1963 Ford Thunderbird

1963 Ford Thunderbird

Engine: 390 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 535 ( since rebuilt )

The Tampa Showroom is offering this 1963 Ford Thunderbird for sale. A bullet bird, how cool is this ride! This Thunderbird has a 390ci V-8 with an automatic transmission. The T-bird has a newer top and the interior has been lifted from the old to the new with carpet an, seats, and door panels. The newer paint looks very good and this bullet is ready for the road. During the build, new brakes, gas tank & lines, transmission serviced, a new Holly carburetor, driveshaft balanced, trunk mat kit, master cylinders, power booster, and multiple trim pieces. Heads have been hardened to accept regular gasoline. This bird comes with a cover, extra rear bumpers, original heads, carburetor, and fuel pump. All this work was completed 2012 and with only 535 miles put on the odometer since the build. The third generation of the Ford Thunderbird is a personal luxury car produced by Ford for the 1961 to 1963 model years. It featured new and much sleeker styling than the second generation models. Sales were strong, if not quite up to record-breaking 1960, at 73,051 including 10,516 convertibles. A new, larger 390 cu in 6.4 L FE-series V8 was the only engine available in 1961. The Thunderbird was 1961's Indianapolis 500 pace car, and featured prominently in US President John F. Kennedy's inaugural parade, probably aided by the appointment of Ford executive Robert McNamara as Secretary of Defense. It shared some styling cues with the much smaller European Ford Corsair. Changes for 1963 were relatively mild. Some additions to the option list included vacuum assisted door locks and an AM/FM radio; an AM radio and a remote driver's side mirror became standard. Options include: Power Brakes, AM radio, Hub Caps, Power steering, power top, vinyl interior, tilt wheel, radial tires, power windows, . 1963 Ford Galaxie

1963 Ford Galaxie

Engine: 390 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 2,000 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is proud to offer this gorgeous metallic ruby 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 for sale. Bathed in a lustrous, glowing House of Kolors red that seems to change colors from every angle, it literally looks like a metallic ruby when viewed in the sunlight. The exterior chrome trim around the windows is in excellent shape, and the rest of the chrome trim looks good, too. Open the hood, and you'll note that the engine bay is finished in the same red and is loaded with chrome. From the hood hinges, to the radiator reservoir, alternator, power brake booster and master cylinder, valve covers and air cleaner, this baby sparkles. The big 390 CID V8 lurks menacingly in its lair - fitted with coated Hedman headers and topped with an aluminum Edelbrock manifold and Edelbrock 4BBL carb, you know this is no mild grocery getter's mill. With only about 2000 miles on the engine since it was rebuilt, it's barely broken in. Backed by a Ford 3-speed automatic that sends the power to the 3.05:1 gearset in the Ford 9-inch rear, this is one sturdy and potent drivetrain. A massive aluminum radiator with twin electric pusher fans (aided by the factory fan) helps keep the big block cool while you're motoring around town. Moving to the inside, you'll notice the Vintage Ford-logoed AC, and some cool custom touches, like custom Mother of Pearl steering wheel and the Oyster shell-topped switchgear on the dash and radio's control knobs. A Sunpro gauge pack helps the driver monitor the powertrain's vitals, with the rest of the factory gauges intact, as well. The sweet champagne beige and oyster-colored synthetic leather seating is in great shape, and the carpet looks brand new. Settle into the driver's seat, fire it up, and listen to the baritone burble of the big 390 as it settles into a lopey idle, sending its exhaust out the big dual exhaust, its DynoMax mufflers both quieting and enhancing the muscle car sound. Pull the gear lever into drive and rumble off to your next horizon. If, during your motoring escapade you should choose to see what this baby will do, the power brakes have the added benefit of discs up front, complete with drilled rotors; so stopping happens much more quickly than it ever could've with the original brake setup. The aluminum American Racing 5-spoke wheels provide additional good looks, and better airflow to the brakes, too. Additional options on this 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 for sale include Air Conditioning, Aluminum Alloy wheels, AM Radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Synthetic Leather seating. For more information on this 1963 Ford Galaxie 500, please call the Houston showroom at (832) 243-6220; or email us at "Houston@GatewayClassicCars.com". Engine: 390 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 83,507 ( actual )

This beautiful two owner 1965 Ford Thunderbird is for sale currently in our Denver showroom. The original light blue paint has been meticulously cared for throughout the years and it definitely shows! Thanks partly to this car never having been driven in inclement weather. Both owners of this 4th Generation Thunderbird treated it much like it was a part of their family. With just over 12,000 miles on a complete rebuild and never having missed a scheduled maintenance this thing runs down the road better than when it was new. Helping transmit the power to the road is the 3 speed automatic transmission that has also been professionally rebuilt around the same time as the engine. Sitting behind the swing-a-way steering wheel takes you back in time to when aviation and vehicles shared each others styling ques. Everything from the heater controls to the gauge cluster make you feel as though you are preparing for takeoff! The bucket seats feel as though they have never been sat in and if you are lucky enough to be the driver you are treated to an adjustable seat that is power. Wraping around the original wheels is a set of radial tires that have just over 400 miles on thme. Rounding out the claissc looks of this piece of American history are the sequential taillights that look just as good when they are off as when they are lighting up.
