This roadster for sale has a 2138 CC inline four cylinders under the hood that is feed by two side draft SU carburetors making this little roadster quick and fun to drive. When you open the door and slide behind the steering wheel you just can not help but smile and the smile just keeps getting bigger and bigger in fact after a short test drive I found I had perma grin for a day and a half. This TR3 for sale is great for short runs to the store or long weekend drives through the countryside. It surely likes the curves of a fine country road where it can show off the go cart like ability to carve a corner. This must have been what it was like to strap yourself into a bi plane and do some seat of the pants flying in the 1930’s. The fuel injection system that was put on is made by Street and Performance. The 400 Turbo Automatic transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears and all the power from the big V-8 is put to the ground via a 9-inch Ford rear end. The fat man front suspension makes driving this beast of a vehicle that much easier along with power steering and power brakes. The exterior of this car is something you would think you could only see in your dreams! `The Sandstone paint color was applied with a base coat and a clear coat and looks amazing from any angle. All the Chrome on this Packard looks great when matched with the Sandstone paint which is also PPG paint. The interior is just as nice as the exterior with fully customized sandstone leather bucket seats up front and full bench in the rear. The wood trim throughout accents the dash and center console perfectly with the Sandstone leather. The GM steering column with a Colorado Custom Steering Wheel goes great with all the aftermarket gauges and Wabbit dash inserts. With competition coming from all directions, Oldsmobile came out strong with the introduction of the 4-4-2! While it was a worthy competitor, the 4-4-2 fell short of cubic inches and the straight-line performance seen in cars like the GTO and Chevelle. To answer the call, Oldsmobile prepared a new 400 engine in 1965 and revamped the 4-4-2 package with simulated rear fender scoops and colorful 4-4-2 badges. Thanks to these changes, Oldsmobile saw significant success in their sales and were looking forward to the 1966 model year. This superb 4-4-2 is perhaps one of the nicest examples of the treasured muscle car from 1966 and appears just as it did from the showroom! This beauty received the full treatment with a frame off restoration including the glass being replaced and coded, black interior totally redone and all suspension components rebuilt!
