Gateway Classic Cars presents this 1972 Ford Maverick at our Philadelphia showroom! I can honestly say that this Maverick is in better condition than the day it was new. It is the most correct 1972 Maverick that I have ever seen. The car is restored to original standards and equipment level as verified by a Deluxe Marti Report. The Gold Glow Metallic Paint Ford #5079-A and the Ginger / Black Cloth/Vinyl Bench seat are as pristine as they were in 1972. The last time you saw a Maverick like this was in a Ford showroom over 40 years ago. The Maverick was originally conceived and marketed as a subcompact "import fighter", intended to do battle with the Volkswagen Beetle and newer Japanese rivals for North America from Honda, Datsun, and Toyota. The Falcon, Ford's compact offering since 1960 and main rival to the Chevrolet Nova and Dodge Dart, had seen its sales decimated by the introduction of the Mustang in 1964, and despite a redesign in 1966, was unable to meet the then forthcoming U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration motor vehicle standards that would come into effect on January 1, 1970. Consequently, the Falcon was discontinued midway through the 1970 model year, and the Maverick repositioned as Ford's compact entry, giving the Nova and Dart a new rival. The Maverick's styling featured the long hood, fastback roof, and short deck popularized by the Mustang. It featured simple and inexpensive to manufacture pop-out rear side windows rather than roll-downs. This Maverick is well optioned with, Tinted Glass, Vinyl Top, C-4 Automatic, Power steering, Air Conditioning, AM radio, Accent Group, Interior Trim Option, Rear Defogger and Tinted Glass Complete. Oh, and of course the 302 ci V8. 1971 Ford F100

1971 Ford F100

Engine: 351 Bored to 409 CID V8
Transmission: 5 Speed Manual
Mileage: 2,810 ( undocumented )

In the market for a fully restored classic short bed pickup truck? You definitely need to take a closer look at this very well done 1971 Ford F-100! Starting off its life here in Colorado this truck was loved and cared for over many years, and once the current owner got their hands on it, this truck received a complete frame-off restoration. The concept was to build a truck that would be able to do both long cruises while not becoming a boring daily driver. The drivetrain chosen for this truck was a stroked 351 Windsor that dyno’d around 450 horsepower and 500 ft/lbs. of torque! This powerhouse of an engine would surely be plenty to get this truck going in a hurry so to not lose the drivability that was desired, it was backed up by a Keisler 5-speed manual transmission with a hydraulic clutch giving you an overdrive gear and keeping the fun factor at an all time high. What good is all of this power though if the rear end of the truck cannot handle it? To make sure this wouldn’t be an issue the strong Ford 9” rear end was equipped with Moser 31-spline axles and a true track locking differential. This drivetrain overall will hold up well to the power that is being put out by the engine without sacrificing any reliability. Helping the truck to handle as well as they’d hope, the front end had a Rod & Custom Mustang II front suspension put underneath and the rear of the truck was lowered to give it that great rake. Power rack and pinion steering and power brakes allow excellent control of the truck and make it simple to take on long cruises. Also adding to the comfort is a set of modern F-150 bucket seats and a center council that not only fit great, but also are extraordinarily comfortable to ride in. The aftermarket AM/FM radio in the truck will allow you to listen to your favorite tunes throughout your drive. The body and paint on this truck are also very well done with a gorgeous blue paint that was laid over the top of the cleaned up body. All of the side moldings removed, seams welded and flushed, and the locking tailgate flushed really add to the clean look of this F-100. If you are looking for a truck that is going to be a great mix of performance and drivability, this is an excellent option!

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to offer this 1973 Ford Mustang Convertible for sale in their Indianapolis showroom. Just in time for the summer cruising season, this yellow drop-top is sure to turn a few heads as you roll past. The Mustang is an American classic, and they have been sought after and revered since their introduction in 1964 ½. The fourth generation Mustangs were built from 1971-1973 model years, with 1973 being the last year of the “pony car” era. The Mustang fell victim to the energy crunch of the day, and the following year changed focus to a more economical car. This Mustang has been in the care of its current owner for the past 27 years. In that time the car has benefitted from new floor pans, a new hood, and repaint, as well as interior upgrades and regular engine maintenance. The original carburetor, intake and AM 8-track audio unit, as well as, rear seat interior trim panels are all available as a part of the sale. The factory air conditioning system is currently inoperable and would need properly diagnosed to determine what’s wrong. Power comes from the tried and true 351 C V8, mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. 1972 Ford Ranchero

1972 Ford Ranchero

Engine: 429 CID V8
Transmission: C4
Mileage: 63,607 ( undocumented )

This 1972 Ford Ranchero is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The Ranchero was made by Ford from 1957 to 1979 as a coupe utility. Based off a 2-door station wagon platform where the cab and bed were integrated in one seamless piece. 1967 is when the Ranchero, like many vehicles of that era, got its first true taste of Muscle. The available FE Big Block 390 allowed for an amazing 315 HP from the factory. The 390 would be so successful Ford would start offering it’s revolutionary 428 CJ engine in mid-68 placing an exclamation point on performance. Then in 1970 they would blow them all away with 429 Super Cobra Jet engines. This 1972 has taken that same concept while taking this 63000 original mile Ranchero and turning it into the monster you see now. Originally a California car it was brought here, and the work began. The body was in decent condition, so the owner decided a paint job was in order. The House of Color Tangelo Orange looks great and guaranteed to grab anyone’s attention. The black graphics running across the side help to break it up while giving the car a sporty look. The hood with its simulated ram air scoop lets people know that this is not your average Ranchero. Pop that hood and that 429 is staring right back at you. The big 4-barrel carb feeds this big block just the right amount of gas. The recently rebuilt C4 transmission handles all that power while shifting through all 3 speeds effortlessly. Going down the road this Ranchero has a great feel with the steering and suspension gone through as well. Of course, you want to be able to stop this 72 and with the recently done brake job you should not have any worries. Inside the cab you will find a recently redone interior with the tan complimenting the exterior nicely. The bench seat is comfortable making those longer trips much more enjoyable. If you have been wanting to get a UTE that has a different look and plenty of power under the hood this 1972 Ranchero is a great choice. Options on this 1972 Ford Ranchero include; Power Steering, Power Brakes, Cloth/Vinyl Interior and Set of Custom Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. This 1972 Ford Ranchero can be seen, including an HD video, at www.gatewayclassiccars.com, call at 812-294-1555 or email Louisville@gatewayclassiccars.com for more information.
