1967 Volkswagen Beetle

1967 Volkswagen Beetle

Engine: V4
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 72,676 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this professionally restored 1967 Volkswagen Beetle. This baby blue Beetle has less than 200 miles since being restored and has been so stored in a climate-controlled garage. The 1967 VW is the most desirable of all vintage Beetles due to the 12-volt electrical system and it’s the last year of the European body style. It also housed the largest engine to date. This car had upgraded to Coker radial tires with a spare in the trunk with a modern adaptor for modern equipment. This Beetle also has a Sapphire radio system installed and ready to help you jam your favorite tunes. Beetle featured a rear-located, rear-wheel drive, air-cooled four-cylinder, boxer engine in a two-door bodywork featuring a flat front windscreen, accommodating four passengers and providing luggage storage under the front bonnet and behind the rear seat—and offering a coefficient of drag of 0.41; to this relatively good CD, the also streamlined rear of car was of help. The bodywork attached with eighteen bolts to its nearly flat chassis which featured a central structural tunnel. Front and rear suspension featured torsion bars along with front stabilizer bar—providing independent suspension at all wheels. Certain initial features were subsequently revised, including mechanical drum brakes, split-window rear windows, mechanical direction-indicators and the non-synchronized gearbox. Other features, including its distinctive overall shape, endured. In fact, the Beetle was prized for its seemingly unchanged appearance and "marketed to American consumers as the anti-GM and Ford: 'We do not believe in planned obsolescence. We don't change a car for the sake of change.'"[52] Its engine, transmission, and cylinder heads were constructed of light alloy. An engine oil cooler (located in the engine fan's shroud) ensured optimal engine operating temperature and long engine life, optimized by a thermostat that bypassed the oil cooler when the engine was cold. Later models of the carburetor featured an automatic choke. Engine intake air passed through a metallic filter, while heavier particles were captured by an oil bath. After 1960, steering featured a hydraulic damper that absorbed steering irregularities. To see 100+ HD pictures and videos of this 1967 Volkswagen Beetle please visit GatewayClassicCars.com. 1965 Volkswagen Beetle

1965 Volkswagen Beetle

Engine: 4 Cyl
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 19,784 ( undocumented )

This 1965 Volkswagen Beetle is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. This sinister black beetle is one of the meanest looking and best performing beetle we have had in our showroom. The black paint is slick and shows well but this bug has more than just good looks. The fiberglass hood was used to shave off a couple more LB's. The 145 series tire on the front VS the 215’s on the back begin to give you an idea of what this “Peoples car” is all about. With the hood having that classic tilt opening up top the story is becoming even more clear, this beetle was built to run. The built engine has a ton of aftermarket EMPI parts that give this air-cooled 4 enough power to really open any enthusiasts eyes. The split intake with a set of EMPI carbs really catches the eye while the note coming out of the custom exhaust lets everyone know you mean business. The 4-speed transmission is an absolute blast to shift thru with the pattern feeling tight and close just as it should. The interior is rather original other than that huge tach and a couple gauges added to the dash. That of course is until you see the full roll bar making it safer while adding some rigidity. If you have been wanting to get into one of a bug but have not found one that gets the blood pumping when you drive it this black beetle may be the one. Options on this 1965 Volkswagen Beetle include, Vinyl Interior, and Radial Tires. This 1965 Volkswagen Beetle is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For additional information please call our knowledgeable staff at (812)294-1555 or email us at Louisville@GatewayClassicCars.com. Engine: 1300 CC 4-Cylinder OHV
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 10,000 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to offer this wonderful 1963 Volkswagen Transporter. This body style is the one to have and this little sweetheart even has the soft convertible top that when you put it back, you can let the sunshine in. Unlike some 23W models out there today, this one actually started life as a what it is today. Owned by a prominent VW collector, this is one of three buses he has in his collection. Having logged a trouble-free 10,000 miles since the engine was rebuilt, this 23W will reliably get you wherever you want to go. Throughout his long ownership, everything that's ever needed attention was attended to. It's been painted and a new interior was sewn up for it several years ago. Although the interior looks period-correct, it's not exactly as it left Wolfsburg in 1963. Only judges at a VW concours show would know the difference. These VW buses have gotten really popular over the recent years and are worth big bucks to overseas investors and collectors.
