Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia welcomes this iconic luxury car, a 1963 Ford Thunderbird, to its Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ! Ford had introduced the T-Bird in 1955 to counter Chevy’s Corvette and something clicked with buyers as the T-bird line continued to impress throughout the years. Interestingly, the Thunderbird departed from the performance market starting in the late 50s and was transformed into a signature luxury vehicle. The 1963 Thunderbird represented the last year of the third generation of the car and features some changes including AM/FM Radio and vacuum assisted door locks. This car boasts the sleek styling of the third generation Thunderbirds and conveys the quintessential space age designs as seen on both the exterior and interior. Wearing beautiful black paint done in 2014, this car conveys some serious class with T-bird emblems, rocket taillights and streamlined front and rear. Open the door and move over the steering wheel with ease. Take note of the classy beige interior, redone in early 2017, featuring front power bucket seats, large center console, new dashboard/padding and an attractive instrument panel. Powering this vehicle is the original 390CID V8 linked to a three-speed cruise-o-matic transmission that gets you down the road with ease! Don’t let this black beauty get away! Give our friendly sales staff a call and take this gorgeous car home today! Additional features include Power Brakes, Power Steering, AM/FM Radio and Power Windows.

1965 Ford Thunderbird

1965 Ford Thunderbird

Engine: 390 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 83,507 ( actual )

This beautiful two owner 1965 Ford Thunderbird is for sale currently in our Denver showroom. The original light blue paint has been meticulously cared for throughout the years and it definitely shows! Thanks partly to this car never having been driven in inclement weather. Both owners of this 4th Generation Thunderbird treated it much like it was a part of their family. It was stored indoors at all times and put away during winter months only driven for enjoyment in most cases. The original 390 cubic inch V8 starts with the greatest of ease and purrs like a kitten. With just over 12,000 miles on a complete rebuild and never having missed a scheduled maintenance this thing runs down the road better than when it was new. Helping transmit the power to the road is the 3 speed automatic transmission that has also been professionally rebuilt around the same time as the engine. Sitting behind the swing-a-way steering wheel takes you back in time to when aviation and vehicles shared each others styling ques. Everything from the heater controls to the gauge cluster make you feel as though you are preparing for takeoff! The bucket seats feel as though they have never been sat in and if you are lucky enough to be the driver you are treated to an adjustable seat that is power. Wraping around the original wheels is a set of radial tires that have just over 400 miles on thme. Rounding out the claissc looks of this piece of American history are the sequential taillights that look just as good when they are off as when they are lighting up. You can view this 1965 Ford Thunderbird in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. 1963 Ford Thunderbird

1963 Ford Thunderbird

Engine: 390 CID Bored .030
Transmission: Cruise-O-Matic
Mileage: 109,932 ( undocumented )

For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a stainless steel over red 1963 Ford Thunderbird. The 390 CID V8 engine was bored 0.030 over and professionally rebuilt with Speed-Pro pistons/rings, King/Clevite bearings, ARP fasteners, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and 750 CFM carburetor, Summit gold street-race oil pan, heads from a c4ae-g, and a c4ae-b (427) crank. All these additions and work have combined for an estimated 375 horsepower and 430 lb-ft torque! The professionally built Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission transfers the power to the Ford 9” rear end with 3.50 gears. This Thunderbird was built to participate on the Pro Touring circuit. On top of all the engine and transmission work, the brakes and suspension received a thorough look through. The top half of the car is wrapped in a custom vinyl wrap that appears like stainless steel, while the lower half is painted red, which combines for an interesting and unique look. The red vinyl interior is in good condition, free from major signs of wear. A neat feature to these Thunderbirds is the swing away steering wheel. Simply push the shifter to the right, slightly passed the park position, and the entire steering column will swing to the right, creating more room for the driver to exit the car. The odometer reads 109,932, while the actual mileage is unknown, about 5,500 miles have been put on the car since the recent restoration and engine work were complete. Options for this 1963 Ford Thunderbird include: Air Conditioning, AM Radio, Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Swing-Away Steering Wheel, Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. This is a neat example of an early 60’s T-Bird, which has received excellent power improvement and is ready for a new owner to enjoy. 1963 Ford Thunderbird

Engine: 390 CID V8

Mileage: 535 ( since rebuilt )

The Tampa Showroom is offering this 1963 Ford Thunderbird for sale. A bullet bird, how cool is this ride! This Thunderbird has a 390ci V-8 with an automatic transmission. The T-bird has a newer top and the interior has been lifted from the old to the new with carpet an, seats, and door panels. The newer paint looks very good and this bullet is ready for the road. During the build, new brakes, gas tank & lines, transmission serviced, a new Holly carburetor, driveshaft balanced, trunk mat kit, master cylinders, power booster, and multiple trim pieces. Heads have been hardened to accept regular gasoline. This bird comes with a cover, extra rear bumpers, original heads, carburetor, and fuel pump. All this work was completed 2012 and with only 535 miles put on the odometer since the build. The third generation of the Ford Thunderbird is a personal luxury car produced by Ford for the 1961 to 1963 model years. It featured new and much sleeker styling than the second generation models. Sales were strong, if not quite up to record-breaking 1960, at 73,051 including 10,516 convertibles. A new, larger 390 cu in 6.4 L FE-series V8 was the only engine available in 1961. The Thunderbird was 1961's Indianapolis 500 pace car, and featured prominently in US President John F. Kennedy's inaugural parade, probably aided by the appointment of Ford executive Robert McNamara as Secretary of Defense. It shared some styling cues with the much smaller European Ford Corsair. Changes for 1963 were relatively mild. Some additions to the option list included vacuum assisted door locks and an AM/FM radio; an AM radio and a remote driver's side mirror became standard. Options include: Power Brakes, AM radio, Hub Caps, Power steering, power top, vinyl interior, tilt wheel, radial tires, power windows, . Engine: 390 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 26,017 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1965 Ford Thunderbird convertible. The Thunderbird was introduced as a sporty two seater geared to the luxury crowd. A segment that had been pretty much ignored by American car makers. Starting out as a little 2 seater the car would see the addition a lot of things but rear seats has to be the biggest. This 65 is a great example of why these cars became so loved back then. Even though the car is a bigger car it carries all that sheetmetal nicely and does not appear to big as it really is. The blue paint on the car looks great with the base coat clear coat giving it a whole new depth that could not be achieved back then. The white top just enhances that blue even more. The wide white walls are the perfect match and really put an exclamation point on the build. The hubcaps are a welcomed addition and give it a classic feel. Under the hood is one of Ford’s go to engines an FE big block 390 that sounds amazing. The transmission shifts nicely giving the car a very cruiser feel. Unlatch the 2 hooks and hit the button as the white top comes down giving the car a totally different look. The white leather interior is easily showed off now and is sure to grab attention no matter where you go. If you have been wanting a great running and looking 60’s era convertible with big block power this beauty is the car for you. Receipts are available upon request. 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1

1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1

Engine: 351 CID V8 2V
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 74,686 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a one of a kind 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1. Sold new on August 28th 1973 in Niagara Falls, New York; this Mach 1 has been lovingly maintained and cared for since. Right off the bat, the car as taken to Armor Guard to be Rust Guard treated. The sticker still remains on the window, and clearly the product did its job as the car is incredibly solid. From then on, the stewards whom owned the vehicle were fanatical about keeping maintenance records, and documentation throughout the car’s life. From oil change invoices, to original Dealership paperwork, almost all of it has remained with the car. With this paper trail, we know the car made it’s way from New York to South Carolina, and then eventually to Illinois. The car is a Mach 1 with it’s original 351 Cleveland under the hood, and a C6 transmission and 9” rear end. It is a well optioned car with bucket seats, factory stripes, factory tachometer, factory AM radio, and even a period style aftermarket FM converter. For the music buff, it also has a factory 8 track player, so you can jam REO Speedwagon’s Ridin the Storm out, or Elton John’s Crocodile rock on 8 track! Other options include: power steering, power brakes, 3 speed wipers, and cigarette lighter. With a recent visit to the Ford dealership, perished suspension and brake components have been replaced, and the car has been given a clean bill of health. As it sits, it is a wonderful highway cruiser and a joy to display at shows. Whether you’re an experienced Mustang collector, or wishing to enter the collector car hobby, this Mach 1 would be a great choice. You can see this 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1 in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 618-271-3000 or STL@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.
