1968 Dodge Dart

Engine: 451 Big Block V8
Transmission: 2 Speed Powerglide
Mileage: 67107 ( undocumented )

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1968 dodge Dart. This bad to the bone Dart is both show and go! The meticulous restoration was a no expense spared job that included a lot of high performance goodies. Power comes from a built 451 based from a 400 block that features aluminum main caps, Veolia Pistons, Bill Mille aluminum rods, 3.375 billet crank and roller cam and lifters. The cylinder heads are aluminum Indy 440 1 cylinder heads as well as an Indy aluminum intake manifold and a CNC ported valley pan. It's equipped with a Milidon oiling system, Milidon oil pan, custom push rods, K Motion valve springs, Stainless steel valves with lockers and retainers, Mopar performance aluminum water pump and a Holley 1050 Dominator carburetor. Exhaust and the menacing sounds that emit from this power house come out of custom headers, exhaust and Borla mufflers. This power needs something just as stout to transfer the power back to the rear wheels. Accomplishing that is a TCI Power Glide transmission, TCI torque converter, Jerry Bickel Chromoly drive shaft with billet trans and rear end yokes, Strange 9 inch with 40 spline spool, 4.56:1 gears and Strange 40 spline axles. Putting the power to ground is no easy task. Accomplishing this feat are Strange double adjustable rear shocks, Chassis Works ladder bar, Strange struts, Strange Rack and Pinion steering and 19.5 Mickey Thompsons wrapped around Weld Racing Aluma Star wheels. Up front are 26x5 Good Years also wrapped around Weld Racing Aluma Stars. Slowing things down is drama free thanks to a set of Strange four wheel disc brakes, Strange master cylinder and steel braided brake lines. Safety is one thing that shouldn't be taken for granted and certainly not missed. This one is ready to hold you in place and keep you safe. Doing so is a custom 12 point roll cage and Stroud 5 point racing belts. Other notable build details include a Hurst roll control line lock, Hurst Quarter Stick shifter, Griffin radiator, Barry Grant fuel system (400 pump & 4 port regulator), Painless wiring harness, Jazz 15 gallon fuel cell and of course beautiful workmanship that shows through and through. 1967 Dodge Power Wagon

Engine: 454 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 107 ( since rebuilt )

For sale in our Nashville showroom is a 1967 Dodge Power Wagon need I say more? I guess I do. OK, open up Webster’s dictionary flip to the T’s, beside the word truck, that what a power wagon looks like. Riding on 20” rims and massive 11.00.20 tires (about 4 feet tall) this is a TRUCK. When it comes to power plants what would you put under the hood of this 67 Power Wagon for sale? Hemi? Sure, if you can find one, cheap enough. Or Big Block Chevy, yea, four hundred fifty four cubic inches of torque and power. This 454 CID RAT motor is packed with all the right goodies like a high lift roller cam, high rise intake and Holley® double pumping four barrel carburetor. This combination is said to produce over 400 horsepower,,,,you think! I think this combo is packing enough power to pull a house off it’s foundation, ok maybe it’s a small house. Backing this raunchy Rat is a turbo 400 that was rebuilt the same time as the engine, just about four years ago. The body was worked primed and painted the same time and the chassis was covered in black making this Power Wagon for sale looking fresh and new, but you know all this you just looked through all the photos. Just getting in to the driver’s seat of this truck your biceps will grow 3 inches, mainly of course because of the lack of power steering, but who needs power steering with all the power under the hood. This is a man’s truck so if you like plowing through mud or climbing over rock wall or just driving over the slower traffic in front of you (the last one not recommended) this is the truck for you. Options for this Power Wagon for sale include: Seat belts, and vinyl interior, Massive tires and Horsepower, what else do you need?!? 1968 Dodge Dart Pro Street

Engine: 605 CID Hemi Big Block
Transmission: Automatc
Mileage: 0 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this 1968 Dodge Dart Pro Street “Indy Cylinder Head built the Dart”. It has a Hemi -- 605 cubic inches monster engine! That was reflected on the dyno sheets that Indy supplied with the engine: 836.8 horsepower and 752 lb.-ft of torque. The Hemi was teamed with an equally stout J.W. Performance Transmission–built 727 with a 4,200-stall converter and a narrowed rear end equipped with Strange axles and a Detroit Locker that are up to the task of taming all that Hemi power. Outside, what was left of the original Dart’s body structure was plenty enough to build from, once the floors and quarters were replaced with new steel. AAR Fiberglass’ bolt-on hood, bumper, front fender, doors, and decklid reproductions -- plus a ’68 Super Stock–style hood scoop -- were fitted and installed before the two-stage Sikkens Viper Red enamel went on. Inside, it’s a combination of race-car safety hardware and high-end cruiser, with leather covering the SCAT racing seats, dash and door panels, and custom carpets on the floors. As for a sound system, the Hemi’s custom-fabbed exhaust system is for that purpose. Engine: There’s big, there’s huge—and then there’s this Indy Cylinder Head–built Street Legend Hemi. Displacing 605 inches, it features Indy’s aluminum 41/2-inch bore block, with a forged Callies crankshaft and Eagle H-beam rods, forged 10.75:1 compression Wiseco pistons, and a Comp Cams solid-roller camshaft. A pair of Indy’s 426-1RA heads, ported Indy intake with a 1050-cfm Holley Dominator, MSD ignition, and a custom-built exhaust system finalize the overgrown air pump. Transmission: J.W. Performance Transmission-built 727 with a reverse–manual valvebody, 9-inch/4,200 stall convertor with a trans brake, B&M shifter, and a Gear Vendors overdrive. Rear: Narrowed 9-inch is filled with a 4.56-geared Detroit Locker differential and Strange axles. Suspension: (Front) Art Morrison’s Super Strut, (Rear) X-link with Strange coilovers and ladder bars. Brakes: Four-wheel discs with Wilwoods in front and Strange Engineering rotors and calipers in the rear. Wheels/Tires: Welds and Mickey Thompsons (Front) 15x4½-inch wheels on 26x7.50x15 M/T Sportsman tires, (Rear) 15x14-inch Double Beadlock wheels on M/T’s 32x17.50x15 ET Streets. Paint/Body: Original unibody had its floors and trunk replaced before it was fitted to the round-tube frame. AAR Fiberglass provided the hood, front fenders, trunk lid, and bumpers, and Rick Perry (aided by Don Reese and Ron Sheed) got it all ready for the Sikkens two-stage Viper Red enamel. Interior: Fernando Torres custom-stitched the SCAT Sportsman race bucket seats, door panels, and dash pad in tan leather with matching suede inserts. Steering wheel is a repro Tuff one on a Flaming River tilter, and tan/brown carpets cover the floors. This is one serious bad boy, gas sucking, tire evaporating machine! She will really get up and go! This car is truly one of a kind. This is the one you want to own. Make it yours today. This 1968 Dodge Dart Pro Street is for sale in our Orlando Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. 1966 Dodge Charger

Engine: 318 V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Auto
Mileage: 5722 ( undocumented )

Take a step back to the mid-1960’s, when muscle cars were really coming of age with this beautiful 1966 Dodge Charger. This Indigo blue Charger packs a 318 wide poly block engine topped with a rare 2-4 barrel manifold with 2 AFB carbs, cam lift 450” Duration 272d, coupled to a 727 automatic transmission and TTI headers. You will love the power brakes, power steering, 15 X 7 Super Supreme mags and the molded hood scoop. The blue leather interior is all original and very clean! During the early-1960s, automakers were exploring new ideas in the personal luxury and specialty car segments. Chrysler, fast to enter the specialty car market, selected their Dodge Division to enter the marketplace with a mid-size B-bodied sporty car to fit between the "pony car" Ford Mustang and "personal luxury" Ford Thunderbird. The intention was to create a fastback look while sharing as much existing company hardware as possible. The Coronet-based Charger that resulted was introduced in mid-season of the 1966 model year in retaliation to the Rambler Marlin, Ford Mustang, and Plymouth Barracuda. Style-wise it was a complete departure from the Dodge's mainstream cars. The 1965 Marlin, along with the Charger that arrived during the 1966 model year, were the two cars set the standard for radical fastback design in American mid-size automobiles because it was an intermediate like the Rambler Marlin, the Charger could have been an aesthetic disaster, but long side windows prevented its sweeping roof from looking too heavy. This 1966 Charger is for sale in our Milwaukee Showroom and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com; call (262) 891-4253 or email us at milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com for additional information.

1968 Dodge Dart GTS

Engine: 340 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 300 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars now has a very special and beautiful 1968 Dodge Dart GTS Convertible available in Houston! This one is powered by a numbers matching 340 CID V8 engine that goes through a factory TorqueFlite transmission. This engine has only covered less than 500 miles since the car was restored in 2013. Exterior is finished in a red with black top combination. Features include an AM radio, automatic convertible top, hub caps, power brakes, power steering, jack, seat belts, vinyl interior and radial tires. This is part of the fourth generation of Dodge Dart vehicles produced between 1967 and 1976. The Dart was substantially redesigned for the 1967 model year. It received new styling, revised steering systems, wider front track and frame rail spacing. Redesigned K-members were added to accept the larger engines that Dodge had in mind for the car. In 1967 you would also notice the rear window with inverse curves, creating a new and unique appearance at the rear of a greenhouse, but designed to collect snow! The 170 CID I6 was dubbed simply “Dart”, with the 270 and GT carrying on mostly unchanged. In late 1967 the GTS came out in limited quantities due to it’s lateness, but the 1968 was arguably improved anyway, by fitting the new high-output 340 CID V8! That is the car that you are looking at here. The first of the 340 GTS cars. Aside from the engine, changes for 1968 were relatively subtle. The park and turn lights in the grille were moved slightly inboard and made round. Side marker lights were added to the front fenders and rear quarter panels, to comply with newly introduced Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108. Shoulder harnesses (separate, this year and until 1973, from the lap belts) and non-glare matte finish on the windshield wiper arms were also part of the 1968 federally mandated safety package. This is a hard to find vehicle and a perfect addition to the garage. This beautiful Dart is in our Houston showroom. Come by and see us at 1910 Cypress Station Dr #200, Houston, TX 77090. You can contact the showroom at (832)243-6220 or email the at Houston@GatewayClassicCars.com
