the car including an appraisal and certificate of authenticity. You can view this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. Engine: 6.0L Fuel Injected LS2 V8Transmission: Tremec TKO 600 5 Speed ManualMileage: 1,260 ( since rebuilt )
For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is this knockout restomod 1973 Chevrolet Camaro. A little over 3 years ago, this car was pulled from a barn and became the subject of a full frame off restoration and modification, with a major emphasis on the modification. The most obvious modifications are the custom wide body kit that allows this 2nd Gen Camaro to tuck 335 cross section tires out back, and 315s up front wrapped around custom E/T wheels. Of course, big sticky tires are only as good as the suspension holding everything else in place. That is why there is Detroit Speed suspension in the front and back to hold everything else in place. To handle bringing things to a quick halt, we have a full Willwood brake system, including 6 piston front and 4 piston rear brake calipers. You are going to need those brakes too, as this car’s real party trick lies under the carbon fiber hood. There you will find a fire spitting 6.0L LS motor that has been stroked with new rods and pistons, dart heads, and dyno tuned to make 427hp and 427 lb-ft. of torque. Those massive tires are starting to make some more sense. Backing up that fuel injected beast is a Tremec TKO 600 5 Speed manual, spinning 390 Truetrac gears in a Ford 9” rear end. Inside, you could call this car a mullet, as it is all business in the front, with the party coming from two 10” kicker subwoofers in a custom enclosure that has replaced the rear seat. Upfront is all business, with Cipher race bucket seats and 4 point harnesses, as well as a half cage painted to match. Other great little touches include a carbon fiber spoiler and trunk lid, kindigit door handles, A/C, power steering, and keyless ignition. Get yourself in this Camaro and go! To view this vehicle in greater detail including HD pictures and videos, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Engine: 283 CID V8Transmission: 2-Speed AutomaticMileage: 18,176 ( actual )
Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this gorgeous 1960 Chevrolet Impala! This is no ordinary Impala. This is a true survivor car. The 283 CID V8 engine is the original that was put in the car in the factory when it was being put together. Covering only 18,176 miles since it first drove off the showroom floor all those years ago. Amazingly, the paint on this car has the original undercoat on it! Even the original AM radio in the car works as it should. This is part of a two-model-year run for the second generation of the much-loved Impala. The 1959 Chevrolet Impala was redesigned. Sharing bodyshells with lower-end Buicks and Oldsmobiles as well as with Pontiac, part of a GM economy move, the Chevrolet's wheelbase was 1-1/2 inches longer. Using a new X-frame chassis, the roof line was three inches lower, bodies were two inches wider, and curb weight increased. Its tailfins protruded outward, rather than upward. The taillights were a large "teardrop" design at each side, and two slim-wide nonfunctional front air intake scoops were added just above the grille, The Impala became a separate series, adding a four-door hardtop and four-door sedan, to the two-door Sport Coupe and convertible. Sport Coupes featured a shortened roof line and wrap-over back window. Standard were front and rear armrests, an electric clock, dual sliding sun visors, and crank-operated front vent windows. A contoured hooded instrument panel held deep-set gauges. A six-way power seat was a new option, as was "Speed minder", for the driver to set a needle at a specific speed and a buzzer would sound if the pre-set was exceeded. The 1960 Impala models reinstated three round taillights on each side, and a white band running along the rear fenders. Anyone looking at the pictures and video of this beautiful machine can clearly see why it’s a great buy. The design is timeless. Don’t wait until it’s gone to inquire. Don’t miss your chance to get behind the wheel of this one. Contact Gateway Classic Cars in Houston for more information. Financing and shipping options are available. Office hours are Monday through Saturday 9-5pm central time. The telephone number for our showroom is (832) 243-6220 or if you prefer, you can email us at email@example.com.
