1973 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400

1973 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400

Engine: 400 CID V8
Transmission: Turbo Hydromatic 400
Mileage: 82,436 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this excellent 1973 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 Ram Air. This Formula 400 Firebird checks off all the necessary boxes to make this a worthy car for the first time “Muscle Car” purchaser looking to have fun, or the long-time collector looking to add to an existing collection. The first box to be checked off is “appearance”. How appealing does it look? At first glance, the Navajo Orange is an eye catcher and combines well with the beige bucket interior. The front end looks aggressive and sucks you in with dual snorkel functioning “Ram Air” hood. The sleek, bold styling of the car exudes a classy confident attitude. The second box is “performance”. This Firebird performs just as good as it looks. It boasts a 400 cubic inch numbers matching motor, along with a 4-barrel carburetor and “Ram Air” option. All you need to do is step on the gas to awaken the sleeping giant. Power is transferred from the engine through a Turbo Hydromatic 400 automatic transmission to a 10 bolt posi-traction rear end which now houses 3.42 gears. The third box is “value”. To some this may be the most important box. How do you determine value or forecast value in a car? There are several factors that affect this category: two of which are already checked off. Let’s think in the terms of supply and demand. In 1973, Pontiac only produced 4,622 Formula 400 cars. Many fell victim to the crusher or salvage yard. Some were torn apart and key authentic components were replaced with non-original parts. Others are parked in non-operating condition and rusted out in a field, barn, or garage. Very few of the 4,622 that were produced made it to 2018 with original equipment that were also kept in prestigious condition. Of the 4,622 Formula 400 vehicles, only 533 had the functioning “Ram Air” hood. Yes, this is one of the 533 born with that very special option. Another factor of determining value is, “can you prove the car is what it is?” Yes, with documentation, VIN, data plate, and number stampings, which this 73 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 Ram Air has. Lastly, with Camaro’s fetching top tier prices, the focus has turned to what the next “Muscle Car” to ignite is. Buying trends are already showing favorable promise to the second-generation Firebirds. When you take all of this into consideration, this car is a trustworthy investment. Most of all, you can hop in and enjoy cruising it while your investment appreciates. You can place a big check mark in this box! Options include (cold) Air Conditioning, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, Rally Wheels, and Posi Traction. This 1973 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 Ram Air is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. 1976 Pontiac Trans Am

1976 Pontiac Trans Am

Engine: 455 CID H.O V8
Transmission: T-10 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 57,461 ( actual )

For sale in the Nashville show room is a red hot 1976 Pontiac Trans Am, powering this 1976 Pontiac Trans Am for sale is a 455CID V8 that is tossing power to the ground like beads at a New Orleans festival. Backing this 455Cid V8 is a four speed Manual transmission. This car is the sheer embodiment of 70’s muscle cars with a rumble that and growl that’s fit for a dragstrip and rocket ship, power at the tip of your toes and a force at your fingertip. The exterior color is the famous Buccaneer red that has the classic Trans Am logo across the hood. If you’re over 40 you’ll have a profound appreciation for its look of brute strength and power. If you’re looking to help the world, save emissions and are looking to save the ozone layer this powerful beast of a machine just might be for you! Because you can out run any Prius chasing you. Returning for what was to be its final season (again?) was the optional 455 V8, still labeled in H.O. guise. Once again, the 455 was packaged, including the confidence inducing semi-metallic front brake pads. As a 4-speed manual was still the required transmission with the big motor, California cars were not allowed this combination (nor any other 4-speeds, for that matter). The single exhaust system was unchanged from 1975 and exited through dual tail pipes with chrome splitters. The rear bumper was also covered in a soft urethane with a depression in the center, eliminating the false bumper bar. This theme made the Trans Am a much more complete looking car. The tail lamps were still of body color and stretched from the corner of the rear end to the license plate recess. With all the muscle cars available to you the Trans Am is as American as apple pie and “Sweet Home Alabama.” Features on this 1976 Pontiac Trans Am for sale include: air conditioning, am/fm radio, power steering, Power brakes, horse power, tilt wheel, seat belts, vinyl interior, radial tires that are wrapping rally wheels to boot and much more. 1974 Pontiac Grand Prix

Engine: 400 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 74,403 ( actual )

For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is this beautiful 1974 Pontiac Grand Prix. This is one of the best original survivor cars that we have seen here in our South Florida showroom. With less than 75k original miles on the clock the car is in overall great condition. The original paint is in superb condition for being over 44 years old. We checked all body panels with our paint meter and this is the real deal. Thin and good looking. The same goes with the interior. All original and clean from the dash to the rear bench seat. Jump in the buckets seats and start her up. The 400ci V8 engine sounds strong and it is a pleasure to cruise around town in this clean 74 Grand Prix. The 3 speed automatic transmission shifts smooth through all gears. We are always amazed when those original survivor cars roll in our showrooms. Unfortunately this doesn’t happen every day. If you are looking to get an all original mid 70’s Pontiac Grand Prix than this is a must have for you. The chance to find one in comparable condition is pretty slim, especially in this beautiful color combination. The GP is equipped with following options: A/C, Spare Tire, AM/FM Radio, Power Steering, Power Steering, Jack, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, White Walls, Rally Wheels and a lot of fun. This is the real deal and must see. Please give us a call to discuss the Pontiac. Let it ride!!! 1973 Pontiac Lemans

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 11,651 ( actual )

Now available for sale in our Milwaukee showroom is this beautiful 1973 Pontiac Lemans. This one-owner Lemans sports a beautiful blue exterior with a white leather interior. Everything on this Lemans is original, with 11,651 miles on it. This Lemans comes with AM/FM radio, power brakes, power steering, radial tires, spare tire and jack. You’ll enjoy the smooth ride that the 350 cubic inch engine coupled with a 3-speed automatic transmission delivers to the road. The 1973 Le Mans, along with all other GM intermediates, was new from the ground up but retained the same wheelbase lengths of 112 inches for two-door coupes, and 116 inches for four-door sedans and station wagons. All models featured the federally mandated 5-mile-per-hour front bumpers along with single headlights. Handling capabilities were greatly improved on all models due to new front-suspension components shared with the F-body Pontiac Firebird and Chevrolet Camaro, improved rear-coil suspension and bias-belted tires (except Grand Ams, which got radial tires). Engine offerings were carried over from 1972 with revisions to meet the 1973 emission requirements. This 1973 Pontiac Lemans is for sale in our Milwaukee Showroom and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com; call (262) 891-4253 or email us at milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com for additional information. 1974 Pontiac Grand Prix

1974 Pontiac Grand Prix

Engine: 400 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 54,981 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to offer a super clean 1974 Grand Prix Model J. There is a class of vehicle which is becoming more and more difficult to find: original and unrestored. With the popularity of resto-mods, or complete frame off restorations, there are fewer and fewer survivors out there. This particular 1974 Pontiac Grand Prix is an unrestored car with 54,986 original miles. The engine and trans are original and believed to have never been out of the car. It has the 400 CID V8 and an automatic which run and shift beautifully. The exterior is green which is in surprising great shape for the age of the vehicle. Needless to say, most mid 70s muscle cars have either been wrapped around trees or rusted to pieces. It great to see such a well-preserved piece of Pontiac history. Opening the door is like stepping back in time. The green upholstery is in wonderful condition as is the dash and steering wheel. This was a high line vehicle in the 70s, so it’s loaded with all the goodies: Air Conditioning, AM/FM/Cassette, power steering, power brakes, and even power windows! Whether you’re a Pontiac collector, or just entering the classic car hobby, this cream puff 1974 Grand Prix Model J would be a great addition to any collection. You can see this beauty in greater detail in our Chicago showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 708-444-4488 or chicago@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries. 1975 Pontiac Grandville

1975 Pontiac Grandville

Engine: 455 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 81,050 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars in Scottsdale, Arizona loves Pontiacs and has great pride in offering up this rarely-seen and well-maintained 1975 Pontiac Gran Ville Brougham convertible. The Gran Ville was Pontiac’s top-trim model in their lineup of cars from 1971 through 1974 and “Brougham” was added to the name of the model in 1975. Standard equipment in the final year of production of the 1975 Grand Ville Brougham Convertible included power windows and a carpeted trunk. Other equipment included with this light blue beauty is a tilt wheel, power locks, power brakes, power steering, an AM/FM Radio with 8-track tape player, A/C and cruise control. The interior is adorned with power white leather seats to match the convertible top paired with blue carpeting and accents. The ‘70’s oil crisis meant higher fuel prices, gasoline shortages, long lines at the pumps and reduced production and sales of new, full-sized “gas guzzlers”. Despite this, Pontiac still gave their customers what they wanted and more in their flagship for 1975 with a 400 cubic-inch engine standard. This numbers matching (Gateway Classic Cars can neither confirm or verify the claims of their consigners regarding matching numbers, actual miles, etc.) Gran Ville Brougham, however, has the optional 455 cubic-inch engine matched with a 5-speed Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission. Each of the Gran Ville Brougham’s corporate cousins, the Oldsmobile 88 Royale, Buick LeSabre/Centurion, Chevrolet Caprice Classic and Cadillac Eldorado produced more vehicles in 1975 than did Pontiac in their Brougham. You’ll see by viewing Gateway Classic Cars web page dedicated to this 1975 Gran Ville Brougham Convertible, with its over 100 pictures and a video of it in operation, that Pontiac spared no expense in bringing this beautiful car to life. Find it, and many other incredible classic and exotic cars in the Scottsdale, Arizona Showroom by going to gatewayclassiccars.com or call (623)-900-4884 to set up an appointment to see them all.
