A little over 3 years ago, this car was pulled from a barn and became the subject of a full frame off restoration and modification, with a major emphasis on the modification. The most obvious modifications are the custom wide body kit that allows this 2nd Gen Camaro to tuck 335 cross section tires out back, and 315s up front wrapped around custom E/T wheels. Of course, big sticky tires are only as good as the suspension holding everything else in place. That is why there is Detroit Speed suspension in the front and back to hold everything else in place. To handle bringing things to a quick halt, we have a full Willwood brake system, including 6 piston front and 4 piston rear brake calipers. You are going to need those brakes too, as this car’s real party trick lies under the carbon fiber hood. There you will find a fire spitting 6.0L LS motor that has been stroked with new rods and pistons, dart heads, and dyno tuned to make 427hp and 427 lb-ft. of torque. Powering this 69’ Camaro is an awesome LS3 V8 engine with a Z06 cam that has been professionally tuned by Mike Norris. A 6-speed manual transmission is mated to LS3 and provides an excellent feel while shifting through the gears. A 10-bolt Posi-Trac rear end with 3.55 gears puts the power to the pavement via the 275 radial tires. The front suspension has been upgraded with tubular upper A-arms and a sway bay. Kore disc brakes adorn all four corners with a Wilwood master cylinder under the hood combining for excellent braking performance. The body and paint were restored in the late 90’s and still shine like new. The green exterior features a white pinstripe down the side, which blends with the white convertible top beautifully. The interior is all green, from the dash to the seats to the carpet. Of special note, this is THE 1969 Camaro that Dale Earnhardt Jr. drove in the Goody's Headache Powders commercial, and comes with authentication (including Dale Jr.'s signature). One of the most iconic of the Pony Cars, the 1969 Camaro has developed a cult-like following. The Camaro was introduced in 1967 as Chevrolet's answer to combat the success of Ford's Mustang, which created a whole new vehicle segment, later dubbed "Pony Cars". For 1969, the Camaro received all-new sheet metal (except for the hood and trunk), which served to give the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned with the heavy “V” cant, and the headlights were given a new recessed position. New door skins, rear quarter panels, and rear valance panel also gave the car a much lower, wider and more aggressive look. The wheel wells were flattened with sculpted feature lines flowing off towards the rear of the car and rear-slanting simulated air slots were positioned ahead of the rear wheel. The front had a full width chrome bumper integrated with the body color grille surround and round parking lights positioned on either side of the license plate. At the rear were wider tail light bezels with triple segment lenses. This styling is considered by many Camaro enthusiasts as the ultimate muscle car look and arguably the most desirable. This car is presented in its original LeMans Blue paint (as depicted on the cowl tag), along with performance white stripe accents. Under the hood lurks a high-compression full roller 350 CID V8, built by Conroes Choice Automotive. The 1969 Camaro marked the last of the first generations and is arguably the most popular. It featured entirely new, more aggressive looking sheet metal and revised grille. Going away was the coke bottle shape, making room for a flatter, wider looking stance. The Camaro was available in many different configurations, from a standard Sport Coupe, a rubber melting Super Sport, or a track-ready Z/28. The SS was "The One with a Name Like the Hiss of a Snake." Big power, special 3-speed transmission, sport striping, heavy insulated hood. Hiding under the stock SS hood on this Hugger Orange beauty is a beast of a V8! Where a salty 350 once sat now resides a NEW 434 cubic inch Nye’s racing engine that starts out with a Dart little M block with all forged internals, solid roller comp cam #12-990-9. Topping off the power house is a set of AFR eliminator 220 cylinder heads that help bump the compression ratio to 13.1:1. Providing the spark needed is a DUI distributor that has been built specifically for this engine setup. Only 700 miles have been put on this engine so it has tons of life left and is just starting to come to life! No expense was spared on any aspect of the restoration of this car! Transferring the power to the rear of the car is the same 3-speed automatic that came in the car from the factory but the only part that hasn’t been upgraded is the exterior case of the transmission. The body and paint are excellent with an impressive panel fit. Making it truly a car that needs to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. The black interior was definitely not overlooked during the restoration. When you are lucky enough sit behind the steering wheel you will notice the factory console gauges have been replaced with upgraded aftermarket gauges. The main reason for the upgrade is to have better accuracy while monitoring the vitals of the car. Helping get the power to the ground is the 12 bolt rear-end that houses a set of 4.10 gears. At all four corners there are Ralley wheels with new trim rings wrapped in BFGoodrich radial tires. And last but not least this car comes with ALL of the original parts that have been upgraded or replaced during the restoration. This includes but is not limited to the numbers matching 350 V8, Air Conditioning setup, power steering as well as the 3.31 gears that were replaced wit the 4.10s. Of special note, this is THE 1969 Camaro that Dale Earnhardt Jr. drove in the Goody's Headache Powders commercial, and comes with authentication (including Dale Jr.'s signature). One of the most iconic of the Pony Cars, the 1969 Camaro has developed a cult-like following. The Camaro was introduced in 1967 as Chevrolet's answer to combat the success of Ford's Mustang, which created a whole new vehicle segment, later dubbed "Pony Cars". For 1969, the Camaro received all-new sheet metal (except for the hood and trunk), which served to give the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned with the heavy “V” cant, and the headlights were given a new recessed position. New door skins, rear quarter panels, and rear valance panel also gave the car a much lower, wider and more aggressive look. The wheel wells were flattened with sculpted feature lines flowing off towards the rear of the car and rear-slanting simulated air slots were positioned ahead of the rear wheel. The front had a full width chrome bumper integrated with the body color grille surround and round parking lights positioned on either side of the license plate. At the rear were wider tail light bezels with triple segment lenses. This styling is considered by many Camaro enthusiasts as the ultimate muscle car look and arguably the most desirable. This car is presented in its original LeMans Blue paint (as depicted on the cowl tag), along with performance white stripe accents. Under the hood lurks a high-compression full roller 350 CID V8, built by Conroes Choice Automotive. It sports a pair of Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads and FAST EFI TBI Fuel Injection sits atop the Edelbrock hi-rise aluminum manifold. An MSD Digital 6AL ignition system helps boost the spark, while coated headers suction the exhaust gases into a 2.5" dual exhaust system, and the performance mufflers give it that throaty muscle car sound that enthusiasts crave. The hi-po 350 sends the power to the rear via a built 700R4 4-speed automatic, which twists the 3.90:1 gears in its 10-bolt Posi rear end. In the event you find yourself spending too much time in the throttle, savoring the high RPM howl this 350 makes, the two-piece slotted and drilled Wilwood rotors and their accompanying multipiston calipers up front will help you get back to legal digits quickly. Inside this cool coupe is an Ivory bucket seat interior (also noted on the cowl tag), which seems practically new, as does the black carpet. An Equus tri-gauge cluster above the console helps keep the driver informed about critical operating systems, as well. The console features a period correct "staple" shifter, with an updated gear indicator bezel, alluding to the 4-speed transmission (with "D-3-2-1" positions, rather than the "D-2-1" of a 3-speed auto).
