This beautiful and rare 1955 Hudson Hornet is for sale in our Nashville Tennessee showroom. In its final two years of production, the Hornet became a product of the newly formed American Motors Corporation (AMC). The Detroit plant was closed, and Hudson Models were shifted to the Nash’s Kenosha Wisconsin facility. The Hudson’s would be based on the senior Nash models but would have exclusive Hudson Styling. The first-generation Hudson Hornets featured a functional "step-down" design with dropped floor pan and a chassis with a lower center of gravity than contemporary vehicles that helped the car handle well – a bonus for racing. Hudson was the first automobile manufacturer to get involved in stock car racing. The Hornet dominated stock car racing in the early-1950s, when stock car racers actually raced stock cars. Overall, Hudson won 27 of the 34 NASCAR Grand National races in 1952, followed by 22 wins of 37 in 1953, and capturing 17 of the 37 races in 1954 — "an incredible accomplishment, especially from a car that had some legitimate luxury credentials." By the owner’s own account this Hornet is one of the nicer one still being driven. Under the hood is the original 308 CID Inline 6-cylinder engine. The engine has a set of dual carburetors with air cleaners giving it a nice sporty look. The engine has been treated to a new water pump, fuel pump, rebuilt carburetors and the fuel tank has been reconditioned and sealed. This Hornet has even been tuned up and is ready for the road! The exterior is the original color scheme but has had one repaint. The interior is plush and looks to be all original. This Hornet has been pampered and has less than 48000 original miles! If you have been looking for a clean classic that you can take to car shows or drive on a daily basis but don’t want to bust the bank this Hornet is an excellent choice. Options on this 1955 Hudson Hornet include AM Radio, Vinyl Interior with Cloth Inserts, Hub Caps with Steel Wheels wrapped in Wide White Wall Radial Tires. Gateway Classic Cars is privileged to offer for purchase in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom this stunning and highly desirable 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280SE Cabriolet. The exterior is a beautiful, rich dark green with a thick cognac leather interior. The documentation for this vehicle includes a binder full of service records and the original owner’s manual. Features on this collector quality vehicle includes air conditioning, power windows, power steering, steering column automatic transmission, power disc brakes, and Becker Europa AM/FM radio with power antenna. Mercedes-Benz's elegant Paul Bracq-designed W111 made its debut in 1959 and was produced, in its many variations, through 1971. Among the most desirable variations were the two-door models—the 280 SE Cabriolet and Coupe—which were expensive, virtually hand-built automobiles hailing from the great tradition of German craftsmanship. The wood trim throughout the interior were all genuine solid hardwood. The leather upholstery is thick and comfortable; and both the ride quality and handling are superb. These cars rapidly became favorites of international socialites and celebrities, and they were frequently seen cruising in all of the world's most posh destinations. Just less than 1,400 280SE Cabriolets were assembled from 1968-1971. Their rarity, performance, handling, craftsmanship are all blended perfectly into a design that has become iconic. It is no wonder why the 280SE has become one of the most recognized classic Mercedes-Benz models sought after by collectors today. Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta proudly presents a 1967 Ford Eleanor Mustang. Everybody knows the real star of the last Gone in 60 Seconds movie was the car. This Mustang pays tribute to the star of the movie, and this car is an excellent performer. Under the peper gray Dupont paint, this Eleanor rides great and has disc brakes at all four corners. Under the hood, things get real serious with a professionally built 351W based engine. Total cubic displacement comes in at a whopping 427 inches! The engine was built by Unique Performance systems with Edlelbrock Victor Jr. heads. The 427 is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission that sends the power to a rock-solid Ford 9-inch rear end. With Disc brakes at all four corners, this stallion can be slowed down from those excessive speeds that this car is capable of. Inside the interior is all business. Keeping the car enjoyable while driving is an AM/FM radio with a CD player to listen to your favorite tunes. This car is so cool that Carroll Shelby signed it in 2 different places. I bet Nic Cage would have loved the endorsement of Carroll in his movie car! Options for this 1967 Ford Eleanor Mustang includes; AM/FM Radio with CD Player , Power Brakes, , Seat Belts, and Aftermarket Aluminum Wheels with 17 inch performance radial tires. For sale in our Dallas-Ft. Worth showroom is this gorgeous tuxedo black 1959 Chevrolet Corvette convertible. This stunning car has a beautiful red interior, a 270 hp 2x4 solid lift 283 with a 4-speed transmission and wide whitewalls with knockoff hubcaps. To the credit of all involved, the 1959 Corvette was “cleaned up” considerably. For one, the chrome “suspenders” were removed from the design, providing Corvette with a more swept back look that was synonymous with speed. For another, it was decided that the faux hood louvers would be eliminated, returning the Corvette to a semblance of its former self. While these features were key identifiers of the 1958 Corvette, there was no question that the elimination of the excessive chrome would reduce weight and help increase performance. Much like the exterior of the Corvette, the interior received minor, but significant updates as well. Both the door handles and the armrests were repositioned and a small-item storage compartment was added beneath the passenger side grab bar. In addition, both the driver and passenger seats were redesigned to offer increased lateral support of their occupants. All tachometers now indicated up to 7,000 rpm and offered redline and safe limit indicators. Sun visors were introduced to the 1959 Corvette as a new option and concave instrument lenses replaced the flat covers of the 1958 Corvette, thereby reducing sun glare (and other reflections) that might cause a driver to become distracted.
