Now available in our Philadelphia location is a 1957 Chevrolet Corvette with fuel injection. This car is still very much as it was when the restoration was completed less than 100 miles ago, and it offers an unbeatable combination of performance and good looks. To many, this is exactly what the mental picture of a 1957 Corvette describes: red on black, fuel injection, 4-speed and ready to go to a new home. The ’57 Corvette was the last of the single-headlight series. They featured many new performance options including 245- and 270-hp V8s with single or dual 4-bbl carbs; and the injected 250-hp and 283-hp engines. This one has the 283 CI 283 HP V8. GM built 6,339 1957 Corvettes. 713 cars were ordered with RPO 579B (11% of the cars built), which was the option code for the 283/283, a high-lift cam and Rochester fuel injection, like our car. Wearing a set of bias ply tires just like it did in 1957 this car goes down the road just like it did in 1957. This is one of the first cars that Detroit produced that was delivering a horse power per inch. The fulie Corvettes are legendary with enthusiasts and are sure to be the focus of attention at any show. That feeling is just as strong as it was back then and continues to pave the way for the great car’s bright future. We are proud to present this stunning 1957 Corvette, a prime representation of the C1 generation. Cloaked in an amazing shade of Cascade Green it is a 250 HP original fuelie car. The single headlights, the last year for this option, shine brightly and the AM wonder bar radio continues to crank out great tunes just as it did back in 1957. Original factory gauges still work strongly including the center mounted tachometer. Powering this amazing car is a correct 250 horsepower 283 V8 engine with a Rochester Ramjet factory fuel injection system making this Corvette one of 1,040 fuelies produced! Coupled to the healthy engine is the correct four-speed manual transmission that shifts with ease. The interior is just as nice as the exterior with the original ivory shade. A manual beige top matches perfectly with the carpet and provides a striking combination of color and style with the beautiful body lines and paint. This car was well-taken care of for the majority of its life and is seeking a new home to start the next chapter. Engine: 283 CID V8 Dual QuadTransmission: Borg Warner 4-speedMileage: 2,946 ( undocumented )
For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1957 Chevrolet Corvette. This '57 is painted in a traditional Venetian Red with an Creme cove and a Beige soft top and matching hard top. 1957 was a big year for the Corvette. Fuel Injection and an optional 4 speed were introduced. Engine options were becoming more popular and ranged from a standard 220 horse single carburetor all the up to a Fuel Injected 283 pumping out 283 horse power. In 1957, this was a staggering number. To be able to produce one horsepower per cubic inch was almost unheard of. This fine example was built in early December of 1956. Original stamp pad on original engine was F1026FG. This decodes Flint Michigan, October 26th of 1956, Dual Quad Power Glide. Accompanied with the sale are copies of the original paperwork from dealer in Troy, NC to prove original stamp pad #s on original block. Present engine has correct early 1957 dual quad carburetors, correct intake manifold 3739653 and correct 997 dual quad heads which are cast dated J-24-6. Replacement rebuilt engine block 3731548, 5,000 - 10,000 miles since rebuild is cast dated J-18-6 and has been stamped F1026FG. Original paperwork from original dealer who first sold the Vette on 7-31-57 to original owner that proves car was originally Venetian Red. It also has correct rebuilt 1110891 dual point distributor, correct rebuilt wiper motor 5047984, correct rebuilt generator 1102043. It has a reproduction coil 1115091. Power is sent through a rebuilt 1962 Borg Warner T 10 4 speed transmission with a Hurst shifter. Out back is a set of 3.55"1 gears with posi-traction. The hardtop has plexiglass dated January 1959. All gauges work and has a rebuilt speedometer, Quartz clock and an aftermarket electronic tachometer. Rubber is near new with 500 miles and are Coker radials. Hubcaps are correct non-vented. The Corvette is with its 4th owner with history going back to the original purchase and has been with the same owner since 1990. Engine: 327 CID V8Transmission: 4-Speed ManualMileage: 16,877 ( undocumented )
For sale in our Houston Showroom is this gorgeous 1962 Chevrolet Corvette. This is one for ages! Fresh out of a complete nut and bolt restoration, with a couple of minor upgrades (read on), this car is absolutely stunning and shines bright like a diamond in the sun. Originality is key with this Corvette, except for the fact that it has received new front disc brakes, new power rack and pinion steering, and an HEI ignition system; however, both improve its driveability significantly, without detracting from its originality. The car has a very straight body, with very clean lines on its all-original body, and it looks as good underneath as it does up top. It runs & drives very well, with plenty of power and torque from its 327 CID V8, and the smooth-shifting original T-10 4-speed manual transmission. The entire interior was restored, with new carpet and new seating, as well. This Silver Streak has a newly-rebuilt 327/340 HP engine, with an owner-stated original block and trans. However, when the engine was re-decked, the block pad stamping was damaged. We'll not claim it as a numbers-matching car due to that, but it very well may be provable (call Horatio Caine, maybe?). It has a great close ratio T-10 4-speed manual transmission that shifts very smoothly up & down through the gears. It has beautiful original hub caps & new tires. Options on this 1962 Chevrolet Corvette for sale include AM Wonderbar Radio, Hub Caps, Seat Belts, Spare Tire and Jack, and Vinyl Interior. Overall, it’s a very impressive car & has a combination that’s given it that ‘Look that makes YOU Look'. This rare beauty is sure to please its next owner for many years to come. This vehicle is an absolute head turner and would make an amazing addition to any garage. Engine: 283 CID V8 270HP 2x4BLTransmission: 4 Speed ManualMileage: 60,200 ( undocumented )
For sale in our Dallas-Ft. Worth showroom is this gorgeous tuxedo black 1959 Chevrolet Corvette convertible. This stunning car has a beautiful red interior, a 270 hp 2x4 solid lift 283 with a 4-speed transmission and wide whitewalls with knockoff hubcaps. To the credit of all involved, the 1959 Corvette was “cleaned up” considerably. For one, the chrome “suspenders” were removed from the design, providing Corvette with a more swept back look that was synonymous with speed. For another, it was decided that the faux hood louvers would be eliminated, returning the Corvette to a semblance of its former self. While these features were key identifiers of the 1958 Corvette, there was no question that the elimination of the excessive chrome would reduce weight and help increase performance. Much like the exterior of the Corvette, the interior received minor, but significant updates as well. Both the door handles and the armrests were repositioned and a small-item storage compartment was added beneath the passenger side grab bar. In addition, both the driver and passenger seats were redesigned to offer increased lateral support of their occupants. All tachometers now indicated up to 7,000 rpm and offered redline and safe limit indicators. Sun visors were introduced to the 1959 Corvette as a new option and concave instrument lenses replaced the flat covers of the 1958 Corvette, thereby reducing sun glare (and other reflections) that might cause a driver to become distracted. To view this vehicle in greater detail including 100+ HD photos and videos, visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For the last 30 years this Corvette has been kept original and maintained by the same owner and, to this day, it makes for a great turn key cruiser! The red and white color combination is one of the most sought after of this body style and is easy to see why as you look around this car. The Chrome accents make the paint jump out from the crowd, and the red interior to match makes a seamless transition between the inside and out. As you open the door and slide into the driver’s seat, you will be taken back in time by the two-tone dash, chrome accents, and the large steering wheel that came stock back in 1957. Fire up the 283 cubic inch V8 and it’ll come to life quickly! The four speed manual transmission transitions smoothly between gears and is overall a very satisfying car to drive. The bias ply tires provide a cushy ride and keep it looking original. Included in the sale are the original WCFB dual four barrel carburetors. Engine: 283 CID Fuelie V8 290 HPTransmission: Borg Warner T10, 4 Speed Mileage: 4,687 ( since rebuilt )
Gateway Classic Cars of Detroit is proud to offer a beautiful 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Fuelie. Introduced in 1957, mechanical fuel injection was offered on Corvettes as a higher horsepower variant of the standard cars. In 1959 this meant your choice of a 250 Horsepower or 290 Horsepower 283 CID V8 with no carburetor to be found. 745 buyers chose the $484.20 option to get the 290 HP Fuelie. This particular example is beautifully optioned in Crown Sapphire with white coves and Turquoise interior. She wears the appropriate hub caps with knock offs wrapped in wide white wall tires. The chrome trim on this particular car is in great shape and makes for a dazzling piece of eye candy. Inside you'll find more chrome and stainless trim to accent the black upholstery. This awesome 1959 Corvette has the Crown Sapphire paint that only 888 Corvette’s left the factory with. Driving enthusiasts will be delighted to see that behind the 290 HP v8 is a proper 4 speed manual transmission. Speaking of the drive train, the engine has been completely rebuilt, and perhaps even more importantly, the fuel injection system has been rebuilt by an expert that specializes in these systems. The car runs beautifully and is a delight to pilot down the road. Being a Fuelie, and therefore quite rare, this is a true collector's piece. This car would be at home in the most avid Corvette collector's garage. You can see this awesome 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Fuelie in greater detail in our Detroit showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is very pleased to offer this absolutely immaculate 1959 Chevrolet Corvette roadster (RPO 867) for sale right now in our Arizona showroom. This beauty comes equipped with everything a C1 performance Corvette enthusiast could want - the numbers-matching engine is factory-rated at 245 HP (RPO 469) when equipped with the dual four barrel carbs and a regular camshaft. Of course, all the power is transmitted through a BW T-10 manual 4-spd transmission (RPO 685) to a posi-traction rear axle (RPO 675). This American icon is painted a very rare color called Frost Blue (502A) with complementing white coves (510A). The red interior really pops with this exterior color combination. Of the 9,670 Corvettes built in 1959, just 1,024 were painted this striking color, putting this color's production at just 10.6% of the yearly total. No further breakdown exists of cove colors and interior colors. If so, this car would undoubtedly be much rarer than that. The icing on the cake for this roadster is that it has been awarded NCRS credentials. Vey impressive and when you see this car in person, you'll quickly understand why. Nicely optioned with an AM Radio (RPO 102), whitewall tires (RPO 290), two tone paint (RPO 440), folding top (470), this amazing '59 'vette will be the focal point of any collection or the best car that most people can say they've ever had! Engine: 250 Inline 6Transmission: 2 Speed Powerglide Mileage: 667 ( since rebuilt )
This 1954 Chevrolet Corvette is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. When initially released in 1953 the Corvette was intended to compete with the smaller European sports cars of that era. Harley Earl developed the initial design which was sleek smaller 2 seat sports car that looked amazing and caught everyone’s attention, but the price would seem to be a major setback. Having that said GM would only sell 3640 units in 1954 making these extremely collectible today. This particular beauty has been treated to a yearlong frame off restoration with pictures and receipts included with the sale. Once completed the car was driven for about 600 miles and put on display at the Corvette museum in Bowling Green KY for enthusiasts to enjoy. The body was taken off and stripped down and then painted back to its original white color which still looks amazing today. With all of the chrome either replaced or brought back to its original luster it easy to see why so many caught the Corvette bug. The frame was treated to the same process which not only insured the structural integrity but gave the underneath a fresh and clean look. The original, numbers matching, blue flame six was cleaned up with the original 2 speed power glide given the same treatment. With the engine and transmission back together, they were placed back onto that freshly painted frame. With the body completed it was dropped back onto the frame giving this 1954 Corvette its new lease on life. The red interior was the last step with the red really popping against that white exterior. The tan convertible top is in excellent shape and shows well but this car was meant to be seen with the top down. Press the button between the seats and place the top in the hidden storage area and the 1954 Corvette has the look of a true roadster. When it is all said and done this Corvette is sure to make the next owner a very happy person. Options on this 1954 Corvette include a Manual Convertible Top, Leather Interior, AM Radio, Hubcaps and, Bias Ply White Wall Tires.
