Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta proudly presents a 1967 Ford Eleanor Mustang. Everybody knows the real star of the last Gone in 60 Seconds movie was the car. Under the hood, things get real serious with a professionally built 351W based engine. Total cubic displacement comes in at a whopping 427 inches! The engine was built by Unique Performance systems with Edlelbrock Victor Jr. heads. The 427 is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission that sends the power to a rock-solid Ford 9-inch rear end. 1954 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible

1954 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible

Engine: 250 Inline 6
Transmission: 2 Speed Powerglide
Mileage: 667 ( since rebuilt )

This 1954 Chevrolet Corvette is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. When initially released in 1953 the Corvette was intended to compete with the smaller European sports cars of that era. Harley Earl developed the initial design which was sleek smaller 2 seat sports car that looked amazing and caught everyone’s attention, but the price would seem to be a major setback. Having that said GM would only sell 3640 units in 1954 making these extremely collectible today. This particular beauty has been treated to a yearlong frame off restoration with pictures and receipts included with the sale. Once completed the car was driven for about 600 miles and put on display at the Corvette museum in Bowling Green KY for enthusiasts to enjoy. The body was taken off and stripped down and then painted back to its original white color which still looks amazing today. With all of the chrome either replaced or brought back to its original luster it easy to see why so many caught the Corvette bug. The frame was treated to the same process which not only insured the structural integrity but gave the underneath a fresh and clean look. The original, numbers matching, blue flame six was cleaned up with the original 2 speed power glide given the same treatment. With the engine and transmission back together, they were placed back onto that freshly painted frame. With the body completed it was dropped back onto the frame giving this 1954 Corvette its new lease on life. The red interior was the last step with the red really popping against that white exterior. The tan convertible top is in excellent shape and shows well but this car was meant to be seen with the top down. Press the button between the seats and place the top in the hidden storage area and the 1954 Corvette has the look of a true roadster. When it is all said and done this Corvette is sure to make the next owner a very happy person. Options on this 1954 Corvette include a Manual Convertible Top, Leather Interior, AM Radio, Hubcaps and, Bias Ply White Wall Tires. This 1954 Chevrolet Corvette can be seen, including an HD video, at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call at 812-294-1555 or email Louisville@gatewayclassiccars.com for more information.

1981 Jeep CJ5

1981 Jeep CJ5

Engine: 268 CID I6
Transmission: 4- Speed Manual
Mileage: 5,000 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer this 1981 CJ-5 Jeep Renegade! This one is powered by a 268 CID I6 with a T176 4-speed transmission. It has an AMC 20 and 3:31 gears and has only covered about 5,000 miles since the build. The exterior is finished in black PMG paint with a tan vinyl interior. The build was performed by Houston Gear and the quality is excellent. This Jeep is outfitted with an AM/FM radio, manual convertible top, spare tire, tilt wheel, seat belts, vinyl interior, radial tires, raised white letters and aluminum alloy wheels. The Willys CJ-5 (after 1964 Jeep CJ-5) was influenced by new corporate owner, Kaiser, and the Korean War M38A1 Jeep. It was intended to replace the CJ-3B, but that model continued in production. The CJ-5 repeated this pattern, continuing in production for three decades while three newer models appeared. "The CJ-5 has the distinct honor of being a vehicle that was hard to kill off... equaling the longest production run of note. From 1980 to 1983, the CJ-5 came standard with a "Hurricane"-branded version of the GM Iron Duke I4 with an SR4 close-ratio, four-speed manual transmission. The 258 cu in (4.2 L) AMC straight-6 engine remained available as an option, but the transmission was changed from the Tremec T-150 three-speed to a Tremec T-176 close-ratio four-speed. The Dana 30 front axle was retained, but the locking hubs were changed to a five-bolt retaining pattern versus the older six-bolt. The demise of the AMC CJ5 model has been attributed to a December 1980 60 Minutes segment where the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) staged a demonstration to illustrate that the CJ5 was apt to roll over "in routine road circumstances at relatively low speeds." Years later, it was revealed the testers only managed to achieve eight rollovers out of 435 runs through a corner. The IIHS requested the testers implement "vehicle loading" (hanging weights in the vehicle's corners inside the body, where they were not apparent to the camera) to generate worst-case conditions for stability Don’t miss your chance to get behind the wheel of this one. Contact Gateway Classic Cars in Houston for more information. Financing and shipping options are available. Office hours are Monday through Saturday 9-5pm central time. The telephone number for our showroom is (832) 243-6220 or if you prefer, you can email us at houston@gatewayclassiccars.com.
