1968 Dodge Dart GTS

1968 Dodge Dart GTS

Engine: 340 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 300 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars now has a very special and beautiful 1968 Dodge Dart GTS Convertible available in Houston! This one is powered by a numbers matching 340 CID V8 engine that goes through a factory TorqueFlite transmission. This engine has only covered less than 500 miles since the car was restored in 2013. Exterior is finished in a red with black top combination. Features include an AM radio, automatic convertible top, hub caps, power brakes, power steering, jack, seat belts, vinyl interior and radial tires. This is part of the fourth generation of Dodge Dart vehicles produced between 1967 and 1976. The Dart was substantially redesigned for the 1967 model year. It received new styling, revised steering systems, wider front track and frame rail spacing. Redesigned K-members were added to accept the larger engines that Dodge had in mind for the car. In 1967 you would also notice the rear window with inverse curves, creating a new and unique appearance at the rear of a greenhouse, but designed to collect snow! The 170 CID I6 was dubbed simply “Dart”, with the 270 and GT carrying on mostly unchanged. In late 1967 the GTS came out in limited quantities due to it’s lateness, but the 1968 was arguably improved anyway, by fitting the new high-output 340 CID V8! That is the car that you are looking at here. The first of the 340 GTS cars. Aside from the engine, changes for 1968 were relatively subtle. The park and turn lights in the grille were moved slightly inboard and made round. Side marker lights were added to the front fenders and rear quarter panels, to comply with newly introduced Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108. Shoulder harnesses (separate, this year and until 1973, from the lap belts) and non-glare matte finish on the windshield wiper arms were also part of the 1968 federally mandated safety package. This is a hard to find vehicle and a perfect addition to the garage. This beautiful Dart is in our Houston showroom. Come by and see us at 1910 Cypress Station Dr #200, Houston, TX 77090. You can contact the showroom at (832)243-6220 or email the at Houston@GatewayClassicCars.com

1962 Dodge Dart

1962 Dodge Dart

Engine: 413 CID V8
Transmission: 727 Push Button
Mileage: 11,916 ( undocumented )

This 1962 Dodge Max Wedge Tribute is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 62 Line up for Dodge had there own defined look making them highly collectible today. Not to mention the big and powerful engine you could get in on of these intermediate size cars. In 1962 the now infamous Wedge cars were released and put everyone on notice. With there 413 CI engine and massive cross ram intakes were literally taking the strips by storm. This example is sure to briong you back to thos magical days when Dodge pretty much owned the drag strips. Start with the black paint which is slick while showing off those one of a kind lines. The multiple coats of clear laid on top gives it not only a mirror finish but almost a 3D look. Let’s get down to why you really want this beast of a car. Pop the hood and an ultra- rare 413 Ramcharger lies cradled between the frame rails. The crossram intake is correct and not a cheap part by any means but gives it that I mean business look while gaining a good bit of power. Matched up to a 727 HD torque flite this thing is ready for the street or strip. Open the door and period correct interior is comfortable while looking nice. Yet still the best and coolest thing about this car ahs to be the push button trans making it as simple as pressing D and slamming the gas. Just make sure your holding on because if this monster hooks up you will be in for a ride you will soon not forget. Options on this 1962 Dodge Dart 413 Cross Ram car include Radio Delete, Cloth/Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, and Radial Tires. 1970 Dodge Dart

1970 Dodge Dart

Engine: 360 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 60,429 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this stunning 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger. As 2nd tier muscle cars, many have forgotten its sleek styling, awesome performance and unique appeal. Restored clean Darts are a bit hard to find but this one is sure to impress as it is fully equipped and built to exquisite detail. This show winning Sherwood Green example is simply beautiful! Originally sold from Dadeland Dodge in Miami Florida this car has real history and plenty of purchase and service documents to back it up. In 2006 this Dart Swinger underwent a meticulous full frame off rotisserie restoration using all the original sheet metal and as much of the original parts as possible. Keeping to its original design style and flavor the vehicle was appropriately upgraded to a 360 V8 with all new hardware. A driving show winner example was the goal and its execution of the project was, as you can see, phenomenal! You may never see another Dodge Dart Swinger of this caliber, let alone have the opportunity to buy one. The overall project maintained the original sleeper look as the car retains an original bench seat and column shift automatic. A few little chromed cosmetics to the engine compartment do not take away from its original splendor as many of the hoses, clamps, hardware and markings are just as they would be from the Dart Swinger assembly line. This is one sharp Dart and you will not find another one that has been cared for so meticulously. Snatch this Swinger up before someone else gets her! This Dart is loaded with options including air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, AM radio, vinyl interior and aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in radial tires. This 1970 Dodge Dart is for sale in our Orlando Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. 1968 Dodge Dart

1968 Dodge Dart

Engine: 451 Big Block V8
Transmission: 2 Speed Powerglide
Mileage: 67,107 ( undocumented )

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1968 dodge Dart. This bad to the bone Dart is both show and go! The meticulous restoration was a no expense spared job that included a lot of high performance goodies. Power comes from a built 451 based from a 400 block that features aluminum main caps, Veolia Pistons, Bill Mille aluminum rods, 3.375 billet crank and roller cam and lifters. The cylinder heads are aluminum Indy 440 1 cylinder heads as well as an Indy aluminum intake manifold and a CNC ported valley pan. It's equipped with a Milidon oiling system, Milidon oil pan, custom push rods, K Motion valve springs, Stainless steel valves with lockers and retainers, Mopar performance aluminum water pump and a Holley 1050 Dominator carburetor. Exhaust and the menacing sounds that emit from this power house come out of custom headers, exhaust and Borla mufflers. This power needs something just as stout to transfer the power back to the rear wheels. Accomplishing that is a TCI Power Glide transmission, TCI torque converter, Jerry Bickel Chromoly drive shaft with billet trans and rear end yokes, Strange 9 inch with 40 spline spool, 4.56:1 gears and Strange 40 spline axles. Putting the power to ground is no easy task. Accomplishing this feat are Strange double adjustable rear shocks, Chassis Works ladder bar, Strange struts, Strange Rack and Pinion steering and 19.5 Mickey Thompsons wrapped around Weld Racing Aluma Star wheels. Up front are 26x5 Good Years also wrapped around Weld Racing Aluma Stars. Slowing things down is drama free thanks to a set of Strange four wheel disc brakes, Strange master cylinder and steel braided brake lines. Safety is one thing that shouldn't be taken for granted and certainly not missed. This one is ready to hold you in place and keep you safe. Doing so is a custom 12 point roll cage and Stroud 5 point racing belts. Other notable build details include a Hurst roll control line lock, Hurst Quarter Stick shifter, Griffin radiator, Barry Grant fuel system (400 pump & 4 port regulator), Painless wiring harness, Jazz 15 gallon fuel cell and of course beautiful workmanship that shows through and through. 1966 Dodge Dart GT

1966 Dodge Dart GT

Engine: 273ci
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 60,706 ( undocumented )

Our Atlanta Showroom is proud to offer this 1966 Dodge Dart for sale. This 4 barrel 273ci V8 is mated to an automatic transmission. It has been upgraded to factory Dodge disc brakes an has the factory GT emblems. The 1966 Dart remained largely the same as the 1965 models with the same engine and transmission lineup. There was a special 273 offered, however, in the D/Dart, a special drag racing edition. Also, the ball and trunion front joint was replaced with a more common U-joint and the 904 transmissions were now shifted with linkages instead of cables. The only change to the suspension was an optional, small front sway bar. An effective facelift with more squared-off lines, a new rectangular grille, and rectangular headlight bezels was introduced. The intention of the facelift was to better mimic the new Charger. The special drag racing D/Dart was classed in the D/Stock class and featured a 273 with larger Holley carb, headers, hotter cam, and manual choke. It was only offered on two-door GT models. Options include: After Market AC, AM radio, Seat Belts, radial Tires, rally wheels. The only thing it is missing is you in the driver’s seat! 1962 Dodge Dart 330

1962 Dodge Dart 330

Engine: 413 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 50,534 ( actual )

This stunning Dodge Dart 330 has been meticulously maintained over the years and only has 50,534 original miles! All original interior and the rare 413 CID Golden Lion V8 topped with dual four-barrel carburetors’ sitting under the hood is backed by a push button Torque-flite automatic transmission. The Seneca, Pioneer, and Phoenix trim levels were dropped; trim levels became Dart, Dart 330, and Dart 440. The Polara 500, offered in 2-door hardtop, 4-door hardtop, and convertible styles, was dimensionally identical but not officially a Dart by dint of its "Polara 500" badging. The Polara 500 was not built or sold in Canada, and the Dart models were the same as in the U.S. except that the base model was badged Dart 220. The 1962 Dart, like the Plymouth, was on a new lightweight unibody "B" platform, featuring Chrysler's well-received "Torsion-Aire" torsion bar front suspension and asymmetric rear leaf springs. The rigidity gained through the nearly pure unibody platform combined with the suspension's low unsprang weight and near-ideal geometry provided sound handling, braking, and acceleration; the latter especially with the mid-year 415 HP "Ramcharger" 413 CID V8 which was aimed primarily at sanctioned drag racing, where it quickly broke performance records. To view the car in greater detail, including an HD video and 100+ HD pictures please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com or our Denver showroom. Call 303-872-4722 for more information.

1968 Dodge Dart Pro Street

1968 Dodge Dart Pro Street

Engine: 605 CID Hemi Big Block
Transmission: Automatc
Mileage: 0 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this 1968 Dodge Dart Pro Street “Indy Cylinder Head built the Dart”. It has a Hemi -- 605 cubic inches monster engine! That was reflected on the dyno sheets that Indy supplied with the engine: 836.8 horsepower and 752 lb.-ft of torque. The Hemi was teamed with an equally stout J.W. Performance Transmission–built 727 with a 4,200-stall converter and a narrowed rear end equipped with Strange axles and a Detroit Locker that are up to the task of taming all that Hemi power. Outside, what was left of the original Dart’s body structure was plenty enough to build from, once the floors and quarters were replaced with new steel. AAR Fiberglass’ bolt-on hood, bumper, front fender, doors, and decklid reproductions -- plus a ’68 Super Stock–style hood scoop -- were fitted and installed before the two-stage Sikkens Viper Red enamel went on. Inside, it’s a combination of race-car safety hardware and high-end cruiser, with leather covering the SCAT racing seats, dash and door panels, and custom carpets on the floors. As for a sound system, the Hemi’s custom exhaust system is for that purpose. Engine: There’s big, there’s huge—and then there’s this Indy Cylinder Head–built Street Legend Hemi. Displacing 605 inches, it features Indy’s aluminum 41/2-inch bore block, with a forged Callies crankshaft and Eagle H-beam rods, forged 10.75:1 compression Wiseco pistons, and a Comp Cams solid-roller camshaft. A pair of Indy’s 426-1RA heads, ported Indy intake with a 1050-cfm Holley Dominator, MSD ignition, and a custom-built exhaust system finalize the overgrown air pump. Transmission: J.W. Performance Transmission-built 727 with a reverse–manual valve body, 9-inch/4,200 stall convertor with a trans brake, B&M shifter, and a Gear Vendors overdrive. Rear: Narrowed 9-inch is filled with a 4.56-geared Detroit Locker differential and Strange axles. Suspension: (Front) Art Morrison’s Super Strut, (Rear) X-link with Strange coil overs and ladder bars. Brakes: Four-wheel discs with Wilwoods in front and Strange Engineering rotors and calipers in the rear. Wheels/Tires: Welds and Mickey Thompsons (Front) 15x4½-inch wheels on 26x7.50x15 M/T Sportsman tires, (Rear) 15x14-inch Double Bead lock wheels on M/T’s 32x17.50x15 ET Streets. Paint/Body: Original unibody had its floors and trunk replaced before it was fitted to the round-tube frame. AAR Fiberglass provided the hood, front fenders, trunk lid, and bumpers, and Rick Perry (aided by Don Reese and Ron Sheed) got it all ready for the Sikkens two-stage Viper Red enamel. Interior: Fernando Torres custom-stitched the SCAT Sportsman race bucket seats, door panels, and dash pad in tan leather with matching suede inserts. Steering wheel is a repro Tuff one on a Flaming River tilter, and tan/brown carpets cover the floors. This is one serious bad boy, gas sucking, tire evaporating machine! She will really get up and go! This car is truly one of a kind. This is the one you want to own. Make it yours today before someone else does. This 1968 Dodge Dart Pro Street is for sale in our Orlando Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
