Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to offer this energetic 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle for sale right now in our Arizona showroom. The turquoise paint job with white rally stripes is high-spirited and the vinyl top is in fantastic condition while the cowl induction hood that sucks cold air into the carburetor really pops on this Chevelle. Engine: 396 L-89 Transmission: M21 4-Speed ManualMileage: 11394 ( undocumented )
For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible. This black big block is powered by a 375 horse 396 with the L-89 aluminum head option. This was a true screamer! Solid lifters and high compression pop-up pistons with free flowing aluminum Winters GM cylinder heads. This is not an original L-89 car, or the price would be near double as only a handful were ever built. However, this is a very accurate representation of a real L-89 car. The car featured has received a full frame off restoration in 2014 and will stop most people dead in their tracks. The paint appears as if it is miles deep and the rumble emitting from the coated ceramic headers and Flowmaster mufflers is intoxicating. Putting the power to the pavement is a close ratio Muncie M-21 4 speed manual, 12 bolt rear end with 4.10:1 posi traction gears and some wide radial rubber. The rear tires are 275/60R15 and the car needs it! These big blocks were known for their stump pulling torque. The solid lifter variant of the big blocks were some of the meanest on the street. With a redline of 6,500 RPM and a factory under rated 375 horsepower, this was not a car to underestimate. True power numbers are far above 400 horsepower, especially with headers. Some sources say adding headers to a solid lifter high RPM Chevy Big Block was worth 75-100 extra horsepower. The factory cast iron exhaust manifolds were very restrictive. Equipment on this big block 4 speed convertible include Power top, Power brakes, Power steering, Power windows, tilt steering column and an AM/FM radio. Triple black with Magnum 500 wheels wrapped with BFG radial rubber, this car is gorgeous. For more information, call our St. Louis showroom at 618-271-3000 or swing by for an up close viewing. Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this stunning 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible. This car is turn key and fire right up just ready to hit the streets. Nothing like the sound of a Chevy V8 engine and in a convertible to really make you enjoy a summer night cruise. The 1971 Chevelle was treated to new front-end and rear-end styling that included large Power-Beam single-unit headlights, a reworked grille and bumper, and integral park/signal/marker lights. New dual round taillights were integral with the back bumper. Because SS models suffered heavy insurance surcharges, Chevrolet introduced the "Heavy Chevy" at midyear, which was based on the base Chevelle, and was available with any V8 engine except the 454, which was exclusive to SS models. Chevrolet specifications for 1971 included both "gross" and "net" horsepower figures for all engines. The standard Chevelle SS engine was a two-barrel 350-cubic-inch V8 rated at 245 gross (165 net) horsepower. This stunning Chevelle does have the standard small block 350 Chevy engine that has been completely rebuild and runs great. It is paired to a smooth shifting 3 speed automatic transmission. The red paint on this car shines bright in the sun and has been redone to be in great condition. The black vinyl interior does not show its age due to it not having any rips or tears. This car even has upgraded sound system to a more modern stereo and speakers. The classic style is kept with the Cragar wheels and white letter BF Goodrich tires, it does have another set of rims that come with it as well. This car is set up with the R12 original A/C that still blows cool to this day. The power top makes an aggressive look go to a sporty convertible and even more fun drive in a matter of minutes. This car is perfect for any collection and could even be used as a daily driver. Everyone should enjoy dropping the top on a classic Chevelle and pushing the throttle down to feel the rush of American muscle. To see 100+ HD pictures and videos of this 1971 Chevelle Convertible, please visit GatewayClassicCars.com. Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is thrilled to offer this big, bad 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle for sale right now in our Arizona showroom. This frame-off restored Chevelle is equipped with a seam-splitting 454 CID V8 that will make you feel like you’ve experienced a small earthquake every time you touch the gas pedal. Paired with a Turbo 350 transmission controlled by a B&M ratchet shifter, this beastly Chevelle is guaranteed to give you more smiles than miles per gallon! This 1970 Chevelle presents itself in an extremely compelling black cherry paintjob with black stripes on the outside and looks the part inside too with a black vinyl interior and carbon fiber accents. The retro-modern theme continues with cupholders in the center console and an upgraded sound system, as well as a unique push-button start! Power 4-wheel disc brakes, power steering, a custom radiator and the Posi Traction rear-end make this 1970 Chevelle a safe, reliable and pleasurable drive wherever your destination may be. This is a very solid build that will certainly turn heads with the way it looks and sits wherever you go, and if they don’t look at you they’ll certainly hear you with the unmistakable roar of an unrestrained big-block V8. While the Chevelle brand is synonymous with muscle car enthusiasts and there are plenty of examples at most car shows, this one right here in our Scottsdale showroom really is something special and you know that the first person who sees it will want it in their garage. Don’t be beaten to this one-of-a-kind 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle for sale right now in our facility. Gateway classic cars of Tampa is excited to have this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle listed for sale. This green machine can be heard from blocks away with its set up under the hood. Some lucky Joe out there is going to really enjoy this Chevelle screaming down the streets of his or her hometown. The original 396 that came in this Chevelle has been pulled and replaced with a 454 Big block with solid lifter cams. The whole suspension raises when you put your foot down just a tad on the accelerator of this beast. The 4.10 rear end and 700R Auto transmission is helpful with the performance combination in this car. The car has a recent paint job and looks great with its green and black stripe scheme. The 1969 Chevelle was billed as "America's most popular mid-size car." They showed only minor changes for 1969, led by revised front-end styling. A single chrome bar connected quad headlights (which became a familiar Chevrolet trademark with its concurrent light duty pickup trucks) with a revised front grille, now cast in ABS plastic, and a slotted bumper held the parking lights. Taillight lenses were larger and more vertical, flowing into the quarter panels. Front vent windows (hardtop and convertibles only) began to fade away now that Astro Ventilation (first introduced on the 1966 Buick Riviera which was used a year earlier on the Camaro and Caprice) was sending outside air into several Chevelle models. The Chevelle lineup slimmed down to Nomad, 300 Deluxe/Greenbrier, Malibu/Concours, and Concours Estate series, and the base 300 series was history. No longer a series of its own, the SS 396 turned into a $347.60 option package for any two-door model. That meant not just a convertible, sport coupe, or pickup, but even the pillared coupe and sport coupe in the lower-rent 300 Deluxe series (except the base 300 Deluxe El Camino pickup). Fewer SS396-optioned 300 Deluxe coupes and sport coupes were built than their Malibu counterparts and they are solid gold for collectors. To see 100+ HD pictures and videos of this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle, please visit GatewayClassicCars.com.
