Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is thrilled to have a 1986 Mustang GT Convertible with 779 original miles. The big news for 1986 was the new fuel injected high output 5.0L roller cam engine that was rated at 200hp. This engine featured a newly developed SEFI fuel injection system tuned to a long runner aluminum intake and a 58mm throttle body (550cfm). The engine block featured additional supports around the cylinder and deck areas and used siameses bores for greater rigidity. Pistons were cast forged and when stuffed in the block achieved a 9.2 to 1 compression ratio. The heads were E6SE fast burn combustion chamber heads which breathed through tubular exhaust. The brains of the fuel injection system was the EEC-IV processor which was truly a marvel of electrical engineering at the time it was released. The exterior of the Mustang GT was indistinguishable from the 1985 model in all regards but the addition of a 3rd brake light on the rear spoiler. Color choices were varied although no new exterior colors were introduced. All GT Mustangs received the 10-hole aluminum wheels with the Gatorback tires developed by Goodyear. Included on GT's were GT badging in front of the rear wheels, hood strip, front and rear spoiler, and fog lamps. The interior of the Mustang GT was also a carryover from 1985 with the exception of a new Canyon Red interior color that this car has, for convertible models. Is there really anything else that you need to say about this car. This car is still on the original title issued to the owner when he purchased it in 1986. It is equipped with a 5.0 and 5-speed manual transmission. It has been stored since purchased and is untouched without even a detail. The Bright Red original paint and Canyon Red Cloth interior are in new condition. This car was stored in a climate controlled environment and is not a barn find that has been weathered over the years. Don’t miss the opportunity to make this very rare low mileage Fox Body your own. The Fox bodies are starting to rise in the market and are the latest Mustangs to catch the attention of enthusiasts and demand is rising. With only 779 miles this must be one of the lowest mileage 1986 Mustang GT Convertibles in the world. We have a 1988 Mustang GT in stock at our PHILLY STORE. In August 1986, the Mustang received a facelift for the 1987 model year on both the interior and exterior. The front end was restyled to look more like the SVO which gave the car more of an "Aero" look, in keeping with Ford's overall modern styling direction. The interior received an all new dash, center console and revised seat and door trim. With the SVO discontinued, models were now pared down to LX and GT. Taillights on the GT now wore specific body-colored triple louvered lenses. The quarter glass windows lost their louvers and now sported a single larger flush piece of glass lettered with "Mustang" at the bottom rear corners. GTs featured new round fog lamps and gained aerodynamic lower bodyside skirting and new turbine style 15-inch (380 mm) wheels. This is an original Mustang in excellent condition. It has been maintained very well and recently refurbished with a new headliner, radiator, starter, AC hoses and valve cover gaskets. This is one of only 3747 1988 Mustangs produced with T-Tops. The exterior is Black, and the interior is Medium Gray Cloth with Articulated sports seats. The engine is the 5.0 Liter that was made famous in the Mustang. It is backed up by a 5 speed transmission and a Traction Loc rear. This 1988 Mustang also has AM FM premium sound, Speed control, rear defroster and illuminated vanity mirrors. It also features power windows and locks. This pony is very well equipped. Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer up this super clean 1989 Ford Mustang GT. Between the deep red paint and the mean exhaust note, this sweet ride is sure to put a smile on the new owners' face. Under the hood of this beauty is the stock 5.0-liter V8 that pulls well and provides plenty of power for a fun, spirited drive. Sending power to the rear end is a C4 four-speed automatic transmission that shifts smoothly through the gears while staying firm enough for and engaged driving experience. The rear end ratio is 2.73 to provide a better top end peroformance rather than shorter gearing. The car sounds extra mean thanks to a new X-pipe Flowmaster exhaust. Overall, the powertrain of this beauty runs well and sounds just as good. Moving inward, the drivr will be greeted by white leather power seats that are in pretty good condition. These seats provide the occupants with good support while still being comfortable enough to sit in for longer drives. An added saftey feature, the car now has new maximum motorsports four-point roll bar with harness brace. Attached to that roll bar is a fire extinguisher mount. In the summer months the driver will appreciate the powered soft top that goes up and down with haste. If the driver is in the mood for a normal drive, the functioning air conditioning will keep the cabin cool. This car is of course also equipped with heat for those colder months. Power windows and power locks also add to the convenience features of this sweet ride. Overall, the interior is in good shape and is comfortable. Moving outward, the exterior is in very good condition featuring deep maroon paint with a good shine. The white soft top is also in very good condition and adds a good bit of contrast. The car sits atop new reproduction wheels wrapped in new summer performance tires. Overall, this is a very solid car that would be well suited as a daily driver or a weekend toy. Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 1989 Ford Mustang. This one-owner car started life as a factory 5.0 with manual transmission and fuel injection but has had plenty of upgrades since! Under the hood is a powerplant built by Gundermans Performance Engines right here in Indy. The huge list of upgrades gives this beast way more power than Ford had planned – 465 HP and 426 lb. ft. of torque at the flywheel. Power gets to the ground through a factory 8.8 but with upgraded 3.73 gears. A chrome cold-air intake sits atop the motor to provide function and a great look too. There are also plenty of cool bolt-on additions as seen in the photos to make this car one-of-a-kind. Body panels are all original with the exception of a ram-air style hood painted with accents to match the car. The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1986 Ford Mustang GT. If you are a car fanatic, then you can recognize the sound of a 5.0 bellowing out it’s tune as it runs hard down the street. This one has the symphony of that sweet V-8 tune in abundance. The 5-speed mated to one of the best modern American engines lets you row through the gears and enjoy what the road has to offer. This is clean car fax mustang with refreshed paint and Cobra rims. The Mustang doesn't feel like a Detroit heavyweight. Its dimensions are spare. It has balance. The wind noise is subdued. The ride is disciplined—maybe a little on the choppy side in its vertical motions over some rough stuff but not muscle-car harsh by any means. The steering knows where straight ahead is. The rear axle is sufficient¬ly stabilized that it doesn't launch you in surprising directions. And the car has legs. Long legs. There's always a longer gear when you need it. The Mustang GT is the kind of car that's never out of its element. You bring on the challenges. It can cope. Options include: Power steering, power brakes, anti-lock brakes, cloth interior, seat belts, radial tires, and alloy chrome wheels, am/fm radio. Our Atlanta Showroom is proud to offer this 1988 Saleen Ford Mustang. This is a beautiful example of a clean car fax Saleen to bring back all the memories of this motor sporting legend. In 1988 Saleen Mustang Saleen Mustang saw minor changes from 1987; Monroe shock absorbers, Pioneer sound system, and a Saleen 170 speedo/tach. The radar detector was no longer standard equipment. All Saleens were converted from hatchback LX, coupe LX, or convertible LX Mustang models. They all had factory 5.0L V8 engines, five-speed manual transmission, 3.08 or 3.55 rear, and 225/60VR-15 tires. “Mustang on steroids” is one term that comes to mind when collectors think of the Ford coupes, hatchbacks and convertibles modified and massaged by former race driver Steve Saleen going back to 1983. His early creations began their lives as base Ford Mustang LX models (known internally as the “Fox platform”) delivered from the company’s Dearborn, Michigan plant with the big 302-cubic-inch V-8 engine and a few other options. They were shipped to Saleen’s California facility and given special suspensions and other performance upgrades, new body parts to enhance air flow and distinctive exteriors and interiors to make it absolutely clear you weren’t driving an ordinary Mustang. Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this awesome 1953 Ford F100. This ‘53 Ford F100 is the one you have been waiting for. Too often you see cars and trucks that have been personalized past the point of no return. Fortunately, that is not the case with this truck. Looking at this beautiful fire engine red truck is like an artist looking at an open idea. You can leave it the way it is and have loads of fun, or modify it to your liking. The overall stock look is very appealing with the bright red paint and black running boards. The simplistic chrome “dog dish” hub caps and painted steel wheels takes you down memory lane. There is just enough chrome displayed to add to the look, but not take away from the nostalgic feel. You don’t run into these 1953 Ford F100’s in this type of shape often. The simple basic feel carries right over into the light brown vinyl bench seat interior. This truck makes you want to hop in, drive to a huge open field, and sip a tall glass of lemonade. With only a few knobs and switches on the inside, the bright chrome gauge cluster captures your eyes showing speedometer, oil pressure, volts, water temp, and fuel. Powering this classic F100 is a Ford 289 “Y” block mated to a 3-speed manual transmission. Adding to the vintage package is the fact that it is “three on the tree.” It doesn’t get much better than this when it comes to a pure throwback classic. If it’s too tame for you, let your imagination run wild. The best thing about this 1953 Ford F100 is the fact you know exactly what you’re dealing with. Options include Spare Tire, Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, and a Wood Slat truck bed. Don’t miss your opportunity to take a trip down memory lane. There is still plenty of country roads out there to explore and car shows to pull up to. In the 1950’s the T-Bucket was named by Norm Grabowski and appeared in the show 77 Sunset Strip. An Icon was established that continues to live on amongst hot-rodders today. Titled as a 1927 Ford, this T-Bucket really stands out in the crowd with its black paint and hotrod blue flames. The brown vinyl interior and wood grain dash really add the finishing touch to this T-Bucket. Available now in our DFW Showroom is this impressive 1967 Ford Galaxie! Period advertisements boasted that the Ford Galaxie 500 was quieter than a Rolls-Royce, which was their way of boasting about how well the engineers had done in isolating the new frame from the new body. The reasons for this were practical enough, it was the first year since 1956 that the Ford and Mercury full-sized cars again shared their essential architecture, basic frame and basic body structures (with variations), in a bid to increase profitability. The 1967 version of the Galaxie was reskinned, which produced new two-door hardtop/fastback rooflines. The LTD variant now shared the two-door roofline, but the rear side glass shape was altered for a more formal appearance, and technically speaking, LTD became a series of its own this year. This Ford Galaxie underwent a full restoration in 2008, at this time the motor was rebuilt along with the transmission too. The black and red interior, including matching dash, really stands out. Especially with the word “Galaxie” stitched on both the passenger and driver side bench seat and “Ford” in the backseat. It is also equipped with a set of Boston-acoustic speakers. Which can really help you hear the tunes as you’re flying around in this vehicle, windows down and wind in your hair. What is it that’s creating that wind? No folks, that’s not just a 390 decal on the side, that’s what this bad boy comes with, a rebuilt 390CID-315HP 4BBL, with a 4-speed manual transmission. No question, it was made to get you where you’re going in a hurry. Finally, all this is riding around on a quality set of American Racing Wheels. To view this vehicle in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and videos, visit our website at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
