Gateway Classic Cars welcomes this sharp 1982 Jaguar XJS to its Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ! The XJS was introduced in 1976 as an “evolution” of the E-type which saw its final days two years prior. Boasting crisp and aggressive styling cues, the XJS’ most notable feature is the angled “flying buttresses” that provide a visual conduit between the roof and tail of the car. This car wears a classy silver paint that is heavily complimented by a stunning black leather interior that conveys luxury and sport, synonymous with the Jaguar brand since its inception. The fierce cat centered on the steering wheel stares menacingly at its driver just as it does to on the hood to others. Woodgrain handsomely adorns the dash panel and pairs exquisitely with the black leather seats and center console. Calling the console home is a period mobile phone and the T-handled shifter that brings operator and machine together. Linked to the three-speed Borg-Warner automatic transmission, the XJS shifts flawlessly and floats along the road and gently hugs any corner in which it finds itself.

Providing the power to this sleek prowler is a High Efficiency(HE) 5.3L V-12 engine rated at 244 horsepower and capable of reaching speeds up to 150 miles per hour! Through the offering of this classic, you have the opportunity of owning a true example of fine craftsmanship. Take a drive in the same car that won first and second at the Royal Automobile Club Tourist Trophy race at Silverstone! Be unique, drive differently, choose Jaguar. 1989 Jaguar XJS

1989 Jaguar XJS

Engine: 350 CID SBC V8
Transmission: TH-350 Auto
Mileage: 79,999 ( undocumented )

We are excited to offer in our St. Louis showroom this beautiful look and smooth running British Racing Green 1989 Jaguar XJS Convertible. This one is priced to sell and ready to drive! This Jag is a bit different from your usual XJS, in that it is powered by a recently rebuilt Chevrolet 350 V8, rather than the stock Jaguar I6 or V12 Engine. The professional rebuild was done by Baldwin Racing in Missorri in 2018 and features an oversized cam and has been freshened up with new plugs and wires. It only has 200 miles since the rebuild and is under a two-year warranty. Backing this small block Chevrolet engine is a TH-350 automatic transmission, which means this 1989 Jaguar is sure to get you where you are going and get you there in style. Clad in the classic British Racing Green, this is a wonderful example of British style that Jaguar is known for. This 1989 XJS is completed by a tan, automatic soft top that just solidifies that old British look. The interior matches the top, with tan leather seats and tan carpeting and wood inserts that make it comfortable and pleasant to cruise down the road in, while maintaining the poise that Britain is known for. While in this 1989 Jaguar you can cruise with the top down, this Jaguar XJS is a great ride for driving around town or down the highway in a beautiful classic. Options on this 1989 Jaguar XJS Convertible include: Air Conditioning (has new compressor needs to be enabled), Power Brakes, Cruise Control, Radial Tires, Power Steering, Power Top, Tilt/Telescopic Wheel, AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Heated Seats, Aluminum/Alloy Wheels, Power Windows, Leather Interior. 1987 Jaguar XJ6

1987 Jaguar XJ6

Engine: 4.2L I6 F DOHC 24V
Transmission: 4 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 52,637 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 1987 Jaguar XJ-6. Discussions of Jaguar's classic XJ6 are invariably emotional. What other four-door sedan on the market combined such beauty, such athleticism, such luxurious accommodations, such desirability, such a reasonable price...and for a few years? Jaguar's escape from the imploding British Leyland and the insertion of new management in the late 1970s finally allowed the brand to once more focus on its core mission, and to improve its cars' build quality. The superb Series III XJ6, considered the last of company founder Sir William Lyons's cars, became Jaguar's salvation and crowning achievement in the 1980s, and today remains a sparkling everyday-driveable collector car. The last Series III XJ6 was built in May of 1987, and it marked the last installation of the vaunted XK engine in a production Jaguar. The improved build quality and reliability that made these cars so desirable when new has meant that a surprising number of nice examples remain available today, and they don't suffer from the electronic complexity or updated styling of their square-edged "XJ40" descendants. Options on this 1987 Jaguar XJ-6 for sale in our Indianapolis showroom include; Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with Cassette Player, Leather Interior, Power Steering, Power Windows, Telescopic Steering column, and steel with hub caps shod with radial tires.
